I work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Another staff of myself had to plan a vacation for two of the persons we work with. David wanted to come to Chincoteague for a long time and they really really enjoyed themselves. We thought the front stairs would be a challenge but everything went smoothly. They loved the house and they loved seeing the deer. They had a great vacation and we will be coming back.

We really enjoyed the property. It was spacious and well supplied. I love the screened in back porch with the radio. I will book it again.

My group had a great time at this house and in Chincoteague/Assateague. It was a good size, clean and functional, and had all the basics and plenty of room for our group. There were some quirks, though, that keep me from giving it the highest rating. Two of the beds were quite hard while the third had ill-fitting bedding, making for not the best sleeping. There was a gaming system prominently displayed, but we couldn't get it to work. Most annoying, though, was that while the back porch is screened in around the sides, the flooring is wood with large gaps between the slats, so the mosquitos can (and did) still get through. A nice quiet spot for a family, but maybe not the best fit for every group.

Good space for our family of four. Nice layout. Large and well appointed kitchen. Pleasant view from the screened porch. Private and quiet.

Thank you for the nice review, we have many of the minor maintenance issues on schedule for attention now that rentals are slowing and there are breaks in the guest dates.

The house needs a work. Floor tiles were broken, it was dusty, and the furniture could use an update or a cleaning. We couldn't get some of the appliances to work, but a replacement toaster was brought to us quickly when I emailed about the problem. The house is in a good location, it has a nice view.

A perfect spot

I fell in love with Chincoteague years ago and always wanted to visit for more than a day so I invited my son and family for a weeks vacation! We relished each tranquil day gathering on the screened in back porch visiting and enjoying the backyard wildlife. It was the perfect spot to entertain my 2.5 year old granddaughter!! Hope to make this an annual event.

Reviewer Comments: The Sandy Moose house was nice , only thing is that the lighting in yhe kitchen was low due to having only 2 bulbs out of 4 and the one in kitchen had blown out , we called and reported that we needed more light but didnt get it ..my grandsons were so excited about the outside shower but was unable to use it due to no hot water..other then that the house is nice and would stay again

As someone who's in charge of and enjoys doing the cooking, the kitchen was spacious and well equipped.The screened in porch was a haven for morning yoga and afternoon coffee. The floor-plan offered and easy fellowship privacy of the master bedroom. Quiet lot and street were another bonus.

The house is set up perfectly with a master bedroom suite on one side and 2 bedrooms and a full bath on the other with the kitchen and living room in the middle. The space was very comfortable. Quick drive to anything you need or a nice walk to Maddox street for coffee and donuts in the morning.Lots of wildlife visible from the front porch or screened in back porch. We are planning to make this trip a tradition!

Wonderful stay

We loved this house and had a wonderful week. The house is very comfortable. I would warn about 2 very minor things: 1. The AC doesn't work great. We were comfortable but needed fans. 2. The king bed was a very hard mattress and I ended up sleeping in the room with the twin beds instead because I have back and neck problems. Neither of these should dissuade anyone from renting but are just things I would have wanted to know ahead of time. Overall we loved the house and would definitely recommend it.
