Charming 4 Bedroom 3 Full Bath River Cottage conveniently located in Dunnsville, VA on the Rappahannock River. Large 1 acre lot with a private dock not far from marinas in Tappahannock (Parker's) and Center Cross (Garrett's). Large rear deck and sun porch with beautiful views of the river, especially at sunrise. Outdoor fireplace, gas and charcoal grills, picnic table, outdoor swing near the beautiful magnolia tree are a few of the amenities. Bring your favorite fishing pole or use one of ours. Lots of fun things to do on the Rivah: boating, tubing, kayaking, fishing or just plain relaxing. This is a great place to bring the family for a week or just a long weekend. You will find lots of fun things to do in the area for all ages and lifestyles. This river home is not far from Urbanna, Tappahannock, Kilmarnock or Deltaville where you can find good dining, oysters and crabs (depending on season). No matter what the season, it is always relaxing at the Rivah!

Siblings retreat

Loved the neighborhood! Beautiful views! Wind winery was definitely worth the trip. We kayaked, fished from the dock and rode our bikes. Friendly neighbors and very convenient to Food Lion.

Quiet, peaceful cottage

Spacious home was ideal for a 2 family getaway. Place was clean and the main living area was large and spacious. Owners were very responsive. Having a large bowl of water on the back porch was very welcoming for our dog. The lot itself was very large giving you a lot of privacy. The screened in back porch was great for bug free dining outdoors. Hated to leave.

We rented this lovely home for a few days and just loved it. The home had everything we needed, clean and easy check in. The view over the water...great sunrises. Plenty of space and having rooms on each side of the home was nice too.

river relaxing

The house has a good layout and is very comfortable. The location is fairly rural which we like, but not too far to a grocery store. We caught blue catfish off the dock, went kayaking, and enjoyed watching the osprey and eagles. The yard is very big and we enjoyed playing cornhole and throwing the baseball. We would rent this house again.

Sunrises were amazing. It was a nice house with bedrooms on opposite side of the house for privacy. Sunroom is very nice addition to the property.

Relaxing at the “rivah”!

It’s easy to relax at the river cottage. My favorite “thing” was watching sunrise from the porch, which was recently screened in, and listening to the birds greet the morning. So tranquil! There’s a nice Food Lion close by, as well as various restaurants. Thanks, John & Paige!

Beautiful Waterfront Cottage with all the Feels.

Great well stocked river cottage. Love the stay here with family. Gorgeous views of the river and huge lot. The fact it was dog friendly was a huge plus. Only negative was having to take our own trash to the dump. Luckily a family member had a truck, or we would have been out of luck.

Breathtaking Sunrises

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! John & Paige were excellent hosts. We had to change our reservation due to hurricane Ian and they were very accomaditing. The cottage was great and the open covered porch was awesome. The river views and sunrises were amazing! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Views of the Rappahannock River

Wonderful views of the Rappahannock River! The home was open, bright and clean. The single story house makes it easy for grandparents to get around and to keep an eye on little ones. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property for a river vacation.

Quiet Weekend Away

We were very comfortable at the house. It was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a quiet weekend fishing off the dock and enjoying the peaceful view of the water. We loved being able to bring our pups and the yard is a great size. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful views of Rappahannock River

Owner was great and very responsive to our needs. The oven had an electrical board go out and we had a brand new oven within an hour. All in all a great trip.

Perfect vacation in every way

Hands down the best home I have ever rented, and I have rented many over the years .The hosts were wonderful and the home exceeded our expectations. Perfect for a group or large family. The layout allows for privacy when needed and gathering for fun, comfortably anytime. 6 adults and 2 toddlers and never crammed together. Huge yard both front and back, Truly wonderful.

Property fine for older people

The property is advertised - has private dock with pictures that include boat lift, the lifts are fine but unusable as they had owners watercraft in them both. That left tying up our boat quite difficult. Pictures show beautiful waterfront but neglects to show you that there is no sandy beach area and the water off of the bulkhead is over the average toddler's head. The property owner addressed a fly problem prior to our arrival but the issue remained. We were advised this was because the prior renter had left doors and windows open.
