A Scandinavian retreat. Located on 2.84 acres with main house. Approx. 834 square feet on main level w an additional 2 lofts. Former potato bunkhouse remodeled to a modernized retreat w charming whimsical decor and comforts of home. Authentic wood burning sauna available upon owner approval. Step outside after a cleansing steam and cool off under Milky Way and enjoy a warm shower in mountain air, or use our indoor shower attached directly to steam room. Kitchenette, living area, bedroom, reading nooks, bathroom and shower. Close to Flagstaff, en route to Grand Canyon, Locket Meadow, Inner Basin, & Snowbowl Ski Resort. Warm stained concrete heated floors. Our authentic wood burning sauna is available for use w a fee (25$)per time used. Pets are to be cleared w owners and there is pet fee (35$/pet/3days) to be paid before arrival.

Amazing, quaint escape !!

My friend and I brought our kids to stay for a quick getaway. We throughly enjoyed the amenities, location, and relaxed atmosphere provided here. There were plenty of places to sleep, cookware so we could make a few meals, and plenty of cozy blankets. The kids love the loft area as their own personal “play area”. I highly recommend for anyone looking for absolute relaxation!!

A whimsical space!

Clean and well appointed w/everything you would need and then some. A great location to enjoy all of Flagstaff or just stay in and luxuriate in the sauna! Really appreciated the tea selection and the private yard. High scores all around. The whole family is looking forward to returning!

Oasis in a snow storm

My fiancée and I with our dogs stayed 2 nights. We came to see the Grand Canyon but there was an intense winter storm while we were here. It didn’t seem to phase the locals but seeing as we’re from California, we were apprehensive about driving in the snow. It got down to 8 degrees but the cottage stayed cozy and we were grateful for the heated floors. If it wasn’t for the ample space and sauna this trip would have been ruined. It was a very nice place to be holed up for a storm. We will just have to come back in the Spring to see the Grand Canyon and definitely stay here again.

Perfect little place!

We absolutely loved this space! Perfect size for my small family. Beautiful little backyard where we grilled, ate and enjoyed a campfire every night. The location was close to fishing, hiking, horseback riding, restaurants and a grocery store. Thank you for helping to make our family vacation a great one!

Adorable Spot

This guest house was fantastic! I was in town to work for a couple of weeks, and this was a perfect cosy, comfortable spot. The view coming out the door was spectacular, and the location was great.

*Perfectly Quaint*

Excellent communication from Ryan! We will stay here again when visiting NAU for sure. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to relax but still have the amenities of home away from home. Cutest decor and so comfy. We didn’t try out the sauna because the weather was too hot, but I bet in the winter it would be amazing!

Great place for a quiet stay!

We had a wonderful time, everything we needed was provided, and even though there wasn't a TV it turned out we didn't really need one. Next time we need a summer getaway we'll be back!

Cozy and unique

We stayed for a graduation and really enjoyed our stay here. We have a 2 year old that throughly enjoyed the lofts(with our supervision of course). We were pleasantly surprised to find 2 small mattresses upstairs in one of the lofts. We didn’t end up using them but if we returned that’s somewhere separate for the kids to sleep. The bathroom/shower was so cool and unique. It kind of reminded me of a cabin feel but clean. We appreciated having the washer and dryer since we traveled cross country. Very nice hosts. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Oh and very convenient location for NAU and flagstaff. Thank you guys.

New Years Ski getaway

Stayed for 3 nights for a cozy getaway in the snow and home base for skiing. The rental was perfect for our family and fur kids. Ryan was easy to communicate with and very responsive. The sauna was perfect after a long day on the slopes. All the essentials were there and our teenagers appreciated having their own separate loft! Definitely will stay again. Oh and the massive heard of elk passing through the property in the morning was pretty cool too!

Not for everyone

Communication with host was great. Location felt isolated. I went in December and was constantly cold especially with the bathroom being located so close to back door exit with lots of drafts. This place wasn't for me but I'm sure others will like it.

Ah-mazing Stay for Thanksgiving

When I tell you I could make a whole thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings because the home away from home provided everything I needed, I mean it! Ryan is an amazing host who was more than gracious to provide an amazing stay that included our silly emotional support dog Apollo to roam about outside in the spacious backyard. Do not sleep on this oasis, it’s worth the stay. Will definitely book again in the future

Everything You Need

Communication was great. Check in was easy. Overall this place worked well. It was a bit cluttered and challenging to find places to set luggage or other items. Being dog friendly was nice but tricky to let your dogs in the yard even with supervision as there was a way for them to get out easily. Also a strange set up to have to go through the bathroom to get to the backyard. The place worked okay and was clean, just a bit too cluttered and strange set up for convenience with being pet friendly.

The place was so cute and super clean inside! Exceeded our expectations and would definitely stay again. Ryan was great - we accidentally locked ourselves out (our error entirely) and he was quick to resolve the issue and was very understanding. Thank you again!

Had a great stay

wood burning sauna and outdoor shower made this unique stay very pleasant. There was plenty of space and room for our dog to run around. Wouldn't change much about this visit.

A cozy stay!

We loved this unique spot! Perfect for people looking for something a little different from your average place. The listing gave us the impression that it wasn't necessarily meant for kids, but on being there, a couple areas seem especially for them. There are two lofts with low ceilings that would be tougher for adults to make use of. There were also a number of children's books. We really enjoyed the style of the decor. One thing we didn't get to make use of was the sauna, which would be wonderful, I'm sure. Maybe next time! This place is in a nice, quiet area, and close to lots of hiking trails, which was perfect for us. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Charming place

The place is exactly how it’s described. Take advantage of the sauna, it is worthwhile. Bring a book as well, so many great spots to curl up in.
