We enjoyed a relaxing four nights at this unique property. Its location is convenient to all things Louisville and Lexington, and we also enjoyed that it was "removed" from the hectic pace and traffic. Quiet mornings and evenings outdoors made this a perfect location for our fall trip to horse country for a lovely wedding.

The host was fantastic and even called when the cabin accidentally got double booked through a second site to confirm we wanted the cabin.The grounds were absolutely beautiful and we spent our mornings eating breakfast on the porch.

Probably one of the coolest homes we have stayed in…truly a special place and the hosts are wonderful! Comfortable spaces, well appointed kitchen and the property is stunning, The front porch is a place you will not want to leave. Family friendly. Very close to downtown Louisville. With owner permission you can visit with gorgeous horses too. We will be back here for sure thank you!!

Our stay was amazing! We so appreciated the level of communication with our host, the quiet beauty of the property, and the proximity to our conference in Louisville. We would highly recommend this home.

Overall great place to stay. Quiet property with plenty to do, and close enough to Louisville to easily make the trip in. The kids loved the playsets outside and it had everything we needed.

Perfect property indoors and out. The pictures are great but can’t capture how amazing this place really is. We would highly recommend people to stay here if you are anywhere in the Louisville area. The hosts were delightful and willing to help with anything we wanted to see in the area. We would definitely stay here again! We give it a 10 out of 10.

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon using the address provided by the host and easily navigated to the property. The drive up appeal was spectacular. Cabin was super clean and decorated for Fall. Being a log cabin from the era it has the huge timbers and floors are not exactly level but it is all because of the constructuon methods and materials. Tastefully decorated and supplied ... just as described. Front porch is amazing with glider, porch swing and table/chairs along with the nice breeze. There is a fire pit and play equipment that we did not use. Kitchen was pretty well stocked and we cooked several meals. Internet connectivity was great and TVs easy to work. Fun activity was feeding the horses carrots and taking walks in the neighborhood. Host was SUPER responsive and provide great info on local items (parks and grocery store). This cabin was a great base camp for all our Kentucky adventures!

This is such a wonderful place to stay with kids. My kids loved all the swing sets and feeding Milo apples and carrots! The hosts are very helpful/friendly.

What a lovely property! Really enjoyed our week-long stay. The cabin is a perfect blend of historic with modern amenities. It came with everything you need except the food! Tim and Lynn were just lovely and we enjoyed meeting them. The kids enjoyed seeing the horses. The property is spacious and beautiful. We would definitely come back for another stay!

We were two couples exploring the Bourbon trail between Louisville and Lexington. We enjoyed our stay at this historic hilltop retreat. Furnishings are comfortable. Main floor bathroom is not connected to the bedroom. We did not cook, but kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed sunny evenings on the large porch. Our host lives next door and was very responsive.

For future guests, we do like to note that the main floor bathroom is located just off the hallway rather than being directly connected to the bedroom, which is typical of many historic homes of this era. Great place to stay and an even better host. Tim was great from start to finish. Making us feel like we were at home the whole time. Highly recommend this place. It is definitely in our rotation of places to stay moving forward.

We had the best time in this cozy welcoming cabin for our family to spend Thanksgiving together. Lynn and Tim are great hosts and went above and beyond to take care of our family. Everything was beautiful and very well stocked and equipped -we didn’t need anything! Our grandsons loved the bunk beds and the swings and Lynn even called out their horses so the boys could feed them some carrots! Thanks so much for a perfect stay!

Bourbon Trail Tour

Stayed at this property for a tour of the bourbon trail and it was fantastic! The property was beautiful and the owner, Tim, was awesome… highly recommend this property!

Bourbon Trail visit

Communication was impeccable. Check in was so smooth. Location is second to none for the Bourbon Trail and many amenities close to the house. We will definitely book again!!!
