Duplex Penthouse La Cartuja

Very clean 3 bedroom penthouse, very secure with 24hr security, who really do check who you are ! Property was in extremely good condition and cared for by the owners, Well equipped, plenty of glass-wear and the furnishings and beds were clearly of good quality. In summary excellent location, very secure and the property is of a good standard.

Beautiful condo but difficult host and too far from places of interest

My family and I (grandparents, 2 small kids under 3, my husband and myself) had rented Casa Martine from Jean-Pascal from February to April 2019. This was the first time travelling to Spain, let alone the Costa del Sol. When we had originally booked the condo, we had grand plans of biking to the beach (4km away), the grocery store (1.5km away) and around town. Once we arrived at the condo and saw how far it was from everything, and that there were no sidewalks or safe bike lanes to travel with kids, we were quite disappointed. Needless to say, we had to rent a vehicle for the ENTIRE time, if we wanted to do anything outside of the condo community. The condo itself was beautiful and very well kept. The owners had spent a lot of time and money into making the condo feel like home. The condo had everything you could imagine needing and more. We made fantastic meals in the renovated, well equip kitchen and ate at either large dinning area every night. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and had comfortable beds; the washrooms were clean and the 2 large terraces had lovely dining and lounging areas to enjoy the Spanish sun. The community was very well maintained and employed the nicest people. The pools were opened for the last month we were there by request, and my kids thoroughly enjoyed spending many days in the pool. The tennis court was kept clean and well cared for. Because of the time of year we were there, we rarely ran into other people on the courts and had it all to our selves most days. Our experience at the condo was great. The owner was difficult to deal with regarding the cleaning. When negotiating your price, have him be very clear (and state in writing) what his cleaning expectations are, and if applicable ensure that the price Includes the fee for the cleaner he forces you to use. We were 4 adults that cleaned the condo on a regular basis and didn’t use his cleaner as often as he would have liked during our stay. So at the end of our stay, he withheld some of our damage deposit on a large cleaning bill that we fell was unjust, as we had left the condo very clean with fresh laundered sheets on the bed. Overall, we had a great time at the condo. This would be a nice place to stay for a golf vacation, as you are surrounded by golf courses, has a grocery store and fantastic restaurant (Grill Argentino) within a short walk. Due to the host and distance from Estepona and Puerto Banus, we would not recommend this condo.

Thank you for your complimentary comments about our apartment, It's amenities, Comfort and decoration. But i would like to clarify the rest of yours assessments : Regarding the housekeeping, I remind you that you asked me after making your reservation for three adults and two childrens, if a couple of your friends with a child can come to the apartment, and what additional price we wanted? I told you no additional fees, but in return and considering the number of occupants in the apartment (5 adults and three childs), that you take our housekeeper once a week for 3 hours. You had agreed to this arrangement. But you did'nt respect this arrangement, In three months of occupation you only took our maid only four times! This caused that after you left our housekeeper spent 10 hours instead of six hours scheduled in the price of your rental. It is therefore normal that four extra hours of cleaning is withheld on your deposit. Regarding your appreciation of the distant location of Puurto Banus and ESTEPONA, I am surprised that you did not look at the location plan of our residence which is automatically joined by ABRTEL/HOMEAWAY when you consulted the annoucement of our rental. So you have to be reasonable an mesure your appreciations.

Juste parfait

Nous avons passé un super séjour l’appartement est parfait propre bien aménagé avec beaucoup d’esuppement et bien situé beaucoup de chose au alentour,notre hôte Jean-Pascal nous a très bien renseigné pas de souci à la réception et au départ de l’appartement s’était parfait.
