This apartment is located in the heart of downtown Sitka adjacent to St. Michael's Cathedral within minutes of everything you need; restaurants, shopping, bars, harbors, grocery store, library, hiking trails and Sitka Fine Arts Campus. Across the street visit the Sitka Library or Harrigan Centennial Hall where you can watch the Russian Dancers perform during the summer months, visit the Sitka Historical Museum or attend a Summer Music Festival performance.
The apartment is located on the second level of a downtown commercial/residential building with captivating panoramic views of Sitka Sound Eastern Channel, surrounding mountains, Rockwell Lighthouse and Crescent Harbor. The main floor has a Mexican Pizza Restaurant, a consignment store and an Art & Jewelry Gallery. On the lowest level you will find a Food Co-op and Botanical Beauty Studio. Also, on the lowest level we feature a stunning mural from a local artist. The second floor is a combination of long term residential apartments and vacation rentals. The building is locked in the evenings and accessed with a pass key. The building has an elevator for tenants and quests only and the elevator key is provided after check in.
The building has 2 entries and will be locked in the evenings. The apartment is located on the second level so stairs will be necessary to access the apartment when checking in. An elevator key is provided after check in. Guests have an access key to use when the building is locked.
The apartment has everything you need to be comfortable and feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal, just bring the food. We provide basic spices, coffee and tea. The living room has captivating panoramic views of Sitka Sound Eastern Channel, surrounding mountains, Rockwell Lighthouse and Crescent Harbor. There is a smart tv for adding your favorite streaming app. And if you need it, wireless internet is available.

Great downtown location. Great views. No parking associated with the place so have to seek out different lots but for us not a problem. Busier times it could be. Did not bother us but there is some traffic noise at busy times. Host very communicative and place met expectations. Would stay again.

The apartment was great, fit all our needs. It was very clean, well stocked and location was perfect. The view was great with morning coffee, watching the eagles and sea lions. We were there for a weekend event so had the week prior to explore. I would certainly come back and recommend this property for others visiting Sitka.

Comfy Location with Views
Even on a rainy and cloudy day, the harbor view (eagles, fishing boats, seals and porpoises) was great. When the clouds lifted, the mountains were a treat!

Last Stop in Alaska

Wonderful Stay At Sitka Sound
Stunning views of the Sitka sound. Bald Eagles of all ages could be readily seen thru picture windows as well as other marine life.
This was our first two nights in Sitka. We easily got around, visited shops, museums, took a tour at the science center on the water, and had a wonderful time. Almost all attractions could be walked if desired, if not, there are taxis available.

Perfect view location
This VRBO met and exceeded my expectations. The location was super convenient, especially since we didn’t have a car most of the time, and the waterfront view was spectacular. There was some noise from traffic, but it quieted down at night. The tradeoff was more than worth it.
The spacious apartment had everything we needed to cook up family style meals, too.

Enjoy Sitka!
First time to Sitka and anxious to plan a return. We came to fish and place served us well. Conveniently located to the main part of town, very cozy and clean, and great view of the water! We didn't cook - tea kettle in the morning and dined locally - kitchen table warmly decorated with place settings and place well stocked with the necessities. Katy is a great communicator. Thank you for the stay!

Perfect Location!
This property is located right in the middle of Sitka's downtown historic district close to shops, restaurants, parks, and the city harbor. The Sitka water's edge was only 50 yards from our living room window from which we watched boats, wildlife, and a lighthouse in the distance. In fact, we were awakened one morning to the sight and sounds of six bald eagles fighting over a fish less than 20 yards from our living room window! We had a fantastic stay. Thanks to the owners for sharing their wonderful accommodations with us.

Amazing view, good location
Good central location for all activities and amazing view of Sitka Sound. It was one of those rare warm and sunny weeks in Sitka. It got quite warm, but only 2 of the windows could be safely opened. Others were screwed shut or not fully serviceable. My daughter said hot water would run out each day about 5 minutes into her morning shower, but my afternoon shower didn’t have that issue. It’s right above the main road to the airport, so more bustling than tranquil. Overall very comfortable place, and a really good spot to spend a few days.

Sitka on the waterfront
My 14yr old and I had a fantastic stay in Sitka. This property is a GREAT location overlooking the water and crescent harbor (where most charter fishing boats meet their guests). It is walkable to most of the great restaurants and downtown shopping as well as the Sitka National Historic Park. Apartment has all the basics you need. Great hosts, easy process in/out, ample street parking close by if you have a car. Not a ton of privacy between the two bedrooms so something to keep in mind. Laundry is not en suite but easy to access down the hall, would recommend bringing quarters as the Wells Fargo was only giving change to customers.
Would stay here again.

5 stars – A wonderful stay in Sitka!This was a very comfortable stay and we truly enjoyed our time! The views were absolutely stunning, and even though we were close to the hustle and bustle of downtown Sitka, the area felt peaceful and quiet — a perfect balance. The apartment was older but updated and clean. One helpful note for future guests: the laundry facilities could use a little upkeep. The dryers seemed to have clogged lint traps, so it often took two cycles to fully dry our clothes, even with smaller loads. Each washer and dryer cycle costs 1.50, so when the dryer needed a second run, it added up to about 4.50 per load.It would also be helpful to have a small sign posted in the laundry area noting the cycle times — the washer takes about 30 minutes and the dryer about 45. If you're short on quarters, there are two banks nearby where you can get change.That said, everything else about the stay was wonderful and we would definitely return. Highly recommend!
