Lovely Studio

I misread the listing and thought it was a queen bed, but that is my bad. Everything we needed was available. Good location; I loved hearing the ocean through the oprn windows.

Beautifully Appointed

Space is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. It’s just a studio kitchen, but I was able to cook complete meals because they had all the basics (oils, spices, utensils, etc). Communications with property manager was quick and helpful.

Lovely but stark

This overly soft bed was located a long walk from town. The breaker kept popping when we plugged in toaster. Had to fiddle with it each time. It was a very pretty place yet loaded with tons of unnecessary fluff. Not very warm and homey.

Hi Paula, I’m sorry you don’t enjoy a soft bed. We have two options either a soft bed or a very hard bed and we error on the side of softer because given our experience guests, they appreciate a softer bed. In regards to distance to town, this property is less than a mile to town. We encourage guests to rent cars given the weather can be unpredictable but it’s not a far walk if you have to walk it. I do it every day and enjoy it as do guests. Im sorry that is too far for you to walk. Again, I’m sorry our decor isn’t to your liking or taste. But that doesn’t warrant a 3 star review. We take every aspect of our decor into consideration when decorating and factor in what is the most comfortable for guests and practical. We add a lot of extras such as lotions, soaps, oatmeal, granola, high end coffee, high end furniture and decor. If that is too much for you next time you should stay at the Super 8 Motel where there’s no “fluff”. In regards to not “homey” , this rental is set up with everything you would need plus more in a rental and home. And for the price it is a steal to stay at this rental. Best of luck in the future finding anything as nice and comfortable especially for the price. We haven’t had an issue with breakers popping with past guests, so I’m not sure what you were doing to make it pop, but you also didn’t reach out to me to address the “issue”. Also, to criticize a rental on its appearance after you booked it based on its photos, is unfair.

A beautiful retreat

Skillfully designed for the space with a solid spacious table, cozy bedding, full kitchen, and many thoughtful details, this place was really wonderful. Sparkling clean and in a quiet neighborhood, too. It's walkable from the airport and to town if a person does not have too much baggage. I didn't have a car and was able to do things in town but didn't try going to any farther places. Christine is super responsive and helpful. I look forward to coming back.

Charming and Comfortable Studio

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the moment we stepped in the door to when we left, we had a comfortable and enchanting stay. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very functional and had great supply of soft towels. We were treated to a show of 10+ bald eagles flying over the houses across the street and appreciated the quiet of the neighborhood. We rented a car and parked it in the designated spot and enjoyed the ease of driving a few minutes to downtown or 15-20 minutes to spectacular hiking spots. I will recommend this cozy studio to everyone I know who plans to travel to Sitka and I hope to return sometime in the future. Thank you for creating such a clean, cozy, and charming space.

Though all family members have moved to other cities and states, one sister remains. We all returned over the Memorial Day weekend for our sister’s wedding. The weather was awful, as expected but, the 4 Seas Cottage where I stayed with one sister was simply amazing. When it was dreary and cold outside, this little studio apartment was bright, warm and cheerful inside. My sister and I live in the PNW and coffee is our drink. This rental had the coffee and other amenities covered! We recommend this place wholeheartedly.

The perfect place to stay! Christine’s cottage looks like it was professionally decorated. Nice touches throughout including bath robes. The walk into town is pretty and not too far. Christine stocked the frig with groceries since our flight arrived late in the evening. We would absolutely stay again!

Great place to stay

Clean, cozy room with lots of light. Literally walking distance from the airport and a 20 minute beautiful walk over bridge to the center of Sitka. We had an extended stay visiting our son who is working in Sitka and would definitely stay here again.

The decor and accommodation was everything describe in booking progress. Fantastic!

Every detail of this delightful cottage is perfect! I read another review that said that this property was just as pictured—it is! Everything was meticulously clean and well organized. If the owner is not an interior designer, he/she should be! The location of the property was perfect for us. We rented a car, so we were never in the car more than 5 minutes. It’s very close to the airport and downtown shopping. The only thing that I would add to this property is a very small microwave for reheating purposes. Other than that, it had everything we needed. I will definitely stay here on our next visit to Sitka!

The Perfect Long Weekend

This studio was the perfect place for a quick trip to Sitka! The private entryway was accompanied by a small private deck that felt homey and welcoming. There was some construction during the day, as this is a developing residential area but, the views of islands and harbors were incredible. The room was big enough to have distinguished spaces and not feel crowded. The studio was clean and the bed was made with fresh linens. The kitchen even came with a full-size fridge and all of the necessary cooking tools. It was conveniently located close to the airport, restaurants and the main town! As a host, Christine was responsive and answered our questions in a timely manner.
