"The Getaway" is a renovated 3-bedroom cottage on beautiful Lake Huron waterfront

Includes a fully-equipped kitchen with appliances and BBQ for all of your cooking needs

1000-sq ft, of living space on a single floor; cozy and warm with a mix of modern and rustic charm

Large lake-facing deck for morning coffees or family dinners

Cleared lawn-area, great for soccer, badminton or any other family play-time!

Lots of board games and streaming services for any rainy days (bring-your-own login)

Located on Cape Hurd, you will be minutes from the town and all local attractions like the Bruce Trail, the Grotto and Singing Sands beach. The cottage comes equipped with 2 adult bikes, 2 kayaks, and 2 stand-up paddleboards. Waterfront is walk-in flat-rock access great for swimming or wading.

The property was all as described and definitely a home from home. It had everything for a really comfortable stay. The kitchen had all equipment and appliances required to cook full meals if you wanted. There’s a well stocked supermarket in the town with everything you’ll need for the stay. The beds in the property were comfy and there was lots of storage for clothes.Outside was stunning - a beautiful view of the lake and lots of different seating areas to enjoy it from. The hot tub was fantastic and the addition of the kayaks and paddle boards was great. This property is highly recommended - a perfect place for total rest and relaxation.

Classic Cottage Experience

The Waterfont Cottage had everything we needed and more. Great location, plenty of space, and was well equipped with all the little things you forget you needed.The hosts were incredibly prompt with their responses and helped make for a great stay.

Nice cottage. Had everything you would need for vacation. You have to bring your own bed linen and towels. Overall, we had a good time with my family.

Secluded gem near the tip of Bruce Peninsula. Spectacular sunsets on a rocky shoreline. We enjoyed many of the excellent amenities offered. It’s minutes from Tobermory and other attractive destinations. The cottage is beautiful inside and out, and well stocked with all the conveniences. Super clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!

Dan’s waterfront cottage is located by Cape Hurd in close proximity to Fathom Five National Park, Tobermory and the beautiful Bruce Trail. The cottage had a great set-up, beds were very comfortable, great games and the most beautiful sunsets and waterfront views. We enjoyed campfires and star gazing from the beautiful backyard. Cottage was clean, had great amenities, and exceeded our expectations. Dan responded in a timely manner when we had any questions for him.

Exactly as described, the cottage is cozy and spacious. The location is secluded but close to town. The waterfront is wonderful. As an artist, I loved the rocky beach and clear water. My sons enjoyed the paddle boarding and everyone enjoyed the evening camp fire. The kitchen is clean and well stocked. The welcome bottle of wine and cheerful card from Dan and Lesley was much appreciated. Thanks for a great holiday!

Lovely Getaway

The cottage had a beautiful view of the lake. It was nice to have two sitting areas outside, one on the deck and one closer to the lake. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Great Stay

We had a lovely time at the cottage this past weekend. There was plenty of room for just the 2 of us, it's very private and quiet and the lakefront is beautiful, my husband even went for a quick dip in the cold lake! The wood stove and hot tub were great for chilly evenings. We also did some great hiking near The Grotto which was only about a half hour away.

Beautiful cottage

The cottage is located at a great spot, has direct access to Lake Huron. The atmosphere at the cottage is warm and cozy, it's very well appointed with all we need. We enjoyed it very much! Thanks for sharing the beautiful cottage with us!

Wonderful place to rest & recharge!

Stayed 3 night, the place was beautiful, exactly as it was described/shown in pictures. Very clean, right on the water. Check-in/out instructions were very simple and clear. The host was very responsive when we had questions. Overall 5/5, highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic cottage

A fabulous cottage that had everything that we needed. Our adult children paddle boarded, kayaked and biked with all supplied. Owner quickly responded with the few questions/concerns that we had. We would highly recommend this location.
