Tropical Winds 601 3 bedroom 3 bath gulf-front condominium Gulf Shores

Totally renovated this year (2022). Tropical Winds 601 is a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom corner unit with approximately 1300 sq ft located on the 6th floor. The condo was completely renovated at the beginning of 2019 including all new flooring, a custom kitchen, and all new furnishings. Comes with a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table with seating for 6 and two additional bar stools. King, king, two twins, sofa sleeper. Sleeps 8. Saturday to Saturday only during the Summer and Peak seasons.

Tropical Winds is located approximately 1 mile west of Highway 59. The property has an outdoor pool, a small fitness center, a BBQ grilling area, and a meeting room. 2 car limit. **Monthly stays pay for parking each month** Minimum 25-year age limit to rent.

STAY AND PLAY
This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo, and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Beds were uncomfortable

The beds that we were sleeping on was a very uncomfortable, also we had to use these turnout sofa, it too, was very uncomfortable. The location was great. The beach was great.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was very clean! Loved that it had an ice maker. View beautiful and beach great as it was small. Not far to walk to beach and not crowded. One elevator was plenty for the size of the condo.We had an issue with ice maker and once reported someone came quickly to repair. Only drawback was no beach chair and umbrella service available. However, there was service next door and the attendant was nice enough to put our chairs as close to our condo as possible. Pool needed some maintenance but we didn’t spend much time there.

Tropical Winds is a great place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great condo unit with plenty of space and the online description and photos are accurate. We enjoyed our two month stay and the people we met at Tropical Winds. This was our third time renting this specific unit. Be aware that there isn't a lot of beach in front of this complex. Beach restoration is planned for later on in 2023. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware, but the refrigerator only has two shelves and the ice maker makes a lot of noise when it cycles. There is also a separate standalone ice maker which is a great addition. The beachside king bed could use a new mattress. Also the area rug in the living room is starting to show its wear. There is an excellent pizza place right across the street and nearby restaurants that you can easily walk to.

No Way!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival the outside looked run down and in terrible need of a refresh. The inside of the condo was just ok. Any worse and I would have run. Luckily we travel with bathroom cleaner so we stayed. The ice maker never worked and we called 3 times. Finally the service man decided to blame us for it not working. Other than opening to see if we had ice our group touched nothing. We tried ordering rental chairs for the beach and were told Tropical Winds does not allow rentals on their property. Don’t plan on renting. We had to go purchase chairs. The unit advertised currently renovated or refreshed and the couch was at least 20 years old. AC works but was very loud, washing machine works but was so loud you could not run and watch TV in the living area at the same time. Lots of molding spots on the ceiling and just a dirty place. We will NEVER stay there again. Dog poop in the elevator on 2 different occasions. Don’t mind your dog but please clean up. Smokers at the pool and on various balconies. I have asthma with a smokers trigger so that was concerning.

Good week at Tripucal Winds 601

Tripical Winds 601 was very good but not perfect. Close proximity to the beach, well stocked clean condo although the towels were hotel 6-ish. Convenient codes for access to condo and pool/beach but numbers were incorrect on info sheet. Exercise room consisted of one tradmill and access to it and pool bathroom wasnt easy. There was a hospitality room with a shortcut to the pool bathrooms near the pool but it was always locked. The condo had a stand alone icemaker in addition to the fridge which was great. Nice balcony but the neighboring condo buildings stuck out further toward the beach than TW did so there were limited views down the beach in both directions. The garbage disposal was locked up upon arrival. We were able to fix it but it is recommended that the cleaning crew check it between guests. The condo does not have storage closets for beach gear, only a pen to set things in and we had a couple of items get pilfered during our stay. Could have taken them to our room or just outside but too much of a hassle. Also, the beach was narrow in the TW area and no canopies were allowed, only umbrellas. The grilling situation was interesting as well. The 2 charcoal only pits are positiined so wind passes from the beach to between the buildings in that area and it sets up a wind tunnel of about a steady 30mph going right through the pit area. Overall good time and good condo though.

Paradise for a week

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent July 1-10 at Tropical Winds, unit #601. The condo was perfect! We did have an issue with the ice maker, but they came and fixed it immediately and we had no issues for the rest of the week. My ONLY complaint is, the elevator went out and was out for the entire day, in to the night, walking 6 flights with pool bags and beach toys wasnt fun!!!

Beach vacation

This property was awesome. Just like the pictures. 6th floor. Nice view of the gulf right on the beach. Close to lots of good restaurants and fun things to do Roomy for the family.

In spite of cancelled Shrimp Fest!

While I was a little apprehensive about just one elevator, the condo smelling a tad musty and the access entry to the pool and beach looking a little outdated, it turned out to be a great place. Not many steps to a beautiful beach!

Condo was great, beach was not.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came down the end of July. We arrived and were excited, overall the condo was good. It could have been cleaned better I.e. burnt fries still in the oven, more sand on the floor than there should have been but that was an easy fix. The Condo is in a great location and the beach itself is clean, untilYou get in the water. I’m not sure how often this happens but there was so much algae in the water it made you not want to swim in it.

Family Vacation

Reviewer Comments: The Tropical Winds Unit 601 was as described. It was the size of unit that we needed for our family of 7. The location was perfect very close to all we had planned to do. Good supply of cookware. Some units never have enough cookware and this unit had the perfect amount and item needed. Very easy to get in and out of unit and complex. Easy access to the beach and pool area. Only thing I might change would be to have an area for overflow parking. With a three bedroom 3 bath unit it really need access to three parking spaces. That I guess is the only negative I had with the complex.

BOOK THIS CONDO!!!!

Rented this property from June 19th-26th and had a wonderful time!! The condo was immaculate and we loved the location and property. The beach was never overly crowded and we were able to enjoy the pool and beach each day while having easy access to the condo for drinks/snacks/bathroom. Because of the size of the complex, the pool was never crowded! Several times we had it to ourselves! We all LOVED the location!!!!!!! We had 2 families of 3 and thought the place was spacious and had all of the amenities we needed! Do not hesitate to book this place!!!!
