Ocean House 1506 3 bd / 3 ba, Gulf-front condo!

Ocean House #1506 is a west corner gulf-front 3 bedroom 3 bath condominium located on the 5th floor in building I overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1300 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are 3 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side master has an en suite bathroom with garden tub and shower and the middle bedroom has an attached bathroom with stand-up shower. King, Queen, Queen, Queen. No sofa sleeper. Sleeps 8

Ocean House I and II are 9 story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Ocean House has a large seasonal zero-entry outdoor pool and small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. Minimum age required: 23

Parking passes are purchased on-site at Ocean House at guard house or office located in building I - CASH ONLY. There is a maximum of 2 parking passes per unit and cost is set by the association and is subject to change at any time without notice.

STAY AND PLAY

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Girls Trip #24!

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms and living area. The kitchen seems small when we were all in it! It could definitely use some updating but we had a great time and would stay there again.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, but the condo itself had some issues. In one of the bathrooms, the vanity siding was peeling up by the toilet. We had to wear our shoes throughout because our feet were black from the dirty floors when we arrived. The kitchen has very little cooking and no grilling utensils. And we didn’t feel their was much information given about the rules of the condo itself, so much that we had a very inappropriate encounter with the condo security one evening.

Great Accommodations

Our 3rd year staying at Ocean House properties. Was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We love the location right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

Great condo in the middle of Guif Shores. Pool and beach are always maintained well. This is our sixth stay since 2002!!

Perfect Accommodations for us!!

Arrived on Wednesday afternoon to find the elevator out of order - after 5 trips up 5 flights of stairs to get our belongings into the condo everything else was perfect! The view was amazing, the layout of the condo was perfect for our family. The pool was so nice. The grounds were very clean and taken care of. The condo location is excellent for all the local restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay - will definitely return and we highly recommend!!

Friends Trip

Overall the property was very clean and well kept. We had no issues with anything. The rooms were nice. Access to beach was nice. Overall we all had a great time! Would definitely come back.

Wonderful

Property was just as described. Infinity pool was awesome for little ones. Super close to beach a plus. Need more parking on site, however we used the off site parking also. Had maintenance issues and fixed within 1 hour. Will definitely stay at Ocean House again.

Comfortable Unit for 10 People!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the condo was great. However, we had 10 people staying in one unit and we were only provided 3 rolls of toilet paper for the entire 3 days that we were there. Not a big deal but it was still hard to believe. There was also only one roll of paper towels & one extra trash bag provided. Again, not a big deal but when trying to keep the place clean with 10 people, it was hard to do so without the proper supplies. Needless to say, we had to go out and buy toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags for our stay. We left all of these items that we purchased behind in hopes to help out other tenants expecting to be provided with more than one of each item.

Questionable future stay at Ocean House

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First let me say that our room was fine. However, the overall stay was less than we desired. Security staff was rude! There were three of us wanting our parking passes at 4:30, prime time for people coming in. However, the two security people were sitting in the office talking and told us they were too busy to get them. Come back in an hour! Who are they serving? And when leaving in a blowing rain they told us we could not load under the building, not very friendly.And then there was the smoking. I observed 3 balconies lighting it up and several smoking by the pool. Not enjoyable sitting on balcony with the terrible smell of cigarette and cigar smoke. Where is the security controlling that? Oh they were probably in a meeting. Not sure that I will return to Ocean House. We've been there several times, but this time probably did us in.
