Townhouse 1900, the cottage Le Flamboyant duplex has been completely renovated in 2018, ideally located in the heart of the city, two steps walk from the castle and restaurants, you will be welcomed by Martine and Franck who will offer you to discover the region.

Ideal for your holidays, weekends, family or friends, the cottage is comfortable in a contemporary spirit or we have preserved the original materials. It includes a large living room with dining room for 8 people and a sofa to relax, TV and free Wi-Fi, a kitchen with dining area. WC on the ground floor.
Upstairs, three beautiful spacious bedrooms, 1 with double bed and private bathroom ideal for a family, each bathroom is equipped with washbasin, walk-in shower and toilet. The bedding is new and size 160 x 200 perfect for a good night.

For your comfort: your beds will be made upon your arrival and you will have available the bathroom linen. We lend bikes for your walks or for your trips in the city. You will have access to a relaxation area with garden furniture for 8 people and barbecue.

Need rest: You will be able to choose the Household option at the price of 100 €

Once properly installed, you can visit our beautiful region, Montreuil Bellay is conducive to relaxation, shopping, supermarket, swimming pool, river fishing, canoe base, castle and restaurants with regional flavors. Need more information, visit our website

A tiny piece of French heaven

Really lovely property. Very clean and tidy with a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher and washing machine. The area around is quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend Le Flamboyant Gite.

Gîte Le Flamboyant Montreuil Bellay

Perfect Gite for our stay to enjoy the local town and surrounding areas. Air con and sweep fans in the bedrooms were perfect as the weather during our stay hit the high 30 degree range. Outdoor seating and BBQ area was private and shaded. The Gite was fully equipped and our hoists were very helpful in advice on local attractions and any query we had.

Loire Valley Road Trip

A very pleasant few days in Montrueil-Bellay. The property was well equipped and pleasantly furnished. Martine is very pleasant, helpful and responded quickly to any queries. Shame about the number of restaurants that were closed - meant that eating out was challenging!

Terrific Gite.

Lovely gite in centre of Montreuil-Bellay with easy parking. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and great outside eating area. Boulangerie and butchers in same road. Large Super U five minutes walk away. Castle and river only ten minutes walk away. Central location for lots of major sites. Highly recommended.

Beautifully decorated and renovated old town house in the centre - would definitely come again

Old town house with high ceilings in the lounge and dining room. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of pans, crockery and cutlery. All the rooms are beautifully decorated (I wish she could come and do my house!!). The airco was a godsend in the bedrooms (we didn’t use it in the lounge). A couple of minutes walk from the castle one way and also from a Super U supermarket in the other. Picturesque old town. The owners were very friendly and provided information on our arrival but otherwise left us in peace. The stairs give you good exercise. I would definitely come again. A real find.

La France Profonde

Warm and friendly welcome from Martine. Typical French Town House, renovated and impeccably clean. Air con was a godsend in the bedrooms. Lovely little yard area with plenty of shade. I would mention that the staircases are a bit steep but you get used to them. Quiet village - very pretty down by the river with stunning chateau. A smattering of restos and bars. Large Super U a short walk from gite. Perfectly situated for exploring the region, Chinon, Saumur, Angers etc. If needed Martine and Franck are just a text message away. No hesitation in recommending this comfortable gite and friendly, attentive owners.

Off the Beaten Path

This was our first trip to the Loire Valley and we chose this place based on the photos and description of the apartment. What we did not realize is that it's a bit far from many of the places we wanted to see and during the days we were there, which were a Sunday - Tuesday, many restaurants are closed, so not many dining options. We ended up cooking for ourselves one night. The other item not apparent from the pictures and description is that the outdoor area, which is very nice, is not on the same level as the apartment. The patio is on the ground floor, then there is a tight spiral staircase up to the living, dining, and kitchen area. Then another spiral staircase up to the bedrooms. So you just need to be aware of this when it comes to hauling luggage upstairs. The beds and furniture was comfortable. But there were not any bath towels available. We were provided extra hand towels for this reason and the towels are not very thick or soft.

Nous avons passé un excellent sejour au gite Le Flamboyant ! L'accueil était parfait, la maison très propre et fonctionnelle. Attention il s'agît d'une maison de ville sur plusieurs étages, donc avec beaucoup d'escaliers en colimaçon. Il y a beaucoup d'activités à faire dans la région, on ne s'est pas ennuyé !Nous recommandons chaleureusement ce lieu pour de belles vacances !

Toutes commodités et Bel accueil

La maison est fonctionnelle avec 3 belles chambres et 2 salles de bain au 2eme. Il ne manque rien et notre hôte a été très réactive et à l'écoute de nos demandes.

Een ruim en goed verzorgd huis. Aan werkelijk alles is gedacht. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. Leuk dorp om in te verblijven, en perfecte plek als uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes in de regio.

Excellent séjour à Montreuil-Bellay

Appartement très agréable et parfaitement équipé où nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par les propriétaires et où nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. La localisation est optimale et permet de découvrir la jolie ville de Montreuil-Bellay et de rayonner dans les environs (Saumur, Montsoreau, Doué...).

Agréable week-end

Pour notre week-end de Noël avec nos enfants, ce gîte était parfait. Décoration très soignée et accueil chaleureux, la proximité des commerces permet de ne pas utiliser la voiture et de vraiment profiter du week-end. Nous reviendrons au beau temps.

Charming place

We had a great experience in the lovely town of Montreuil-Bellay. The gîte has all amenities and is full of charm. It’a tastefully decorated and our hosts were very welcoming. I highly recommend the place .

Franc was most helpful and accommodating, the apartment is right in the middle of this delightful town. I would highly recommend it.
