Welcome to Sooke! Our suite is perfectly located to explore the rugged west coast - world renowned for hiking, beaches, surfing and more. Sooke is only 40 minutes from Victoria. We are conveniently located in the town centre area on a quiet street within a short walk to the Boardwalk and Rotary Pier, shops, restaurants, cafés, brewery, yoga studio, Sooke Community Centre and more. Free on street parking is always available. Enjoy views of the Straight of Juan de Fuca and Whiffin Spit, with the Olympic Mountains in the distance. We are within walking distance to restaurants, stores as well as a local craft brewery.

This ground level suite is self contained, with a separate entrance within our primary residence. The suite is nicely decorated and inviting, and provides all the comforts you will need, including wifi and in-suite laundry.

The Ocean view suite was Awesome ! The full kitchen was clean & large and had everything needed for a Wonderful stay. The King sized bed was very comfy. It was also nice having a wisher/dryer ... saved bringing too many clothes. Bob was a pleasure to deal with ... looking forward to our next stay !!!

Excellent boardwalk by the ocean and the central business district for Sooke is a 5 minute walk … for all amenities!!!…. The hosts are 11 out of 10 just like their property!!!

Super gemütliche, saubere und grosszügige Ferienwohnung.Man hat sich wie zu Hause gefühlt und jeden Abend aufs Zurückkommen gefreut.Die Lage ist perfekt, nah am Wasser, und der umwerfende Gastgeber hat uns mit vielen Tips für hervorragende Ausflüge versorgt. Wir haben sehr bedauert, dass wir in dieser grandiosen Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise nur 3 Tage bleiben konnten.

Host met us as we arrived. He was extremely nice and walked us through the property and then asked what we wanted to do and see in the area. He then gave us a very good summary of things to do and places to eat. The property was very well maintained and very nice. Bed was super comfortable. Very spacious place near the ocean. Highly recommend this property.

Very well kept, compact unit with thoughtful design and inside amenities. Great communication with the host, Bob, who is a member of the historical society and who gave us good tips and recommendations on local sites and beaches of interest. Proximity to these areas as well as convenient shops and restaurants is also very good. The only thing that would give this a perfect score is if it were right on the water. Otherwise, it is still close to the nearby boardwalk on the waterfront and other nature trails that can be easily accessed by walking or driving.

There's a reason this place has such superlative reviews - it is an absolute gem. The accommodation, layout, cleanliness, comfort,and location are all first-rate, plus a secure place to store bicycles! But the real reason it's special is the host. Bob is the essence of generosity who went above and beyond in so many ways. We also benefitted from the kindness of his daughter who clearly shares Bob's generous spirit. We were able to bike to the Sooke Potholes, walk to restaurants, and kayak in the Basin, with advice and assistance from our hosts that ensureed our stay was memorable and magical. If we return to Sooke i can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you so much Bob, Caroline, and Katie!

An Unforgettable Sooke Escape – Pure Perfection!My recent VRBO stay in Sooke, B.C., was nothing short of magical, and truly exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charm and thoughtful touches of this incredible property.The house itself is a pristine oasis—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail has been considered, from the cozy furnishings to the well-appointed spaces. I especially loved sipping coffee on the deck with the stunning ocean views each morning. It truly felt like a home away from home, but with all the added luxuries of a dream vacation.The location in Sooke is simply ideal. I spent my days exploring the breathtaking coastline, hiking the nearby trails, and soaking in the peaceful West Coast atmosphere. Returning to such a welcoming and serene retreat each evening was the perfect end to my adventures.Finally, Bob, the host, was absolutely wonderful—responsive, helpful, and clearly dedicated to ensuring I had the most incredible stay. His recommendations for local dining and activities were spot on and greatly enhanced my trip.I cannot recommend this VRBO in Sooke highly enough. Peaceful Perfection

I was in town for a family wedding at the Prestige so the location was perfect, which was why I selected it. I was met by Bob and his 4 legged welcoming committee. He showed me a few details about the unit and advised me he'd be around if I needed anything. The wedding events didn't allow much time for me to be in the unit which is unfortunate. This space is so beautifully decorated, comfortable and peaceful. The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need (maybe not a blender but I didn't open every cupboard). It was so quiet at night I had the best sleep in ages!! Was able to take time for a walk at Whiffin Spit (10 minute drive away) which was also perfect for the soul. Thanks for a perfect retreat, Bob and Caroline!

Birthday getaway

We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. The suite was immaculate, bright and roomy on a nice and quiet street. It was a pleasure to meet Bob and hear his stories. Unfortunately, Caroline was out-of-town. The location was perfect and close to walking trails. Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, Stylish interior, Good Location

The communication with the hosts in the period between booking and arrival was clear and supportive! Upon arrival we were met by Bob who from the very beginning was very helpfull, informative. The suite is very neat and comfortable. It contains really everything you might need for even a longer stay. Caroll (who was travelling) decorated the place in a modern and stylish way. Bob is an inexhaustable source of information about the location, its environment and 'things' of interest to explore. Unfortunately our stay was too short to explore them all. In short: We highly recommend this Vrbo and its hosts! Thank you Bob & Caroll for making our stay a good start of our holiday on Vancouver Island!!!

You can't beat the location in Sooke! It's newly renovated and it's a very comfortable space to stay. You can walk into Sooke town centre for necessities, a craft brew pub, coffee shops and more. The Boardwalk that goes out into the Sooke basin is a 2 minute walk and Ed Macgregor Park is at the end of the street.

Quiet street, great neighbours, so much within a short walk, and consistently receive compliments on how sparkling clean the suite is. Convenient location and plenty of free parking. In addition, we are usually available to provide local knowledge and interact with our guests as much or as little as they prefer. Our home is your home!

NOTE: Our suite is licensed (Sooke Business License #11458) and inspected by the District of Sooke. Recent BC Government ruling regarding short term rental restrictions do not apply to hosts who live in the principal residence where the suite is situated. Our unit is exempt and you do not need to be concerned for your booking being cancelled. Please feel free to reach out first if you have any questions.

If you are coming for longer than 2 weeks, Bob will work with you to set up some regular maintenance times that are mutually convenient to ensure utilities are well maintained.

We have a friendly Australian Shepherd doggo named Skylar. She greets all of our guests and will be your best friend if you throw the frisbee for her!
