Taking it easy is the theme of this cozy efficiency located in Miramar Beach. This adorable rental is located within the Surfside Resort and makes it easy to relax and unwind for yourself or just the two of you. Enjoy sipping your morning coffee while sitting out on your private balcony with an incredible view of the Gulf of Mexico. Guests will also enjoy access to a number of on-site amenities including a shared, rooftop pool, hot tubs, tennis, shuffleboard, and more.

What's nearby:
The resort sky bridge makes getting to the beach easy and safe and after a day at the beach. Enjoy dining at The Royal Palm Grill located on-site, or take a short walk to one of several local beachside restaurants. Seafood and other menu items are always available throughout this area. And if you need a little retail therapy, shop at the Silver Sands Outlet Mall, or head into Destin to check out the Destin Commons Mall.

Nice for a couple…beautiful views

Very comfortable setting. Loved having restaurant on site and tiki bar on the beach. Very clean. Needs a little tlc to some of furniture pieces but would definitely stay again

Overall good stay with a few issues

Our stay at Surfside Resort 1401A was overall a good stay. The beach view and access was nice; it was a plus that the beach chairs and umbrella was included at no extra charge (just tipping). Great location for a short drive to restaurants, shopping, and other activities. However, we did have a few issues. Minor issues: no handsoap in the bathroom (there was shampoo and lotion), bathroom sink fills quickly (the drain may need to be cleared), you have to hold the toilet handle a little longer for it to flush completely, there was a hole in the fitted sheet and it was not the right size for the mattress (my husband did say that his back did not hurt for the entire visit), the bedframe is missing a middle post underneath so it sinks near the middle foot of the bed, stained ironing board and it is a small one (the room is big enough for a regular sized ironing board), wobbly dining chair (the screws probably just need tightening). Major issues: barking dog(s) next door; there is a connecting door so we could hear the dog tags rattling and barking very clearly. With a few improvements, 1401A has the potential to be a great rental for repeat visits.

Disappointing

We travel quite a bit and never complain. So for us to complain in means a little more. The unit was small. No dishwasher. One roll of toilet paper. Bed linen was thin. General appearance of the room was “cheap”. There are too any codes to get around no the facility.could not check in early even though the room was done. Staff was rude about it. No place to leave bags if you arrive early. The security was too much. We had noise complaint at 9:00 PM even though we were in the room with music volume low though. The elevators and hallways smelled of marijuanna. Public restrooms were inconvenient. Pool area was not impressive. The food stand at the pool was closed. Even though we purchased a late check out, housekeeping can in the room twice with the first time being at 9:00AM. I would recommend to look at other properties and a stay in the area as it’s beautiful and clean. Great beach!! Just don’t stay at Surfside.

Beach view was great. Everything else was… meh

Those are the only good things I can say about this room in the Surfside condo building. Room 1401A had a great 14th level view. It was difficult to relax while in the room due to the family on the other side of the wall in 1401. Walls are paper thin. The children screamed the entire time we were there (starting at like 6AM!) the mother never made them quiet down or anything. The other children in the condo continuously went in and out of the room and it sounded like they were slamming our door every time they did (back to the thin walls). They were doing Oklahoma football drills in the hallway of the condo… you would think the parents would say something. As for the room itself. It was cozy but tiny. They didn’t mention that it was a studio with 180 sqft at most in the ad on Vacasa though. There was no room for anything but a bed, a dresser, and a small bar table. If you wanted to sit back and relax the bed was the only option. None of the furniture matched (which I really don’t care about but just wanted to point out) and was all from the 1990’s. The bed had clearly been used past it’s prime. Every time you sat on it there was a popping sound that made it seem very unstable. The biggest issue we had with the room was that there were chunks of a black moldy substance blowing out of the AC vent which sat right above the tiny 2 person table. If any of our drinks or food were on the table they ended up full of mold chunks. Staff at the condo claimed the vents had just been cleaned and that it was not mold. We took a bunch of pictures and brought some of the mold home in a sealed container to get tested. It very much looked like black mold but we will see when the results come back. I will try and update this review when I get the results. All in all I enjoyed the beach but the neighbors gave us extreme anxiety with their children that would not shut up. There was absolutely no sleeping in after 6-7 AM due to their offspring screaming and doing other general loud stuff to wake up the whole hallway.

Excellent veiw!

Our room was good, the veiw is excellent overlooking the beach from the 14th floor. The resort itself is looking a bit rundown and tired. The glass doors leading out to the parking garage on the side of the building are absolutely disgusting. Greasy looking and hand/fingerprints all over them. I doubt we would stay here again.

Location location location

The location of the condo is everything. Prefect view of the ocean from your room. Super easy access to the beach. I was pleasantly surprised to find out we had beach service included. This made our beach days so much better. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Stove top, no oven. But we made do. The only complaint I had is the elevators are terribly slow. This, of course, is of no fault of owner or resort. Just something I noticed. Everything else was wonderful and I would stay here again!

Amazing view!

view was awesome, check in/out was no issue, short walk over a nice bridge to the beach. only issue was there is a conjoined room and the door that connects lets in so much noise. we could hear every conversation and tv show the neighboring room had. if you're sensitive to noise while trying to sleep/sleeping, thats something to be aware of, since the listing doesnt mention it.

Great Stay

Our unit was cozy, clean and the perfect amount of space for 2 people. However, we could not get the TV to work. I would also suggest bigger trash cans. Overall our stay was great, the view was incredible!

Great views

The views were amazing. The room was small. Kitchenette was not in great shape. Microwave handle was broken ( I had to use a knife to open it). This was fine for a few days but I cannot imagine staying a week there.
