Our beautiful two bedroom apartment is a perfect place for people to enjoy while visiting all the sites of iconic Wabasha and its surrounding areas. Just 1/2 block from the National Eagle center it makes for a perfect getaway from city life. The space boasts two bedrooms (king and queen sized beds), a kitchen and living room all on the same floor you will have the space and appliances needed to make your visit to Wabasha unforgettable! All appliances, beds (tuft and needle), couches, TV etc are brand new and ready to be enjoyed. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all your cooking needs as well as a coffee machine + french press and griddle for those leisurely mornings in! With two full sized rooms it makes a great location for a romantic weekend away, a great space for friends or a perfect location for a family. The apartment also come equipped with a new smart TV and cable access. You are able to easily eagle watch on the deck, where you a have a great view of the Mississippi River, or from most of the apartment windows.

Since this apartment is located on the top floor, the entrance is on the left of the house up one flight of stairs.

Friends get away

We enjoyed our friends get away here. Great location. Clean, cozy and just what we needed. Beds were comfy. Water pressure in shower was awesome!! We all mentioned that. We would definitely stay here again.

short stay, family reunion

we spent two nights in Wabasha for a family reunion, this location and residence worked great for 4 adults. very clean and private. we would stay again.

Great

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, quiet and safe. The location was just what we wanted. There is no water view, the trees summer leaves are blocking it. Also, the ceilings are quite low (7’), and each room has a ceiling fan. So the property might not be for you if you are tall. Also, if you have any mobility concerns it would be a challenge. It is a second floor unit, the beds are very low to the floor (to accommodate for the low ceilings) and there are some stairs inside the unit that are very easy to trip down.

somewhat disappointing

I can't say we didn't enjoy our stay in the Wabasha area-did a lot of interesting things. However, we have stayed at several VRBO properties & have never been unhappy until now. The unit was clean, comfy, & well stocked but there were some issues that you might want to consider. The stairs leading up to the unit are quite steep and carrying supplies & luggage may not be suitable for senior citizens. It was exhausting to say the least. The "partial river view" is actually no river view due to overgrown tree branches completely blocking any view. The beds, although comfy, are very low & difficult to get out of. It is a very convenient location to explore the area but just beware if you have any physical issues.

Great little getaway!

This apartment was perfect for our family with 2 littles under age 6. The rooms were spacious and accommodations were all as listed. The central location was great for walking around town!

Just right

Was in town visiting family. I stayed here with my sister and her partner. The space was very spacious with two comfortable rooms and a big bathroom. We needed a home base for the weekend and this worked great!

Girls Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Clean, quiet and within walking distance to everything in town. The outdoor steps up to the front door are steep. My friend was a little unsteady carrying luggage up and down the stairs we are seniors. Did not use the deck.

I do not recommend this place, especially for anyone elderly. There’s steep narrow steps up to the apartment with a bare wood railing. When you walk in the air freshener is so overpowering and smells awful…I had to open the windows, or the ones that actually opened to get rid of the smell. The floor is slanted, there’s a few steps going down to one of the bedrooms, and the table and chairs are tight next to the steps, the tv didn’t work the whole time we were there . The beds are practically on the floor and the furniture is actually a futon and chair that look like college dorm furniture from Walmart. The owner laughed that our tv didn’t work and said to go sit outside. There’s a rotted deck out back that is really small and dark. You can not tell that by looking at the pictures the owner posted. We booked for 3 days but left after 1 as this place is a dump.

Delightful experience!

Clean, comfortable, just the right place to stay! We loved being able to walk to the restaurants and bars, and to have close access to the river. The space was so beautifully decorated and we slept so well on the very comfortable mattress! Everything we needed was provided, and just an overall great experience.

So Relaxing with Lots to Do

We came with the idea to do some short day trips and relax late afternoon and evening. The atmosphere was exactly what we needed and the apartment was very clean. You can't miss the National Eagle Center, it's a half a block away. We also took time to do a couple of short day trips to the International Owl Center in Houston, Minnesota and Zollman Zoo at Oxbow Park. It was well worth the time and money.

Safety issues

They said you needed to be able to do steps but steps very un safe. Very narrow and steep. Also no outside lights so you could even see to go up the steps or unlock the door at dark. No inside light at the entry. The handrail on the steps very old and hard to grip. We each got slivers from it. The location was excellent for what we wanted to do it was just the safety issues we had. I’m very surprised no one has fallen and that would be awful for your renters and you. I sure hope you repair all these issues before you rent it again

Downtown Apartment

The apartment was on 2nd floor of a house. I had the bedroom on the street side and there was no street noise. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean. I think the apartment would be extremely hot in the summer time. Even though we were told the AC was set at 68 and we ran the window unit, it was still a bit warm during the middle of the day. We opened windows at night and having autumn temperatures it was fine. There is currently no view from the back deck because the tree has overgrown over into that area. That was a real shame. There is a view of the river from the kitchen window. We had planned to drink our coffee in the mornings and have cocktails at night on the deck. But overall, it was comfortable and nice location.

Best VRBO Location Yet

I’ve enjoyed many VRBOs in many US cities and I have to say that this one has the best location. We could walk everywhere—food, beach, activities (hello, Eagle Center!), yet it was never loud or congested. We absolutely loved our host and Wabasha. This rental makes a great homebase for WI and MN excursions. We will be back.

Hello! I am an American married to a South African born Englishman, we met in Greece and now live in Minnesota! We love to travel, spend time with family and friends, and well really just love being together!

We are blessed with two little babes that keep us busy at all hours of the day. Since we are an international family we have learned how to perfect travel with two kids under 3 and *usually* enjoy it :)

When precious alone time becomes available we try to fill it with a good book, a cup of tea, and the sound track of "The Greatest Showman" on repeat. We love exploring, GOOD food and prefer cook it rather than pay for it. We are looking forward to the days when we can family road trip and Airbnb/camp our way around the USA.

My mom and her entire family were raised and most still live in Wabasha. Growing up visiting my grandparents frequently it made the choice to buy a property in town easy! We love sneaking away for adult weekends away or taking the whole tribe to enjoy all of Wabasha and the surrounding areas. Our favorite thing to do while in town is to visit my Grandma who turns 90 this year!
