Another great and relaxing trip with Appaloosa cottage #2! Cabin was clean and comfortable. We made tacos for dinner one night and a pork loin on another. Slept well and on our last night watched a thunderstorm pass through. Will be back in the fall! Thanks!

We have stayed at this cabin five times, and each visit has been wonderful. The cabin is always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding area, and it truly feels like a home away from home. We continue to come back because of the consistent quality and great experience every time. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway, and we look forward to returning again!

My sister and I have stayed here 5 years in a row. It is our mountain getaway from stress and worry. It's a simple cabin, the way a cabin should be. Already thinking about next year.Clint is super easy to communicate with.

This is a very clean cabin convenient to downtown Cherokee. Being right on the river, the view is wonderful and there’s a nice path along the river for fishing. It’s a much better value than a hotel room!

Unfortunately, there is much to list. Listed path to river was overgrown with poison ivy. Outdoor chairs and wood picnic table, near fire pit, were unusable due to age and rot. Cabin was dark and dank. No screens on doors; so you can’t leave door open to hear river and bring sunlight in. Towels had to be returned due to smell. Ash tray full of cigarette butts left on patio….. on the positive, host did replace towels, outdoor chairs and empty the ash tray when we told him. TVs were good, water pressures good, comfortable bed.

We are sorry you didn’t enjoy our little cabin as much. We are always trying to improve everyone’s experience here at Appaloosa. A screen door on the front of the cabin is a fabulous idea and we will be installing one soon as well as replacing the picnic table outside. There is a paved road you can drive down to the river if you find the trail to steep. Sometimes the cleaners will overlook things as they will be in a rush, but I am more than glad to resolve any issue anyone has. Thanks Clint

This is our home away from home! Clint always makes sure his guests are taken care of and that everything is great, and it always is! We’ve been staying here for years now and it feels like coming home, we won’t stay anywhere else!

We had a wonderful time and our lil dog, Chifa loved laying on the porch with us while we enjoyed a beautiful view of the river and mountains. So relaxing ! So cozy and just absolutely perfect! Highly recommend! We will back ! This place is a gem !

Wonderful little cabin. We loved the walk down to the river, a very peaceful place. The host were so prompt and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay again.
