Another wonderful trip to Maggie Valley!. Rebecca is a wonder host! I thoroughly enjoyed the closed off front porch for my dogs. We enjoyed breakfast on the porch most mornings.

Cute A frame chalet in the mountains. Good location up the mountain from Maggie valley. The area was quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately the weather was very stormy due to Isaias, but the cabin owner suggested Sunburst falls over by Lake Logan for a drive. The waterfall was really roaring and rushing with all the rain. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and the owner was friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of space for my dog to be able to potty comfortably with the green space around the cabin..

The property was surrounded by condemned Chalets. There were several dogs and cats hanging out around the Chalet. The Chalet needs some serious updating. The beds and pillows were not the most comfortable. The plus was that the chalet was close to downtown Maggie Valley and a short distance to Cherokee and Bryson City. It was well equipped with appliance, dishes, cooking utensils, spices, coffee and cream.

There are other cabins in the area. We have had some neighbors in the area move out which is not uncommon in the mountains. We ateive to keep our cabin updated. The linensxate good quality, beds and pillows are comfortable. We even provide extra pillows for guests. Thank you. We will definitely look into your concerns. As you can tell from our reviews, most guests are pleased and many mention they are return visits. I have only seen one cat and he belongs to a woman who lives down the lane and across a stream from us. He does wander around at times. I hope your stay was relaxing. We strive to provide a relaxing teyreat for our guests.

The chalet was exactly as pictured. Well stocked and clean. The host was prompt in responding to questions. We had several showers and the outside furniture kept getting wet., which was a little bit of a downer. There is no cover to porch to protect the furniture or shade from the sun. The area across the street with picnic table and chairs was greatly appreciated since not much of a yard or porch. Perfect for a quick get away for us and our friends.

Thank you for being our guests. Our front deck is not covered but the side porch is which makes coming in and out convenient during rainy weather. Having a front deck, a side porch and an area out front with rockers and a Picnic table provides a lot of places to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. It was okay. Flooring and bathrooms need to be updated. We are an older couple and had trouble in the main bath off of the kitchen. Main floor bed needs new mattress and boxspring. We could not do the steep stairs to access the other bedroom. Did not realize the chalet was one of a row of them of which two were condemned. Disappointed.

I am sorry you had concerns The mattress in the downstairs bedroom was bought just a few months ago. We have very few complaints. We have a bedroom upstairs but that is listed on the property description. The downstairs bedroom has a half bath and there is also a full bathroom downstairs. We strive to provide a fun and relaxing stay.

Easy check in, clean. We did try to watch a little tv, but the tv in the living room needs to have the color adjusted because it had too much red so we turned it off. This was a perfect overnight stay.

We had to replace a pump. This is a very rare o cranberry but could not be helped. We talked with you and kept you informed. Thank you for being our guest. We have booked our chalet for years. We have many return guests. Please keep is in mind for future plans.

Thank you for the great review. We feel our vacation cabin, our chalet, is in a great location for skiers who want to glide through Winter on the slopes of Cataloochee Ski Resort. It is also a great escape for those who prefer to snuggle down and relax in a mountain retreat, occasionally venturing outside to explore the beautiful mountainsides of Maggie.
