Hurricane Dorian wrecked havoc on our beautiful island on September 1, 2019. We have been working hard ever since to restore/rebuild our property and are fully operational again. We look forward to welcoming you back to Seagull Cottages.

The 3 bedroom/2bath home, known as Gully's Ridge can accommodate up to 7 people. If you have a larger crowd, rent the 2 bedroom/2bath home with a sleeping nook/1/2 bath on the adjacent property, known as Gully's Nest, which can accommodate up to 7 people. Ideal for families, couples or fishing fanatics. We offer the Best of the Abacos - luxurious fully furnished rental homes with private docks on an inlet in the Hope Town Harbour. The main access to the property is by boat, although there is a foot/bicycle path to the property. We are close enough to town for all the conveniences the settlement has to offer, including restaurants, grocery stores, and gift shops, but yet we are far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and private setting. Head out in a rental boat to explore neighboring islands, walk a pristine beach, snorkel our spectacular reefs, visit the historical lighthouse and museum or take a tour charter with the Legendary Bahamian, Cap'n Robert Lowe or his wife, Karen to go island hopping and see the wildlife. Relax at the end of the day in the comfort of the air conditioned home, in a hammock on the screened porch or dock, or stroll around the gardens and orchard. The homes are immaculate and we pride ourselves on the personal attention given to make your dream vacation extra special. Come enjoy the islands with your extended family or group of friends in one private setting. It is nice to be able to travel together, but great to be able to retire to your own space if desired. Come on down to see us! We are sure you won't want to leave!

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful home in Hope Town/Elbow Cay, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We traveled here in December for my son’s wedding proposal and the Songwriters concert, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Karen and Rob, made us feel completely at home. They were so welcoming, kind, and accommodating—and their sweet dog was an added bonus! You could tell they genuinely cared about making our stay perfect.The house was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. And if there was anything we didn’t have, Karen and Rob were right there to help—no questions asked.The location, the atmosphere, and the hospitality all came together to create such a special and meaningful trip for our family. We made memories here that we will cherish forever.We are so grateful for this experience and highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing, welcoming, and truly special stay in Hope Town. Family vacation

Our host Robert and Karen and Rollie were wonderful met us at their dock helped us to unload were available anytime we needed them and helped us to load boat when we left houses were immaculately clean highly recommend this for a visit

A week at Seagull Cottages

We loved the cottages. Very private with no access by road, but with the provided dinghies all of Hope Town is easily accessed.Karen and Robert are always nearby but never intrusive. Karen met us at the dock with a golf cart to help move all of our baggage and food to the house. Robert brought us a bunch of bananas, grown on the property, sweetest bananas we've ever eaten. Pool is a great break on the way home from the beach. We came over in a 38' Cruiser and were able to park right out back. At night, you can sit outside and hear the waves of the nearby ocean. Experience true Bahamas living! We will be back!

Family Spring Break

We had an amazing time at Gully’s Ridge. The location is awesome. The owners, Karen and Robert, are extremely friendly and helpful. The house is well stocked, clean and comfortable. And we loved the sweet dog on the property, Rolly. We will definitely be back!

Quiet spot !

Really great spot in Hopetown! The location is ideal but you do have to take a dinghy across a small bay. The house is great and has everything you need. You can take the host’s dinghy into town and get dinner (how cool, right ?!) or just use it to cross the small bay to get to the mainland/your golf cart. Karen was super helpful with any recommendations or issues we had. Great value too! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. PS (and best part) you get to meet the host’s chocolate lab Roley!

Karen and Robert are wonderful hosts. Friendly, helpful and fun. Houses are in a great location. Dock held a 26’ center console no problem. Dinghys made it easy to get into Hopetown. Hope to return again!

A Slice of Heaven

This property was clean, nice, new and in a great quiet location. But the best thing about it is the owners who live on the property. They were the most helpful and accommodating folks you could ever ask to meet. They helped us with a boat issue, ferried some folks around and were a joy to spend time with. Robert is a professional fisherman and knows the area exceedingly well. They gave us some insight on places to go and things to do. I really cannot say enough about Karen and Robert. It was like going on vacation and having family there at every step.

Family vacation

Such a lovely spot. The hosts help you with anything you need but you also feel like you have privacy. A clean, comfortable space! Highly recommend for families.

Hope Town oasis

Our group had a wonderful time in Hope Town. Karen & Robert were excellent hosts. I loved how personable & accomodating Karen was. The homes were perfect & so clean. Each house was provided with a small dinghy which we used to go to dinner & was extremely convenient. The pool was a nice touch after all day on the boat. Karen communicated so well with us before, during & even after we crossed back over to Fl. on our boat. My husband & I really enjoyed hearing the stories about their life in the Bahamas & how they recovered from the hurricane. Wow...tough people! I highly recommend checking out this home. We cannot wait to return!

Hopetown Bungalow

A very pleasant home located in the heart of Hopetown, Abacos. Located across from Hopetown Inn and Marina. A short boat ride to Tahiti Beach, Firefly, and Abaco Inn. Owners were pleasant to work with. Also, rented a boat from Barefoot Boat Rentals and golf carts from Getaway Golf Carts. The island has recovered nicely from Hurricane Dorian and has a fresh new look!

Great property for boaters who want seclusion with good docking and a cleaning station. A rental golf cart would have given better access to the island. Great place and great hosts.

Hopetown stay

Amazing Property and Hosts

This property is absolutely amazing. Karen and Robert are wonderful people, hosts and fabulous communicators. The layout of the house is absolutely perfect with a main room that has the kitchen, dining room and living room all together. This made it so everyone could be together while meals were prepared and eaten. The screened in porch is so large and perfect for listening to the ocean, relaxing or even eating a meal. The bedrooms are ample size and the beds are so comfortable. The closets and drawers are perfect for storing clothes and it was so nice to have ample hangers in the closet. The sunrise view from the dock and the screened in porch is breathtaking and well worth the early rise. The dinghy was perfect for getting across the canal. I would not change a thing other than I wish the fruit would have been ready for picking. I highly recommend you stay at this property! We will definitely be back!

Great place for a family

The house is really well located with deep water access , we had no problem docking our 32 ft boat. Everything was clean and in good operating order, the AC is really cold. Karen was extremely helpful and did everything to make our stay even better. We had an 8 months old with us, some of us flew in , other cross by boat from Florida and Karen’s communication and pertinent information made it very easy for all of to travel to Hope Town. We’ll come back.

This is a must do experience!

We loved this place! Karen and Robert were perfect hosts! They were there to pick us up as we got off the ferry and helped us every step of the way during our stay. We enjoyed using the dingy to travel into town, and eating the fish we caught while we were out with Robert. The house was clean and well decorated. Our only regret was not staying longer!

We are a unique couple, my husband, a native Bahamian and I am a SC transplant who visited the islands many years ago and fell in love with them. Eventually I met my soul mate, an islander, who is also known as one of the best fishermen around and I was lucky enough to catch and marry him. Together we've raised 2 fine sons and built our rentals homes on a secluded piece of land, close to the Hope Town settlement. This special piece of paradise is a hidden treasure in the beautiful Abaco islands and we are proud to share it with you.

We are close to the Hope Town settlement, so it is convenient to get to any necessities, but yet, we are far enough away to get away from the noise of the settlement and for you to feel like you are in your own peaceful and private sanctuary. Elbow Cay/Hope Town is also centrally located in the middle of the Abaco chain of islands, so you can easily take a day and go north to explore and then head south the following day to see all the beauty these islands have to offer.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We are in protected waters of the Hope Town harbour, so there is safe dockage for your boat or a rental boat. We are unique in that we offer a little more adventure than most of the rental homes on the island. Anyone can rent in the settlement and walk out their door to the store, but why not add a little adventure in your life and a story to tell your friends of how you got into a small boat and went thru the harbour to go shopping. Not only that, but you ate fresh fruit from the gardens/orchard of the vacation rental home where you stayed. That's not something everyone can talk about when they return from their vacation so come and enjoy a new adventure of our blended Southern hospitality....Bahamian style.
