Overall the property was amazing and exceptionally clean. Our group had a fantastic time and loved that we pretty much had a private beach. The water pressure in the showers could be better but the outdoor shower was a nice option. I’d definitely recommend!

The house was beautiful with a great view and direct access to a secluded private beach. Very conveniently located in the settlement of Hopetown. Chuck the host was great to work with and checked in often to made sure our stay was excellent. We will be back!

Th host was very communicative and provided a lot of great travel info about the area. The house was a perfect Bahamian retreat! It is in a great location and was very well stocked. We had close access to the settlement and fun golf cart rides to the other side of the island. Hope Chest is a treasure!

Great communication from Chuck. Caretaker was excellent. Loved the beautiful home. Enjoyed evenings on the back porch listening to the waves with family.

Perfection

Just had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful, comfortable home! Perfectly situated close to town but with privacy and breathtaking ocean views. We loved having direct beach access, enjoying dinners on the porch, and stargazing from the deck under the clear night sky. The host was great, sharing local knowledge and making the entire stay seamless. From check-in to check-out, everything was easy and stress-free. It was truly a memorable getaway, and we can’t wait to return!

perfect week

Our stay at Hopechest 2.0 was fantastic! The house was very clean and exactly as advertised. We had a beautiful beach view from the house and deck, and it was very easy to get to the beach to swim. The house is walking distance to the grocery and a few good restaurants. The house was very new and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were two families traveling together, and it worked perfectly. The owner and the caretakers were all attentive and very helpful with any questions we had. I would definitely stay here again!

Hope Chest 2.0

Excellent location with access to Hope Town Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful beach to swim and snorkel with private stairs from property. Boat access is a short walk down to town to the public dock or you could rent a dock. Once you’re on your boat there is so much to explore! Don’t worry the owner will provide the scoop on all the things to do. Golf cart not necessary but if you want to explore south end of island thoroughly probably best, we just went by boat instead. The house is beautiful and just steps out of the settlement so you will feel like you are on your own island. It has everything you need. Clean comfortable and relaxing. Couldn’t have had a better time. Hope to be back soon!

Perfect for our family group with kids!

From the moment you arrive at Hope Chest you are greeted with unobstructed views of the Atlantic. Accessible yet secluded this house is the perfect balance for those seeking both relaxation and activities. The house was impeccably clean, the efficient floor plan has spacious communal areas with private retreats, making it ideal for large family groups with children like ours. We put all the kids in the spacious upstairs, but the upstairs would be a great space for adults too. The highlight of Hope Chest for us were the outdoor spaces with the expansive covered deck off the house and additional seating area perched over the ocean with views of the Atlantic from all spaces. The host was incredibly helpful and communicative, promptly answering all inquiries and ensuring a smooth arrival. Throughout our stay, they remained attentive, offering recommendations for local attractions. Be sure to rent a golf cart to explore the island and get to restaurants. We found that keeping our boat at the nearby Post Office dock worked well. Well done, Hope Chest - we will definitely return.

Amazing Stay at Hope Chest in Hope Town!

We recently stayed at the Hope Chest in Hope Town, and our experience was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we booked, Chuck, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure our trip was seamless and enjoyable. He was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation to and from the airport, handling our luggage, and even connecting us with local companies to rent a golf cart, boat, and dock space. Although we were initially concerned about the weather affecting our plans, it ended up turning in our favor, allowing us to proceed as scheduled. Chuck was very understanding and willing to work with us had we needed to make changes, which gave us peace of mind. His local staff is just as wonderful—always available, super helpful, and easy to reach whenever we needed anything. One of the best parts about Hope Chest is its fantastic location. It’s so close to downtown that we didn’t even need to use the golf cart—we just strolled down the charming little street past the schoolhouse to get wherever we needed to go. It was a truly great experience. The Hope Chest is a beautiful property, and our stay here made our vacation unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

Incredible property. The host and care taker are excellent and communicate as well as any we have experienced in the past. The house has everything you need and the beach/views are second to none. We will be back.

Our stay at Hope Chest was truly amazing. Seven family members stayed and slept very comfortably…to the sound of the ocean. We cooked every night in the well equipped kitchen and all ate together on the large table out on the open front patio. The beach front location is out of this world, we snorkeled and swam every day. The owner Chuck and the caretaker were gracious hosts. I could go on and on…:).
