Beautiful property with Sandy beach. Pat was a great host. Place is a bit older but that adds to the charm. North Fork is a great place to visit. We will be back !!!

We had a great time at the beach! The communication was easy, the house was as advertised with wonderful views and lots of privacy and quiet, and we were easy walking distance into the village of Greenport.

The Gate house is a charming little house, on a beautiful piece of property. The house was spotless, and very well equipped. Pat the host greeted us within minutes of us arriving. He was very pleasant and made himself available. We will defiantly be returning and referring the property to friends and family.

The property setting is beautiful And close to downtown. The cottage is charming although a bit outdated and was a great place for our stay since it was close to the wedding venue. Communicating with Robert via text was easy and he was delightfully responsive. We did not however meet him in person. One item that was not mentioned specifically in the listing was that the bathroom is located off the kitchen downstairs from the bedrooms which was a slight inconvenience for those of us who get up in the middle of the night.

The house sells itself, but Robert greeting us as we walked the dogs to the beach was very nice. We chatted a bit and he made sure we understood the rules of the rental and the rest of our stay was great. We drove from DC to attend my nephew’s wedding at nearby Sound View, so the location was excellent.The house had everything we needed: quiet, comfort and simple. We will gladly stay here again and may look into renting the larger house on the property if our group contains more than four people.So great that Robert welcomes dogs. Our dogs and humans loved the beach. The rooms were clean with great views. Washer and Dryer are fairly new and worked great. We loved the bagels and sandwiches at Goldberg’s Bagels.Maybe next time we will have time to share a beer or coffee with Robert on the patio.

The property is beautiful and so peaceful! Pat was a pleasure to work with . You can tell he loves his property and its rich history. The Gate House while humble was spotless and had everything we needed. The outdoor sitting area with the grill also had everything we needed and a spectacular view! Where else are you going to get a private beach , right down the street from downtown Greenport! We are looking forward to going back.

Very nice relaxing place to stay in an old style rustic farmhouse property. Beautiful ocean views, fire pit, boat access, but close to town and train accessible (15-20 walk to LIRR and village). Host was very friendly and helpful.

The house had a lot of charm, was very clean. I liked that Patrick was on the property if we needed anything. I also loved the history the property held. Patrick was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Pat was the perfect host and our time on Long Island wouldn't have been complete with our stay at Cherry Lane Farms! From phenomenal local recommendations to the most amazing private beach, I can't recommend this spot more! It was perfect for our family and young child to rest, explore, and have the perfect getaway!

Ideal place for us. Private beach that allowed our dog. Tranquility and beautiful scenery yet still could walk into town. Communication with host was great. Quick to respond to questions. We will be back!

This was a great spot for a weekend getaway. The cottage was clean, Pat was very helpful (and friendly when we got the chance to meet him in person). The beach access was great and an easy location to get into town or to surrounding areas. We hope to stay again!

This is a lovely, small property, comfy beds, full kitchen, dining room, living room, outdoor patio with a grill and a stones throw from the beach and the bay. Convenient to town and good restaurants. Clean, well tended, and the host couldn’t have been more welcoming and easy to reach. My wife and I were looking for a solitary getaway for a weekend and got just what we had hoped for.

My husband and I stayed in Pat's beach house for a long weekend of wine tasting and exploring. This property is water front with well maintained, clean historic buildings. We love Greenport and visit every year, so we were excited to find a place in walking distance to town but off the beaten path and on the water! The owner Pat is a wonderful host. He is quite the historian and is happy to share stories of his wonderful property and the town. The little house we rented sleeps 4, there's is another house that also sleeps 4, and the main house sleeps 10, should you have a large group. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend!

The house is spacious, nicely furnished and charming with views as well as access to the water with a nice outdoor table, chairs and an umbrella for sitting outside. Our host Patrick was extremely responsive and a delight to meet.Although it did not present an issue for us; there is only one bathroom on the main floor with the bedrooms upstairs. Not surprising for an older home but helpful to know.One of the most appealing features is the quiet; the house is located on a farm at the end of a road and you neither hear nor see neighbors. It was an ideal location from which to explore the lovely town of Greenport.
