Bob's on the Bayou is a great camp on Bayou Manchac close to the Amite River in Prairieville. You can put your boat in at Fred's about 2 miles down Highway 42. Bob's has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed each room) and 1 bath with a large living area.
With Bayou Manchac right off your private deck you can enjoy kayaking, skiing, lots of watersports or just hang out and watch the sunset.

Bob's is just 5.5 miles down Highway 42 from Airline Highway in Prairieville.

What an amazing time

One of my best VRBO experiences! The hosts are lovely. The property is close to everything you need but had a remote feel, which is what I was looking for. Fishing off the dock was bountiful. I had family over for crawfish boils and there was plenty of room for everyone. I highly recommend this property and would definitely book another stay.

Great country/town locale

Great secluded spot, yet very close to town with great shopping and dining options within minutes. Enjoyed sitting on deck and listening to birds and watching fish jump in bayou. QUIET wooded neighborhood with water on both sides. Lili pads are beautiful. Unit was clean and fully equipped. Great Time. Will rent again.

Just what we needed!

We had such a wonderful time Relaxing and Enjoying the peace and quiet here at This beautiful Bayou home! We spent our morning enjoying good coffee on the deck overlooking the water We barbecued yummy local shrimp on the grill and we spent many hours fishing on the fishing dock. We caught some good sized fish! We took an evening sunset, walk and spotted lots of gators in the swamp across the street! It was exactly the experience we was looking for the perfect Louisiana Bayou house! The owner of the home lovely! She gave me several recommendations on yummy places to eat and local Attractions! We will definitely be back!

Awesome Place

Great space and great stay. Clean and easy to get to all the places that have brought you to this area. I must mention. That I do not like hotels and live in the rural area of Arkansas, so we do not like being on the beaten path, just close. Love this place and will book it next year around this time.

3 week getaway

This place is wonderful. It’s so peaceful on the bayou and just what my soul needed. The host were super ,they went out of their way to make our stay great. The house was clean and super comfy. I would definitely stay here again. We loved every single minute of our time there. Susan and Therese are so nice and are right there for whatever you need , we have stayed at many vrbo’s and they have been our favorite host so far. Love this place and already looking forward to returning!

A new addition to the family

We we’re staying in Louisiana as the newest addition to our family was being born in Baton Rouge. The home was exactly what we needed the the hosts were very accommodating. They even gave us a children’s book as a gift the the new little one!

Perfect Getaway

We had the best visit. We came into town to visit family and attend a graduation party for our Godson. The property was perfect, just as described. The owners are very sweet, and great communication. I literally don’t have one complaint. We will definitely be back to stay at BOB’s again.

Just what we were looking for !! Great location close to anything you need ..Made contact with a couple neighbors and they were all super nice !! My 2 year daughter thoroughly enjoyed it as well .. we will definitely rent again !!

Long Weekend Runaway

Quick and relaxing stay on the Bayou! Camp interior had all the comforts of home and so welcoming! Just a short trip to antique shopping in Denham Springs and restaurants in Prairieville.

The Hosts were very friendly and very attentive to our needs . The site was fantastic.

The VRBO was accurate and very easy to work through from the beginning to the end of the rental process. The photos shown on the website were an exact representation of the actual rental. Overall extremely pleased with the VRBO experience.

Bayou anniversary get away

We celebrated our 11 year anniversary at the rustic home on the Bayou. Only a few things to mention. The home was apeaceful and quiet Bayou escape. I would like to mention that the only area of dislike was that the couches were worn out and very uncomfortable and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable as well. But other than that a lovely stay with family.

AMAZING and helpful owners along with lovely scenery

This Air BnB was just perfect for my family. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay great. The view is amazing and every little thing in the house was just perfect. They even had a smaller Christmas tree up and cute decorations. The treats were a bonus as well! A++++

Halloween weekend getaway

Was more than I expected when walking in. Was very pleased with the accommodations and the welcome gifts. The views were awesome to walk out to on the deck. If I say the only that is missing is a little dock to fish from. Other than that it was perfect. Definitely will book again in the future

Absolutely beautiful!

The property was everything we could have wanted. It had a great view of the Bayou Manchac, all the amenities, comfortable beds, accommodating hosts. The place was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked and maintained. We had a wonderful time and will definitely try to book this again if we come back for another LSU game.

Another Great Stay at Bob's

My wife and I stayed here with another couple earlier this year and liked it so much that we came back, alone this time. It's a bit out of the way, but in Baton Rouge that's what we are looking for. It's so quiet and peaceful, and coffee on the deck in the mornings was great, with only the sounds of nature to listen to. The seating and beds are so comfy, and there are many nice little touches throughout that make staying there a pleasure. We will surely be back again when we visit the area.
