Property right in the centre of the historic city of Birgu. It was stunning, characterful and close to everything. An amazing location a few minutes from bus and ferry transport from Valltta. Would highly reccommend!

Beautiful property with a spectacular rooftop pool and terrace. The view was so peaceful. Richard, the owner and Julian, our contact on location were quick to respond to all of our needs and questions. The location was clean, quiet and wonderful located next to a square with many restaurants, cafes and shops. 3 minute walk to the water taxi to Valletta. Our holiday exceeded our expectations. We spent days visits the sites and going to the water. We felt like real locals sitting in “our” cafe enjoying an espresso and watching a tour guide walk by with tourists.

The location was perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle of Valletta. Great local amenities in Birgu. Valletta a short boat ride away. The accommodation itself was eclectic and interesting a lovely place to stay.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying in the VRBO! It’s a beautiful place to stay and you can tell that a lot of care was put into it.

Staying here was the highlight of our 4 week trip to UK and Malta. It’s a traditional Maltese house in an historic area with a roof top pool which we used every day. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants and easy ferry travel to Valletta. We were happy we stayed in Birgu as Valletta was heaving with visitors. Would definitely come back again.

Lovely location in a historic area. Pool came in really handy during the mjni-heatwave and the kids loved it. Newly installed AC was also a lifesaver.

A beautiful home in a beautiful neighbourhood. So picturesque, interesting and yet very well connected. I advise anyone thinking of going to Malta to stay here in this well appointed property.

Homely character

Full of character, ideal for relaxing home from home. Well suited for a group of friends. Excellent location, close to sights, bars, and restaurants. Short walk to ferry. Roif top proved a perfect position for viewing the firework festival, what a bonus.

Perfect Malta Experience

Richard’s home was so much more than we could have hoped for, the location amazing with cobblestone lanes, local restaurants, local shops and views over the whole of the 3 cities 😎 The home boasted and varied collection of antiques and collectibles, the pool perfect to come to and the beds super comfy. Would recommend to anyone wanting an authentic local experience 👏

Girls trip.

What an amazing property! Couldn't really fault it. Our party,3 generations were all overwhelmed by it. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully we will be able to come back soon back before too long

Birgu was an ideal location. I was originally concerned that not being in Valletta itself would be a little limiting but I quickly appreciated the more quiet historic charm of Birgu. It is not hard to take the ferry or grab an Uber to explore Valletta and there are plenty of restaurants in Birgu and the three cities to enjoy. The house is a bit quirky but was ideal for our family of five with each of our kids having their own room and bathroom. We did not rent a car - we arranged for a car and driver from Edmonds Garage to take us around the island site seeing for two days and I was glad not to have to drive and worry about parking, it was a far less stressful way to go about touring. We enjoyed learning about Malta.

Great Location / Lovely House

It is a great location and awesome for walking and exploring. It's a lovely house, but if you come in the winter, the pool is not heated, so it is useless. The only thing was that the main square nearby was under construction when we stayed, which created a lot of noise and made it hard to get Uber / Lyft to pick you up.

Fabulous house

Absolutely stunning place to stay. The care taken to make it feel homely with beautiful decor and everything you could possibly want for a perfect stay is second to none. We had three generations in our group and everybody was happy. Birgu is lovely for wandering and plenty of great places to eat and drink really close by. Communication from a Richard could not be better. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Birgu

We were a group of six friends and had a wonderful week in Birgu. It was delightful staying in the pallazzetto which was in the old quarter of the city. There was plenty of room for all of us and we enjoyed many evenings sitting on the roof terrace. We had a memorable holiday in Malta.
