Perfect for a family getaway or reunion trip for a group of friends, this 2200 square foot farmhouse is situated on 100 wooded acres which is also home to a working maple syrup operation. It can sleep up to 11 guests in beds plus one on the pullout, and more if using the couch and/or an air mattress. Fully equipped kitchen (all new appliances) as well as washer/dryer.

There are several yard games available for some fun without leaving the property including corn hole, volleyball, giant jenga, can jam, disc golf, soccer, and more. Enjoy the fire pit (one free wheelbarrow of wood included, extra available) for some good old-fashioned country night-life. Take a walk through the woods on several miles of cleared trails and say hi to all of the farm animals (2 cows and several free range birds - peacocks, turkeys, chickens, guineas, ducks). Please ask for a free tour of the maple syrup operation!

Pet Policy - Contact us if you are interested in bringing a pet. We're obviously animal people and would love to host your pet if it makes sense. Unfortunately we've had issues in the past and have put in place these rules to make sure this option stays available in the future.
- $25 per pet non-refundable fee paid before checkin. Damage deposit is included with regular booking deposit

Nova maple farm

This was a great big old farm house on a maple syrup farm. We had a tour of the business from the owner. So informative. We stayed 3 nights over new years and booked again for next year..

Our Family Loves the Nova Maple Syrup Farmhouse

We are happy that we got to pay a return visit to this wonderful location. The house is big and roomy and comfortable and very clean and it has everything you need for a nice family or a group getaway. 8 family members stayed here and one more joined us for a wonderful Thanksgiving. We enjoyed walking in the woods,sitting around the campfire, playing games around the big dining room table, watching Christmas movies on the DVD player and my granddaughters favorite, sampling the maple sugar, candy! Would definitely love to return!!

Quiet getaway at the farmhouse!

We enjoyed our get together at the farmhouse. The kids loved the birds, cow and dog that visited us, and we loved sitting around the fire. This was half way between for all of us, so the drive was short. We would do it again!

Beautiful property

We had a great time celebrating my dad’s 90th birthday at the farm. So much to do for all ages. I highly recommend the maple syrup farm too. Jake and Hailee could not be more friendly and helpful. Thank you!

The owners are great! Plenty of room and a lot of games to play outside. Enjoy the animals! This is our 3 rd year and we plan on coming back next year! Our home away from home. We love it!

WE LOVED IT!!

Our family really enjoyed the four nights we spent here at Thanksgiving with our dogs. The farmhouse was very roomy and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Everything was great. Feeding the animals, taking the tour, walking on the trails, playing frisbee golf, sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows, and enjoying the pancakes and syrup left in the house for us to use! Thank you Jake and Hailee! We want to come back!!

Great old farmhouse!

We loved our stay. What a great country atmosphere. So much room for sleeping. Having the 3 bathrooms was also an added plus. The upstairs having the half bath. The firepit right out in the front yard was fun. We loved the tour of the facilities it was so interesting learning how syrup goes from the collection until the end product, then we could buy the end product! Ladies weekend away...we would stay again. Also very close to Gatehouse winery whichas wonderful.

Amazing beautiful and peaceful place to visit

We are a small group of scrapbookers/cardmakers. We had an amazing time here. We loved our hosts. They make you feel so welcoome! We did the tour of the maple business which is totally recommended. Jake and Hailee are great hosts! Property is very clean and everything you need is there. Can't wait to come back!

Fun AND Educational

Jake and Hailee are awesome hosts who respond quickly and are VERY accommodating to requests. The home is comfy, the rooms are large and the kitchen has plenty of storage, upgraded appliances and plenty of counter space. Our grandkids found so much to do that they couldn’t stop talking about the day’s fun at dinner time. They also learned sooo much! Did you know a cow’s tongue feels like sandpaper? I do now! They are still talking about the tour and citing facts about maple sugaring! And the local fishing was outstanding. LOVED OUR TRIP!

Nova Maple Syrup Farm

Excellent property. Comfortable slept extended family of 10. Close to Pymatuning and Conneaut Lakes. Host left clear and detailed instructions and also checked to make sure everything was ok. Everything we needed was provided.

Family gathering at the farm

What a wonderful place for our family vacation. The farmhouse was very comfortable for our group of 10 and when local family visited the big porch and yard was a great gathering space. We enjoyed a campfire most nights with firewood provided and the kids caught fireflies and the adults played corn hole. Hailee and Jake were excellent hosts, very friendly and we enjoyed the tour of their maple syrup business. This property is quiet and peaceful and also an easy drive to shopping and things to do. We recommend this property and would return.

great getaway

large rooms, great kitchen, lots of bathrooms, outdoor area was fantastic, extra large porch for sitting, fire pit, games to play, maple tour was educational and tasty. We found much to do in the area also enjoy the animals. my family had a great relaxing week together and we even got to take our dog

Amazing experience

We had a really good time at this farm house. It was big enough for 6 adults and 4 kids, and could have slept more. Kids really enjoyed feeding the cows, peacocks, and turkeys. Maple syrup was so tasty. Very comfortable with lots of entertainment options. Thank you so much!

Privacy, beautiful woods, Very Roomy

We had a great time, had a big family dinner and early holiday celebration with our PA family. Comfortable and roomy. The foul were entertaining and we enjoyed feeding them. When the Turkey laid an egg while the kids were watching it outside the door it caused some excitement. The huge kitchen and dining room made our stay perfect. Loved the pancakes and maple syrup the owners left for us.

A quiet relaxing retreat.

We found our host accommodating and very helpful. He had some issues with the previous guests and tried his best to recover from their damages. He made sure that it did not affect our stay. He are planning on returning in the future.

Great Place to Separate from The Craziness of Life

Superb property able to host multiple people with plenty of space! The only critique that I can give is the need to update TV & Internet supplies. Yes, separating from the craziness of life involves removing one’s self from media. Yet, having the ability to make calls & check in with others by way of internet & TV would have been nice. Overall, great place to stay & I would highly recommend it.

The whole family had a great time and the animals were a treat. Hailee and Jake were great hosts and Hailee gave us a tour of the maple syrup farm. Everyone left with tasty treats from the maple syrup farm.

Nova never disappoints!

This was our third stay at Nova Maple Syrup farm and it was just as enjoyable as the first time! We’ve appointed it our annual family getaway spot. It’s beautiful, the animals are so intriguing, the peacefulness & serenity you get from just sitting on the porch are priceless! And Jake & Hailee are the absolute most phenomenal hosts! How did we get here?

During the winter of 2013, Jake decided to try making his own maple syrup with some of the trees on their 1.5-acre property as a hobby. He researched online, ordered the necessary equipment for a small-scale operation, and got to work. He tapped 50 trees and hung plastic bags to collect the sap. He and Hailee chopped wood and boiled the sap over an open fire at the back of the property. When the season was over, they had made 17 gallons of syrup.

Jake, along with help from Hailee and some friends, continued to make maple syrup over the next two seasons, each year upgrading methods and equipment. Instead of using plastic bags that had to be collected and poured into a barrel, they were now connecting all the trees with tubing that used a vacuum to pump the sap to a single collection point. This, in addition to tapping more trees (200 instead of just 50) increased production to 50 gallons a year. Jake and Hailee used the syrup to give away as favors at their wedding in July of 2014 in glass maple leaf bottles.

Thoughts of producing maple syrup on a commercial level began to enter their minds, so they started searching for a suitable plot of wooded land. They found what they were looking for in Hartstown, PA.

After a successful first season producing commercially, Jake and Hailee had their sights set on expanding. Three more properties, totaling 170-acres, were purchased and set up for the 2017 season. With newly recruited help 15,000 additional taps were put in, making Nova Maple Syrup one of the largest producers in the area.

Nova Maple Syrup was established in 2015 with the purchase of a 100-acre property in Hartstown, Pennsylvania. The inaugural commercial syrup season began in late January of 2016 with roughly 7,500 taps. Since then we’ve expanded to 22,500 taps covering 275 acres.
