This attic has air conditioning in the living room and fans in the bedrooms, blinds on all windows, private parking in the basement, cable TV, wifi, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one en suite) with bathtub and shower, and finally 2 bedrooms with built-in wardrobes (1 double bed/2 single beds and a spacious and comfortable sofa bed).

The terraces are also equipped with tables, chairs, sun loungers and outdoor benches.

Located in a golfing area, in a private residence with a lift and swimming pool, the penthouse has a strategic location. It is situated in an elevated and peaceful environment, just 2 minutes from Doña Golf, 5 minutes from the sea, you will find the main supermarkets (Lidl, Mercadona,...) in 4 minutes, as well as La Duquesa or Estepona in less than 10 minutes.

Solheim Cup win!

Came to this part of Spain to go to Finca Cortesin golf club to watch the Solheim Cup. It was a great location only about 20 mins away from the course. Fabulous views from the balcony to Gibraltar and Tangiers. We had no wifi connection on arrival but this was sorted the next day. One of the sun beds is broken. Can I suggest too that a couple of hooks are put into the bathrooms for hanging towels etc on. Although quite small the kitchen was reasonably well equipped. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and the weather was hot and sunny for our short break.

Not as expected

The apartment had everything we needed but cleanliness was not good the loungers upstairs were filthy and 2 were broken and floors were gritty and there were loads of small black flies. I tried to speak to the manager but no answer, so we cleaned them ourselves. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and lovely views from the balcony.

Disappointed

Upon arrival we were shocked to see the condition of the decoration most of the walls were badly marked, dirty and in desperate need of decoration and very nearly walked out. A couple of days before arrival we were told the En-suite toilet was damaged and not usable and they were awaiting the insurance to come through, this should not have been let in this case. The only saving grace was the outside space, soft furnishings and the view.

What a view and a huge amount of outside space.

The property was spotlessly clean and everything was of excellent quality. The view is excellent, down to the coast, Gibraltar and also N Africa on a clear day. The outside space with L shaped furniture is great for all day sun and there is another roof terrace with sun beds and even more space. We were very lucky with the weather with only one brief spell of cloud and rain in 14 days so could make the most of it. Breakfast on the terrace in Feb/Mar is a real bonus. The internet is absolutely mega over 100mb/s download and upload! The "Smart" TV was excellent and included major UK channels, Netflix / Amazon access etc. with very comfy sofa in area to sit on. The main bedroom is large and bright with an excellent ensuite bathroom, the bed was very comfortable. A second bedroom was a useful dressing room for us and the main bathroom also great. Lots of space for just the two of us. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, big fridge/freezer etc, but only one person at a time in there - compact. We used the electric plancha grill several times and took it outside to cook - fish / steaks etc as there is no BBQ but this worked very well. The complex has very well maintained gardens and the garage basement parking with a lift is a bonus for taking up the luggage and shopping. There are unoccupied apartments and unfinished/empty blocks in the area but this does not spoil the view or the general atmosphere of the place. In fact it was nice to see some apartments have been occupied by Spanish families and are not just holiday lets. Its only a few minutes back down to the main road for shops, bars, restaurants etc but it feels a world away. If you want somewhere noisy, busy and close to bars and restaurants, stay in an apartment down on the coastal strip. We had thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time here. After a day out exploring it was an oasis of peace and quiet. Even if you don't like birds you can't fail to be impressed by the soaring Griffon Vultures at Casares …... with a wingspan of up to 3metres that is a big bird!. The management company's office is closed (winter season at least) at the weekend and you have to collect and drop off keys to a safe in the wall in Pto. Duquesa, which was a slight concern before we arrived, but it worked well. We loved this apartment and our 2 week break here! We hadn't been to Spain for a long time but it's back on our winter list again now.

Excellente situation

Le lieu était très tranquille. Terrasse très agréable. Au calme. Facile d’accès. En hiver, un point de chauffage d’appoint dans les salle de bain serait pas mal. Quelques verres à vin en plus…
