We had a great stay. The cabin had everything we needed, plus a lot of extras that made this the best place we have stayed at. Location was close to activities we had planned. Nice views of the lake. Comfortable bed and furniture. Kitchen well stocked. We brought our dog, he enjoyed walks around the area, he had a fenced in yard, and Erika even left homemade treats for him to enjoy. Hope to stay here again next time we are in the area.

A lovely cabin right on the lake, it is clean, pretty, quiet, and comfortable. Comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen made it even better. Host Erika went out of her way to accommodate us and make sure everything was just right. We felt wonderfully looked after and can’t wait to come back.

Perfect cabin getaway

The cabin is very well appointed and the manager Erika was very accommodating. Everything we needed to enjoy the water, campfires and some relaxing quiet time. Erika has all the little touches! We loved our vacation.

Wonderfully relaxing with a beautiful view

Very nice location with a wonderful view. Cabin was immaculately cleaned, and owner left plenty of snacks and all the condiments needed for cooking. All the necessary living essentials were also provided! Owner also was very attentive and answered my questions within a few minutes!

Close Winter Get-Away

Had a really nice time staying at Erika's cabin. Close to the cities, with rural cabin feeling. Home was very clean, and accommodating. The cabin living area was open and inviting, with its high vaulted ceiling, and yet comfy cozy enough to settle down with a good book. Would be a great summer vacation as the home is only a few steps away from the lake. Thanks Erika for our relaxing retreat!!

Perfect, peaceful lake house rental

This was one of our best ever rental experiences! We were looking for a peaceful place on the water to stay while our son recuperated from surgery. We found it! The lake house was just as described and seen in pictures and was so clean! It has the perfect view of the water and comes with lots of toys to enjoy on the water. Erika could not have been kinder or more accommodating to meet our needs while we helped our son recover. We are so thankful we found this place!

YOU BETCHA WE WILL COME BACK!

My husband and I had a perfect weekend getaway for his 30th birthday.Ericka was an absolute delight to work with. Absolutely stunning cabin fully equipped with anything you could need. Pet friendly as our golden retriever Rosie was able to join! Close to Minnehaha Falls or Mall of America for day activities, followed by breathtaking view of the lake and the jet tub was just as gorgeous as it looked in the pictures. Very easy and readily to communicate with and not overbearing hosts at all. If your looking for a winter or any season really, getaway that's not too far from home this place was perfect! Can't wait to come back!

Hands down, our favorite experience renting via VRBO! The cabin is a cute little place on the south bank of Lake Owasso. You can’t get any closer to the lake than this place! It’s so quiet and peaceful! We enjoyed watching all the birds on the lake including a couple bald eagles fishing! The only noise is really the occasional train going by. The parking is limited due to the private road but easily accommodated four vehicles. The cabin kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you need from baking cookies to making a crock pot meal. After 16 years, we moved out of Minnesota 5 years ago and frequently return for short visits with family. We definitely miss the MN vibe and all the fun things to do and the diverse food scene. We stayed at the cabin for a week during Thanksgiving and served dinner to our family of 9 easily. The double oven is such a lifesaver. The convenience of a washer/dryer allowed us to pack light. The loft king bed is very comfortable and the pillows are great! I can’t say enough about how accommodating and thoughtful the hostess is! She went the extra mile of helping to ensure we had enough chairs and kitchen equipment for our Thanksgiving dinner. She was very responsive to anything we needed and had great communication. We definitely felt at home during our stay and look forward to booking again soon!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

When we first walked in, we were impressed by the log cabin feel, cleanliness, and fresh scent that remained through the duration of our visit. There's a great view of the lake, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Erika was a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay special.

5 Star Getaway!

Felt like we were up north but with all the amenities of city living. Erika was a perfect hostess. There were so many personal touches. The master bed was extremely comfortable. It was great to be able to have our dog with us during our stay. She enjoyed it just as much as we did. We would highly recommend this getaway!

Local Cabin get away

We are from the Twin Cities and wanted to go to a cabin for spring break. Little did we know we could go to the cabin and only drive 15 minutes from our house. We had so much ease in being close to home with packing. If we forgot something we had a quick trip home. We really felt like we were away from the routine of life. The cabin was well stocked, perfect for our family of 5 ( 2 adults, 1 teenage and 2 dogs). Our pooches had great walks and a fenced in front yard. Erika had fresh banana bread waiting for us and was a wonderful hostess with spices to use, snacks including crackers and cheese and dog biscuits too! We would definitely happily return. There are train tracks near the house but we only noticed them a couple of times and it certainly would not be a reason not to book this little gem of a local cabin on the lake.

Excellent place to stay

This house is very comfortable, extremely clean, and well equipped. The owner is quick to respond and very accommodating. The property and views are gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Perfect

We were a little nervous about traveling during a pandemic, but this cabin immediately felt like a safe and cozy retreat. Erika's communication went above and beyond, as did everything else about the place. We were amazed at how clean everything was, all the special touches (extra towels, blankets, toiletries, and even groceries!), and the beautiful view. We spent a lot of time at the fire pit with family and would love to return in the summer to enjoy the lake. Highly recommend!

Amazing staycation

We needed a local place to stay while we put our house up for sale. The location and amenities were amazing! We spent most our time on the deck, enjoying the lake. Erika is an amazing host. She communicated often, asking if we needed anything. All of the little things, like snacks for the kids and a crate for our dog made us feel at home.

Amazing rental

Everything about this place was outstanding. We’ve stayed at VRBO’s all over the US, and this was among the best. Erika thought of everything - the house was as good and better than advertised. Such a well appointed house, in an incredibly beautiful setting. We didn’t even feel slighted due to the weather being a bit cold for our stay. The house was so cozy and great to hang out in. Location is excellent. You are 5-15 minutes from any restaurant or shopping place you could think of. Great breakfast at the Scandinavian Bakery 2 minutes away. I would give this a 5 star rating without hesitation. Thank you so much Erika - we will certainly be back. Andy & Kari Hyatt

Great way to visit family

We are a family of 4 from MICHIGAN with lots of family in the twin cities. This was a perfect place for us to stay that they could visit us during the day and we could have a restful place to relax each night. Great spot on the lake with great amenities.

This Property Sets The Bar For A Perfect VRBO Experience

As a frequent traveler and VRBO guest, I can confidently say that this property by far sets the bar for a perfect VRBO experience. I rely on reviews and this VRBO’s past reviews led me to book this property. If you are considering this VRBO, I am encouraging you to book it; you will not be disappointed!! This was the cleanest space I’ve ever been in; not to mention the beauty of cabin and lake. Everything was laid out with intention and common sense. Check in and lock box access was simple. Beautiful lake home with a host who has thought of everything!

Beautiful log cabin on the lake with everything to make your stay comfortable. We will definitely be coming back. The host Erika went out of her way to make our stay perfect.

Excellent Place!

Well first off Erika was great to work with!! She was very helpful and accommodating!! The place itself was very nice, and clean!! It was also nice to have a washer n dryer right there... Oh n the fridge had some food in it which was also very nice!! Definitely would rent the place again!! Thanks again Erika for the great place, and service!!
