Hidden Gem in Keweenaw's Outdoor Playground

Built in 2004 this quiet cottage is located on a private penninsula in Bete Grise.
Our private cottage is the perfect respite after enjoying all the area has to offer.

We have a private dock which offers direct water access to all types of boating and fishing in Lake Superior and Lac La Belle. Beach access to the crystal blue waters and singing sands of Lake Superior is at the end of the driveway. The Midwest's premier ski hill, Mt Bohemia, is just 3 miles down the road as are the U.P's famed snowmobile trails, and mountain biking IMBA’s Copper Harbor “Silver Level Ride Center” ranks among the top trail systems in the world!

Our open floor plan on the first floor is a wonderful place to gather after a day of adventure in the the Keweenaw whether it be for a meal or fireside chat around the custom fireplace.

Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 10. The master suite is located on the main floor with an attached bathroom. It has a queen bed and queen size sleeper sofa. The 2 other bedrooms are located on the second floor, 1 with 2 queen beds and the other with 1 queen bed and a shared bathroom.

There is an alarm system on the cabin that will be disarmed before your arrival. We do however have exterior cameras that are on the porch only. These are for your protection and ours.

Awesome views from the deck right across from the beach, very quiet and peaceful, relaxing, and had everything we needed. Perfect getaway and home base for a long weekend away in the Keeweenaw. Getting up early to see the sunrise is a must.

A beautifully situated and stunningly lovely property. Lake views glorious morning and evening. Very well equipped kitchen. We cooked and did not eat out, didn't want to. Totally pleased by this property.

The house was perfect & set up with everything you could imagine & then some! We all truly enjoyed our weekend. The only suggestion I have for anyone looking to stay, is to be sure you have all of the food & drinks you are going to want. Although there is a convenience store close by, that is pretty much all there is. We made sure we planned accordingly as we did do our research of the area, but others may not. Communication with the owner was frequent & there were no issues with the house. It was so cute & cozy!! Thank you for an amazing experience

We loved our stay! This is the perfect upper peninsula tranquil getaway. The house is immaculately cared for with plenty of space. Looking out the windows you can see both Lake superior and Lac La Bell. There is a dock right on Lac La Bell for fishing and relaxing. The mornings are peaceful and the sunrises are spectacular. There are thimbleberries, red raspberries, wild blueberries, hummingbirds, deer, birdwatching. The hosts were accommodating and easy to communicate with. Can’t say enough about this property! We are looking forward to staying here again in the future!

We had stayed other places at Bete Gris and admired this place’s dreamy cabin vibes for years. We were exited to stay here this year. It did not disappoint. It’s got a private location but still a great view both of the lagoon and the Lake Superior. In summer you get a great sunrise from the porch. Access to the lagoon is on the property, Lake Superior is a 5 minute walk. The house was spacious, clean, cozy, and well supplied. Our family had a great time.

We stayed here during a ski trip to Mount Bohemia and it couldn’t have been a better home base.After long days on the slopes, coming back to this cute and cozy cabin was exactly what we needed. The wood-burning fireplace was the perfect spot to warm up and unwind after a full day of skiing.The cabin felt wonderfully private and secluded, yet it was still incredibly convenient for our ski plans.The host’s communication was excellent from start to finish and the detailed directions were especially helpful given the winter road and weather conditions.

Host was easy to contact. This was our second stay at this lovely home and there are many amenities to utilize from cooking, laundry, wifi, streaming services etc. Home is clean and taken care of. Beds are comfortable and have plenty of pillows and extra blankets. Driveway was plowed upon arrival. Lots of parking room. Would love to plan a stay in the summer sometime!

Amazing beach

Lovely getaway in cozy cottage with gorgeous views. The fireplace and games/puzzles were wonderful to have since the weather was cool and rainy on and off while we were there.
