Halfshell is the perfect getaway spot for us. Love the walking distance to town and restaurants. The cottage was clean with cute beachy vibe. Love the outdoor space for a glass of wine bf dinner or coffee in the morning. We will be staying again!

We had a wonderful time here! We loved the decor, inside and outside of the house.There was a beautiful pathway leading to the house. And there were some areas to sit throughout the outside areaz. We thought it looked really nice how sp many tjings said half she'll on them, including towels! We hope to stay again! Thanks for being so helpful.

perfect near town sanctuary

my husband and I stayed here for our mini moon in june and it was perfect! Clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, close to town but still private. Sarah was responsive and helpful, we would love to stay here again!

Half Shell is total delight

This is a very comfortable, beautifully furnished in coastal style property. Fully equipped, nice linens and towels. It is helpful to rent bikes or have a car as it’s a solid 15 minute walk to the heart of “Town”. Lovely base for exploring the island.

Great stay!

We loved this cottage! It has everything you need to feel at home. It’s so charming and inviting. We traveled with our two year old son & he got to play outside while we grilled. Everything was so close by, whether we drove, biked or walked we made it very quickly. I would highly recommend for a small family or couple!

We loved the rental, Half Shell. The location was great, our host, Sarah was thoughtful and responsive. The property was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. The outdoor space was an added bonus. We would come back anytime.

Comfortable Stay

This is a very cute property, just enough space. My husband and I stayed 5 nights, my Daughter and her friend came for the weekend. We were very comfortable. Outdoor space is lovely and private. We like to bring our car so having parking was perfect. Easy walk to dinner in town. We plan on booking again , probably for a full week.

Love the half shell

This was a pleasant surprise, the accommodations were beautiful, quaint, clean and surprisingly a ton of room. Close to downtown. We walked every night. Neutral access to all beaches. We will be back!

Perfect spot for us. The Half Shell is a lovely cottage that is nicely decorated, comfortable for a couple or two and ideal for a getaway. It is has everything that you need for a weekend or a week. Sarah was extremely helpful. Thank you for sharing your home.

A great place to stay!

The Halfshell really is as good as the reviews say! A cozy place just 10ish minutes walk from town so it's easy to go back and forth as you please. It's set back off of the main road a bit too so it feels like you're in your own private oasis. The best part is the outdoor patio area; it's fully covered so we sat outside even when it rained. Clean and spacious, a great peaceful spot. Will return!

Hurricane Chasers

stayed at Half Shell due to a family wedding. Home location was just perfect, not only close to the festivities at Great Harbor Yacht Club, but also for a stroll into town. It is set off the street, private and quiet. Bed was comfy. Hurricane Lee was blowing through, but we were secure in the cottage! The VRBO pictures are accurate. Good communication with Sarah.

We had a wonderful stay! Quiet, immaculate, great AC, Shower, and bed for those that appreciate those things. Owner is in the main house and was incredibly kind and helpful when we crossed paths. The property is right next to a Wave Bus stop. Which basically puts the island within steps and it’s free! Utilize this immediately and save the hassle of worrying about a parking place. Sincerely, one of our favorite vacations and Half Shell had a lot to do with that.
