Relaxing vacation home located seven miles from downtown Hayward. Great fishing lake located on a quiet road.
Two story walkout with expansive views of the lake from both levels. Two bedrooms and a bath upstairs and two bedrooms and a bath down allows for optional privacy for larger groups. The deck on the second level offers spectacular views of the lake and surrounding area.
Four kayaks and a canoe are available for use. Gas grill with full kitchen. Pets welcome.

The lake views are amazing and the sunsets even better! My adult children and I enjoyed the kayaks and my kids fished off the dock every day. The kitchen is fully stocked and the space was perfect for my family of five. Best vacation!!

Beautiful house for our family to come together and enjoy the water for fun and fishing. Rooms were spacious and Beds were super comfortable! I love the coffee bar and fully stocked kitchen. Could use some maintenance though. Had AC issues with water in the basement so had to deal with maintenance during the stay. Showers weren't optimal, Boat lift didn't work and could also use a better vacuum for pet hair cleanup. Also...didn't notice that this house does not include a washer and dryer.

Great family week

Our family had a wonderful and stress free vacation. Great location and nice dock to fish from. Very clean and well-maintained property.

Enjoyed our stay. We had AC issue and Amy responded in a timely manner. Service was sent timely as well. The house was cleaned and worked well for our family. We had to go buy TP and paper towels due to no extra supplies. The kitchen had everything we needed. One major issue for us is the dock. We had two boats and the dock is not made for that at all . The dock definitely needs some work. It would help to remove a very old boat lift and add more dock support. Our grandkids and adults did enjoy a lot of water time. We brought large deck float’s that worked well. The view was beautiful! The only reason we will not return is the dock issue for our family.

Birke Trip

Excellent vacation home very close to Hayward for all Birke activities! Pet friendly and also fully equipped kitchen for home cooked meals, staying home with our pet was important to us!

June vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this home on Nelson Lake. The place was ready on time, clean and furnished with all the necessities and more for our stay. The cabin was as advertised and we would stay there again.

Annual family gathering

We want to get our kids and grandkids together once a year and this is how we do it. Swimming...fishing and relaxing near water. This was a really nice venue to do that.

Cabin Week

We love this property. It’s perfect for our kids and grandkids to enjoy. We appreciate that we can also bring our dogs with us. They love swimming in the lake. We look forward to staying there again next year.

Very nice place, very clean. The dock set up is challenging to maneuver boats in and out. Communication with owner was slow. Overall a great rental, would go again.

Nice and relaxing

We had a great time! Close to many small towns for shopping, great fishing, boating, kayaking, nice places to eat at, lots of wildlife and beautiful views. Make sure to bring bottled water high iron in the water, bring extra bath towels, washcloths and hand towels (not enough),and hand soap for kitchen. Overall great place and we would stay again.

End of summer vacation

The property was very nice, the lake is very nice, unfortunately the fish were not biting, but we still had a great vacation.

A great spot on a very nice lake

This was as advertised. A peaceful and very nice lake home. We loved the location and enjoyed what both the lake and Hayward had to offer. So many positives with this vacation spot. What would even make it better is the addition of a washer/dryer and water softener with iron filter. Thank you for having us.

Family get together

The property was clean. The dock on the water was wobbly. The deck and steps outside needed stain. I didn’t think we met Amy. A woman and her son were cleaning up to 4pm check in time and I’m not sure it was Amy Didn’t identify her self and said sh would be back tomorrow to bring another water canister. The rest of week was good!

When the opportunity opened up to spend more time on this beautiful fishing lake for generations to come, our family took it. We have no regrets and love how much the kids love coming and continue to make beautiful memories for themselves.
