Property will be re-opening on 1st March 2020 after installation of a new heating system and refurbishment.
A self-contained 2 bedroomed apartment with kitchen; lounge/diner, bathroom.
The first floor comprises the kitchen; the loung/diner and the bathroom
On the half way staircase there is a cupboard
On the second floor are the two bedrooms
Kitchen has a built in electric hob & oven, microwave, washing machine; toaster; electric kettle and a good range of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, a picnic cool bag with a supply of picnic ware is also provided.
Bathroom; bath with shower over bath. A hair-drier is provided as are all towels and a welcome pack of toiletries for each guest.
Main bedroom has a king size bed and there are built in wardrobes; a bedside table and lamp and a bedroom chair. All linen is provided - for longer stays linen is changed on a weekly basis.
Second bedroom is a good size single with wardrobe, a bedside table and an easy chair. All linen is provided - for longer stays linen is changed on a weekly basis.
Lounge; 40" TV (freeview only) and fully furnished with sofas and coffee table
Dining area; dining table & 4 chairs fully equipped with place settings
Landing Cupboard: vacuum cleaner, ironing board.
Upper landing has a bookcase and guests are invited to swap a book if they wish
Broadband equipped
A good range of local tourist information is available
Safety features include smoke alarm, carbon monoxide monitor and small fire extinguisher.
Apartment@26 aims to showcase Arts & Crafts from around the region. From art to sculpture; the slate place mats and even the courtesy soap all have a story to tell and wherever possible details will be included in the guests welcome pack.
Situated just 10 minutes walk from City Centre and about 20 minutes from the University. This is an apartment in a listed building so expect to see some uneven floors and quirky sash window frames. To the rear of the property there are good views over Higher Exeter and out towards the Haldon Hills. From the master bedroom there is also a good view of the Exeter City Football Ground.
Convenient for the Exeter bus and coach stattion
A Car Parking Space is available about 35 metres from the property at no extra charge

Fantastically located apartment. Well equipped and spacious, parking space nearby. Anne was a great host, there if you needed her. Would return again.

The best place for exploring Exeter

This is a terrific apartment: it is very well equipped, clean, comfortable and the location is perfect. All the interesting spots in Exeter are within easy walking distance. The owner, Anne Jobson, is more than friendly and helpful and she made us feel welcome from the first minute to the last. We will try to get back into this apartment whenever we get to Exeter again.

The location was very good. A short walk to the centre of Exeter.It was very useful to have the use of a parking space, as the property is located on a busy main road and nearby side streets, all have Resident Parking.The outside entrance to the property was very unwelcoming as the front gate was broken, there were several overgrown plants, rubbish and a general look of neglect The flat itself was at the top of the House and the smell, similar to cat pee ( and I am a cat lover) hit you and stayed with you, from the minute you entered the flat.The Host had left lots of helpful information leaflets and left a few more, the next day. We appreciated that and added a few of our own.We liked the quirkiness of the house with its ill-fitted windows and doors and many uneven floors. These are to be expected in a property of this age.The bedding and towels were clean and small toiletry packs were left with the towels.The Bathroom was disgusting. The toilet should be immediately condemned. Several times daily, we put antibacterial cleaner over the pipework behind it as the smell and waste from it was beyond awful.We always had hot water but the Bath surround itself needed serious attention.The kitchen was very dirty including the floor, worktops, appliances, inside and out We preferred to use our own tea&coffee .Being out every day helped us cope We left the flat cleaner than we found it and stripped the beds and left no rubbish. We enjoyed the areas we visited

Apartment Near City centre

We had a lovely stay in this quirky apartment. Anne was warm and welcoming, and the location of the property was great for accessing central Exeter. Being able to park outside the garage was also a bonus as the area is residents only parking. The apartment is on the top two floors and is self-contained with its own front door. The host lives on the other floors so is available if you have any questions or need anything. If you like football there is a fantastic view of the stadium from both the kitchen and main bedroom windows.

Hübsche Wohnung an zentralster Lage. Es ist alles vorhanden, die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eine super Unterkunft!!!

Central, clean, convenient, unexpected owl!

The location is a very convenient short walk from the middle of town. The apartment is accessed via a common staircase through Anne's part of the house. It is very clean and comfortable. Set over two floors, it's definitely a quirky vintage - there isn't a level floor anywhere and the kitchen window is a wonky wonder! Despite that it all seems draft proof and very cosy. Well equipped kitchen, so we were able to have family round for dinner. Anne is a very helpful host and even took the time to introduce her owl to my children, who were delighted! Definitely one of the more unusual experiences we've had in holiday homes! Access to a parking space was particularly useful as the on-street parking is all limited to 2 hours locally.

Good location, but we can't recommend it

Location was convenient and parking was made available for us. BUT, the lounge carpet is horribly stained, one of the walls in the lounge is bubbling and peeling, the whole building smells strongly of mildew and the flat really needs a good cleaning.

Good location, comfortable bed and accommodating host.

Comfortable house to stay in. We didn't need to use the kitchen facilities so cannot comment on that. Builders working on nearby stadium at the moment so quite noisy from 8am in the morning. Anne was very helpful let us leave bags with her before check in time.

A welcoming and pleasant flat in wonderful location.

We very much enjoyed our stay, with Anne presenting as friendly and helpful. The location of the flat was ideal, allowing us to explore Exeter by foot when we wished It had all that we needed and was comfortable and well equipped,

Comfortable and convenient home

We had a great time in Exeter and around, and Anne was a perfect host. She left us delicious local breakfast provisions and soap; provided us a place to park, and provided extra bedding when we needed it. The apartment is lovely and an easy walk from the center. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. Great stay!

Fantastic!!

I've been there with my family for five days. The house is fantastic and it is situated in a good position (not far from the city centre). I really recommend it, especially if you are looking for a cozy and nice place to stay.

Schade eigentlich.......

Wir haben die Vermieterin als eine sehr nette Dame kennengelernt. Bei der Anreise fanden wir in unserer Wohnung Kaffee, Tee, Milch, Orangensaft, Honig und Brötchen vor. Das Appartement war gut ausgestattet. Alle wichtigen Geräte waren ausreichend vorhanden. In der Nähe gab es für unseren PKW einen Parkplatz. Teile der Wohnungseinrichtung machten einen neuwertigen Eindruck. Das Zentrum ist fussläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Das Appartement ist für drei Personen ausreichend groß. Aber: Es war einfach nicht sauber! Das Appartement haben wir erst einmal geputzt. Es kann und darf nicht sein, dass ich die DNA-Hinterlassenschaften meines Vormieters beseitigen muss. Auch der in die Jahre gekommene verlegte Teppich machte keinen hygienischen Eindruck. Schade eigentlich......

Schade eigentlich

Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Zur Begrüssung fanden wir in der Wohnung Kaffee, Tee, Milch, Orangensaft, Brötchen, Cornflakes, Marmelade und Honig vor. Die Wohnung liegt zentral. Zum Stadtzentrum waren es nur einige Gehminuten. Für unseren PKW gab es in der Nähe einen Parkplatz. Die Wohnung erstreckte sich über zwei Etagen und ist für drei Personen optimal. Zu bemängeln war, dass die Wohnung vor dem häuslichen Niederlassen erst einmal komplett gereinigt werden musste. Badezimmer und Küche waren mehr als schmutzig..... Insgesamt war die Wohnung gut ausgestattet, über die Art und Weise wie man eine Wohnung möbliert lässt sich mit Sicherheit streiten.... Nicht aber über gewisse Anforderungen von Sauberkeit. Schade eigentlich.

Thank you for the review and I am sorry about the kitchen and bathroom on this occasion and wish that my guests had said something at the time as I could have rectified the problem.. I am now not certain what the problem as the apartment is always thoroughly cleaned before any guest arrives. I am so sorry to my guests and will double check the situation in future.

Charming flat close to the city

Mrs Jobson bietet eine charmante Wohnung in einer excellenten Lage zur Innenstadt Exeters an. Mrs Jobson ist sehr hilfsbereit und die Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Gerne wieder.

I am a barrister and moved to Exeter from London 15 years ago when I purchased the near derelict Georgian terrace that is now my home and where apartment@26 takes up the top 2 floors. I redesigned the garden where I grow vegetables and have fruit trees as well as play space for the dog. I love the local food, arts and crafts and as I get the apartment set up I am always on the look out for something new - details of the craftsmen can be found in the welcome pack.
Falconry is a great hobby as are gardening; dancing and dog walking. I also have a cat called Monty and a Little Owl, Theia in the aviary at the bottom of the garden. I look forward to welcoming you.
