“Base Camp RVA” is a short stroll to the James River, with parks on three sides along with VCU and Oregon Hill on the others. The VCU area is perfect for walking & cycling explorations. Rent an electric bike at the Petronius S Jones Park, a few blocks away or bring your bike and keep secure at “Base Camp RVA” in the locked storage shed off the back porch.
Historic Hollywood Cemetery, on the National Register of Historic Places serves as the final resting place for 2 United States Presidents and offers views overlooking the James River. Sitting 2 blocks away, this Cemetery is lovingly enjoyed by countless Richmonders, and visitors alike for it’s unparalleled peace and beauty.
“Base Camp RVA” provides a well equipped kitchen, with generous cookware, plates, utensils, etc.; a downstairs half bath, and upstairs full bath with tub, Master Bedroom with King, & 2 queen bedrooms. The bedrooms and living room
have Roku TVs with Netflix. The dining area and living room both provide ample room for a group of up to 6. The front porch and back deck are great outdoor spaces with seating for 2 in the front and ample space in the rear. The large backyard is fenced, with large gate doors that open to the alley & garbage receptacles.

The host was good with communication. The interior of house was nicely decorated and the furnishings were comfortable. The kitchen was very limited with cooking utensils, cookware, mixing bowls, etc.& could be organized a bit.Outside is in need of maintenance and repair. The neighborhood is questionable.

Host is super friendly and quick to respond to any messages. Beds were comfortable. House was clean and as depicted in pictures. Easy parking on street. We had a great stay.

The place had everything we needed. Nice fenced backyard for our dog, really comfortable beds, and nice location. Linley was a fantastic host and responded quickly to any issues we had. She is very friendly and easy to work with. Abundant supply of coffee and snacks.

We had a wonderful time. There was plenty of space and we were very comfortable. I loved the way it was decorated and that there were tvs in all of the bedrooms. We also enjoyed all of the snacks. Thanks for making it a great trip for us!

Found the property with a less than desired situation. The property manager was quick to respond and came to the property to address within a couple of hours. It did have parking in the rear but it did not seem as secure as I had hoped. My stay ended up being fine, residence was clean and offered everything I needed including a nice basket of snacks.

Excellent stay
This property had all the amenities, modern and clean decor, nice friendly neighborhood atmosphere, a little park a block away to walk the dog, and within walking distance to the many features of RVA.

I would definitely recommend staying in this home. It was what we needed as a family. We did not prepare meals there but the kitchen is nicely stocked with the needed essentials. There is also a Keurig with pods and creamer waiting for you in addition to a standard coffee pot depending on your needs. A washer and dryer in the home was great perk for a quick load of laundry. The house was clean, welcoming, and quiet. Only thing “missing” were trash bags for the kitchen trashcan and a quick message to the owner resolved that! She left us bags on the door to the home so not to come in since we already checked in. I will definitely return to this home if I need a place to stay in Richmond! Relax in Richmond
Great place to just unwind. Within driving distance to restaurants, shops, parks, etc. Really enjoyed our stay.
