What's nearby:
The Lighthouse Resort is located right on the sand near the center of Gulf Shores, half a mile east of Highway 59 and half a mile west of the pier and nature trails in Gulf State Park. Highway 59 is lined with family-friendly attractions, including Waterville USA, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and Pirate's Island Adventure Golf. The Craft Farms Golf Club is five miles north, the Gulf Shores Sports Complex is one mile beyond, and Big Wave Dave's, The Flying Harpoon 2, and The Flora-Bama are all within a quick drive. The nearby Orange Beach Marina and Zeke's Marina offer fishing charters, dolphin cruises, and water sports rentals as well.

Iove the short walk to the sand, the wrap around patio and the fact that two of the bedrooms gave you direct access to the balcony and beachfront view. Will definitely rent again.

Family vacation with a twist

I have been staying at The Lighthouse Condos for 11/12 years. The amenities and location are the best for my situation when staying in Gulf Shores. Everything has been outstanding till this visit. Unfortunately this unit has several issues and was less than desirable. I took my mom and brother down there on this visit and turned out to be a sheer embarrassment. As soon as I open the door there was many pest/bugs dead and alive all throughout the condo. We get settled in and go to get ice out of the freezer to find out the ice machine doesn’t work and a gentleman came to look at it on Thursday and said he had to order a part. Then that first night my mom tells me her toilet is leaking and was all on the floor. Another gentleman came to look at it and said this has been an ongoing problem in this unit. Not done yet my brother went to take a shower Tuesday morning to find out that drain was clogged. At this point I threw my hands up and told my family I’m sorry and that it was very embarrassing. I do believe it is time to update this unit at the price families are paying to rent this out. People spend their hard earned money on vacations and should expect the necessities to work. Please do better in this unit. I spent around 1800.00 on this condo and expected way better.

TLC NEEDED

This condominium needs lots of work. There are several walls that have been patched and never painted. Everywhere you look you see areas that need work. The location is great and the size is good. The condo itself is like a bad Motel 6.

The master bed is extremely hard some people might like a hard bed i prefer a softer one other than that it was a great stay

Need to update pictures

Large puddle of water next to threshold at the enterance door. Floors not cleaned alot of sand and dirt. Stove top burners, only 2 working. Mold in all the bath rooms also on curtains in bedroom next to master bedroom. Door jam messed up going into master bedroom. Air vent in master bedroom pulled away from the wall. Just alot of dirt stains and grime on the walls and trim boards. For the cost of the condo, wasn't expecting all of this.

Nice condo

This condo has a great balcony with plenty of room for everyone to sit and relax! Two of the bedrooms have balcony access as well as being able to access it from the living area. The kitchen is well stocked. We were able to snag a spot in the parking garage directly by the condo door which made loading and unloading a breeze. The only suggestion I would give is updated tv’s. It’s not a dealbreaker but the tv’s are old and don’t connect to the dish easily (or at all). Overall this was a very nice condo.

Location and layout of the Condo was perfect . Wonderful end unit with large wrap balcony. Room layout was good. The shower Curtains were nasty., shower/tub didn’t drain ..sheets for king bed didn’t fit and kept coming off…get deep pocket sheets.

Excellent condo

With a small investment in the broken shower head in the master and upgraded shower head in other bathrooms, it’s perfect! We were unable to use the balcony during our stay due to maintenance, we understood it to be usable while painter were not present, but that wasn’t the case. We’ll definitely stay again!

Wouldn’t Recommend

I wouldn’t recommend the rental of this room. There were a lot of issues. Bar stools, the sliding doors in living room and master bedroom didn’t lock. The washing machine didn’t work. Loose headboard. The dinner table was sticky. The sliding glass door was off track in the bathroom.

There was not a lot I loved about this condo.. Some of the previous problems in the reviews were still not fixed..The doorframe in the master bedroom is falling off.The condo needs a complete overhaul.. It was filthy..Curtains had stains on them so did the walls..Dining room table needs replaced our plates stuck to it..The kitchen needs a lot of upgrades the nicest thing was the new fridge..The recliner is still broken and filthy in living room. Headboards still falling off in spare bedrooms. Previous patron left dirty clothes in the closet so why weren’t they gotten rid of before we checked in. How much of a deep clean do they really do?? Called the office she said she couldn’t come get them til the next day or dispose of them yourself. Sad that we even had to do that at all..Should’ve went with my gut and canceled and stayed somewhere else.Didn’t call about any of this because obviously it doesn’t matter what’s in the reviews because nothing has been done about any of it.. As much as we pay to stay they could surely do some upgrades.. Just sad!!

Nice place, great views

We really wnjoyed the stay- would have given a 5star- but the management swapped out our fridge with a new one on our last day, instead of after we left- causing all the food in the fridge to be warm and go bad. The only issue we had. Which was minor, had to throw away a lot of food we had.

Good Service from Vacasa, Home Needs Updates

Vacasa provided the best service ever, especially Ms. Marie. I did encounter some things that needed attention and Ms. Marie and the remainder of the Vacasa team were very responsive. As far as the unit: Pros - Nice size, lovely wrap around balcony, there is a parking space right by the front door, there are 2 nice loungers on patio. and the view to the ocean was beautiful Cons- Headboard detached on one of the guest beds, several pieces of furniture have cosmetic issues, floor could use replacing, patio table chairs missing (was not a major problem for us because of the amount of other seating available), also because this unit is so close to the ground you have a clear view of the beach mice (big enough to be rats) running around below in the dunes - this freaked me out but I was better by the 2nd to last day. I will definitely book through Vacasa again, but not in this unit or property.
