Glad everything was "perfect". For anyone reading this review, the guest is incorrect when stating, "We were only told we needed to pay (for parking passes) when we checked in". It is written in 4 different places for guests to read (prior to booking, when completing required paperwork, and in 2 places in the welcome information before check-in date). Our VRBO listing page shows the parking pass information and cost, "Parking passes are currently $50 per car, per stay," . The rental agreement that must be signed and each page initialed by the guest says, "The Lighthouse allows guests of this condo to purchase up to 2 parking passes (possibly more in the off-season). Guests must purchase pass(es) at the 2nd floor office (mid-building). Inquire to confirm current parking pass price". The welcome message and its attached welcome letter both have parking pass info "Upon Arrival" and a "Parking Passes, Facility Codes, and Wrist Bands" section that are sent to the guest through their VRBO reservation prior to their check-in date saying, "Parking passes are currently $50/each" . The HOA charges and collects this fee and has the parking passes (we as owners are not allowed to charge the fee/roll it into the price of the rental). I know many of the HOA's of beach-front complexes in this area charge for parking passes, and have done so for many years. I did reach out (very nicely) to the guest, but no reply. I did reach out to VRBO and am waiting on the final review. I do understand people can overlook things, but I am honestly not sure how one could miss all 4 writings. I also want anyone reading this to know we have been in this business for 18 years. We are honest and upfront business owners. I do not want anyone to think we would "hide" a fee. As traveler's ourselves, we only like good vacation surprises. :-)

Thank you so much for your review. So glad you all had a "very fun experience"! When I contacted this guest mid-stay his reply was, "We've stayed at many condos throughout here and Destin. This is by far the most luxurious and clean we've been in." Those were the best words I heard all day!! My cleaners (since 2 months after we bought this condo in 2009) are wonderful!! These were our first guests after the new kitchen cabinets were installed. So glad to know they loved their stay!

So glad you had a wonderful stay! You are the first to note the mattresses. The primary and ocean facing mattresses were both replaced with upgraded mattresses in the past couple of years. But we will definitely keep an eye on them.

Yes, the balcony is really special! Having 2 of the 3 bedrooms facing the Gulf is highly unusual in a 3 bedroom condo-great to wake up to the beautiful Gulf-front views! We look forward to your return!
