Great place with amazing views. Carlos met us at the start and gave us all the details and some ideas for the week. We were able to find parking at the top of the street every day. Meals on the deck are a better view than you will find at any restaurant! I would definitely rent the place again.

Perfect week

We really enjoyed our time in the house. Carlos, the host, was amazing. The house has a great view and the location on the cliff is just fantastic. The little village was really charming too. Overall we had a great time.

We loved it!

Villa was amazing. It Had everything we needed. We traveled with our two children who loved the pool.The views are breathtaking.The property management and villa owners are so very helpful. We would stay in this villa again.

I highly recommend this property! The place was so clean, comfortable beds, plenty of gathering space. But the real draw was the balcony overlooking the town/ocean and the pool. Most of our free time was spent on the balcony. It is nice to have AC for the days when it is hot and the washing machine just adds to the convenience. Carlos was so responsive, and we appreciated the ease of check in and him walking us to the VRBO himself. It was a fabulous place to stay and I am so thankful that we we here during our Madeira stay.

Excellent accommodation and location

No problems at all. The house is very pleasant and the location is first-class with spectacular views across the bay. Only a short drive up to Funchal and an ideal base if, like me, you are visiting Madeira to take full advantage of the amazing walks both coastal and in the mountains. I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending this property or the Managing Company who were very courteous and helpful.

Haus und Umgebung wie beschrieben. Kommunikation mit Vermieter auf Englisch. Freundlicher Empfang vor Ort. Auto wird ca. 100 m entfernt geparkt. Zugang zum Haus über Treppen.

Traumlage

Wir waren 6 Wochen vor Ort ( Dezember und Januar) und haben die Lage des Hauses und den Blick auf den Ort und das Meer jeden Tag genossen. Es war einfach traumhaft. Leider kann man das von der Möblierung nicht sagen. Das Sofa ist so durchgesessen, dass man es ohne Rückenschmerzen nicht benutzen konnte. Es gibt nur einen deutschen Sender im Fernsehen (Deutsche Welle) , auf Dauer ist das nicht befriedigend. Und, was für uns am gravierendsten war: in der Anzeige bei booking.com ist ein Bidet aufgeführt, das leider nicht vorhanden ist. Es war uns wichtig und hat uns entsprechend gefehlt. Das Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer ist auch recht durchgelegen. Besteck und Geschirr passen nicht zur Qualität des Hauses. Es war trotzdem wunderschön und wir können das Haus empfehlen (wenn das Sofa mal ausgetauscht wird).

Toller Urlaub und sicher nicht das letzte mal auf Madeira

Wir hatten zauberhafte 10 Tage mit einer grandiosen Aussicht und super eingerichtetem Haus. Sonnig, aber auch windgeschützt liegt es wie beschrieben etwas unterhalb einer Strasse von der man gar nichts hört.

Ein wunderbares Haus

Alles wie beschrieben, dazu noch das Meeresrauschen jeden Tag, einfach herrlich. Der Pool ist klein aber genau richtig für en kleines Bad nach den Wanderungen. Eigentlich noch nie eine so komplette Küchenausstattung gesehen, es gibt einfach nix zu meckern. Ja, durch die Hanglage steiler Aufstieg, aber das Auto kann abends einfach stehen bleiben.

Tolles Ferienhaus, wunderbare Aussicht aber derzeit nichts für Ruhesuchende

Das Haus selbst ist an einem Hang direkt über dem Dorf gelegen, mit wunderschönen und direkten Meerblick. Die Ausstattung ist zum Teil schon etwas älter aber alles sauber, funktionsfähig und in Ordnung. Der kleine Pool liegt direkt am Hang. Wir waren uns nicht sicher warum das Wasser so milchig/trübe war, man konnte den Boden nicht sehen und sind deshalb lieber nicht reingegangen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und wir hatten einen schönen gefüllten Obstkorb. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und alles gezeigt. . Was uns leider den Urlaub sehr gestört hat und wir hätten sicher nicht gebucht wenn wir vorher darüber informiert worden wären, war tagsüber von Mo-Sa 9-19 Uhr Baulärm am Hang gegenüber. Dazu noch ständig, eine steile Straße, hochfahrende Schwerlast LKWs. Und dann hatten wir noch eine Festival Woche erwischt und hatten jede Nacht von 21:00 an bis zum Teil 1-2 Uhr laute Open Air Musik. Die zum Teil aus dem Dorf, von Bühnen kam, oder von Feiern aus dem Hotel gegenüber. Die Musik war so laut, dass sie selbst bei geschlossenem Fenster sehr gut zu hören war. An viel Schlaf war leider nicht zu denken. Wer also einen guten Schlaf hat. dem können wir das Haus nur empfehlen. Für Leute die gerne früh ins Bett gehen und dann früh zum Wandern aufstehen möchten eher nicht. Unbedingt Mückenschutz mitnehmen oder so einen kleinen Elektrostecker für die Steckdose, das Haus hat keinerlei Mückenschutz vor den Fenstern und wenn es tagsüber sehr warm ist heizt sich das Haus gut auf. Es gibt keine Lüfter oder Ventilatoren. Ich finde es sehr schade keinerlei Infos über Baulärm oder Feste im voraus erhalten zu haben da wir sonst jede Menge Informationen über Mietwagen oder Ausflüge und Anreise erhalten haben.

We are sorry you were disturbed by the works carried out by the municipality approximately 400 metres away and by the dock, this was unfortunately due to a rock fall which obliged urgent intervention of the municipality and is one of those unfortunate unforeseen circumstances. The music you heard during your stay was for a folklore festival which is normally very interesting to our visitors. Again it was something that was organised by the municipality in short notice and it is not part of the general festivities, which are organised for next weekend (so long after you left). With regards to the swimming pool, it is very difficult to keep the perfect balance between the required level of chlorine and sudden heat wave. An over chlorinated swimming pool guarantees clear water but not so pleasant to swim in. standard levels of chlorine will quickly reduce in unexpected heat waves, and allow the water to become slightly cloudy. If treated immediately it will return to it´s clear state. Unfortunately you did not advise the owner/manager that this had happened. Had you done so, he would have immediately increased the levels of water treatment and the cloudiness would disappear. However we must express some surprise on the comments you have posted, as the owner advised us he has spoken to you on check out, that he had explained these points, and that you had mentioned to him that you understood and everything was all right. We hope this doesn´t spoil the possibility of another holiday in Madeira.

Ein absoluter Traum

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Bilder geben genau die Realität wieder - das haben wir leider schon anders erlebt. Es ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und perfekt ausgestattet. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Während unseres zweiwöchigen Aufenthaltes gab es abends insgesamt vier Mal laute Musik (dreimal aus dem Ort, einmal aus dem gegenüberliegenden Hotel). Uns hat es nicht gestört. Ponta do Sol ist ein kleiner, ruhiger Ort mit einigen schönen Bars und Restaurants. Der Strand ist sauber und nicht überlaufen. Zu Fuß ist man in zehn Minuten im Ort, zurück benötigt man aufgrund der Steigung etwas länger. Der nächste (sehr gut ausgestattete) Supermarkt ist mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten erreicht. Die Kommunikation mit Carlos war sehr nett und angenehm. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Ein perfekter Urlaub

Wir waren 11 Tage in diesem Ferienhaus (Eltern mit zwei Töchtern 16 J und 26 J) Der Ausblick auf das Meer ist ein Traum! Es ist alles genauso wie beschrieben. In nicht mal 10 Minuten ist man an der schönen Bucht, wo sich unserer Meinung nach das beste Restaurant der Insel befindet. Wir kochen viel und gerne, aber wir waren tatsächlich oft in dem kleinen Lokal essen. Das Haus war ausgesprochen sauber, der Pool (beheizt 24°) herrlich. Die Küche war komplett ausgestattet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Frische Brötchen/Einkaufsmöglichkeiten mit breit gefächertem Sortiment, 10 Min. entfernt (ein kurzer Morgenspaziergang) Als Empfang hatten wir eine riesige Schale mit Obst von Madeira, z. B. Pinapplebananas sehr lecker. Die Schlüsselübergabe hat super geklappt.

Das Haus liegt traumhaft über dem schönen Dorf Ponta do Sol. Die Aussicht ist super.

Ein schöner Urlaub an einem ruhigen Ort. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und komfortabel. Ein Auto ist sinnvoll. Das Haus liegt an einer Bergstraße oberhalb des Ortes.

A wonderful place situated with an uniqe view over Ponta do Sol and the ocean👍🏻

We had a very pleasant stay, enjoying walks at levadas, klimbing hills with spectacular views. With a rented car it was easy to get around the island. We give our best recomandations for both the villa in Ponta do Sol, as for Madeira as a place to stay at holiday.

Traumhaus auf der Klippe

Großartiges Haus, alles wie im Angebot dargestellt, alles vorhanden, alles sauber. Sehr nette Betreuung durch Carlos. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Ponta do Sol ist ein netter Ort mit ein paar kleinen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Der Ort ist ein super Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten an den ersten Levada Wegen. Einziges kleines Manko: Der Fußweg vom Haus runter in den Ort ist aktuell wegen Erdrutsch gesperrt. Man muss die Straße nehmen. Nachts durch die schmalen Serpentinen etwas abenteuerlich, aber gut machbar. Once again, many thanks to Carlos. It has been a pleasure! Obrigado!

Très belle et confortable maison

Superbe maison avec une vue incroyable. Nous avons passé à 6 une très belle semaine. La piscine est petite mais parfaite pour se rafraîchir et bénéficie d'une vue incroyable sur la mer. Carlos est très accueillant et se débrouille très bien en français ce qui est très appréciable.
