Fish, Hunt, Swim, Ski, Kayak, Snowmobile/ATV trail, Billiards, Ping Pong, Darts, etc. or explore the Chequamegon National forest or rest at the cabin and enjoy the peace and quiet or turn on the satellite TV, internet and wifi. 3 BR's plus a Bunk room and a mini movie cave for the cubs! Family Friendly! Swim Raft w/diving box, Outdoor Solar Heated Shower. Fishing Boat, Kayaks, Hydrobikes and Garage/Game room rentals available upon request $50/day each.

Worked Out Great!

This was a great place for our group of six to stay to enjoy some winter fun in Hayward. I highly recommend the property and the attentive host. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen because we had a few large meals to prepare.

Cabin Stay

Everything was as advertised except for we had to get a new LP tank for the gas grill as we did not see any refills around. There also was not any firewood around the cabin so had to buy some of that. Not a big deal overall. The lake was nice and cabin had ample room for our family.

Great view family cabin

This cabin was big enough to accommodate a family of 4 with adult children. The view from the closed in porch was spectacular! We enjoyed sitting out there and on the deck looking over the water. There is dish available and the living room was accommodating to fit the whole family to relax at the end of the day. When we booked this a year prior it was advertised to have a washer/dryer and wifi. A week prior to our stay we were notified of no washer/dryer. We were able to plan accordingly and there is a laundry mat in town. We were not made aware of the wifi that was not available until after we checked in. This was unfortunate as one of the parents is in school and needs the ability to work remote. Dan was sympathetic and offered to come out to use his hot spot. Overall was a wonderful spot and would consider renting again in the future!

Early May adventure.

Very nice and comfortable cabin, excellent frontage on Black Dan Lake. Great opportunities for fishing and other enjoyable lakeside activities.

Great stay for Birkie weekend!

Dan was very helpful and clear during the check in process. His cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Would recommended to others.

Labor Day getaway

Wonderful views of the lake from the whole property. Plenty of room for multiple boats and kayaks. We could swim off the shore. A lot of room for everyone to sleep and watch TV. Kitchen/ dining area was not big enough for our 5 adults and four kids. We were also told the week before we got there that the washer was not working. We had to go to the laudry mat in town. The game room could use some updating.

Wonderful Place!

This place fit our needs perfectly - spacious, clean and beautiful property. The kids enjoyed the swimming and hydrobike; comfortable furniture and beds; easy to find on a quiet lake. Dan was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Serene, Tranquil and Fun!

We stayed at the Lake House in Winter, WI for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The absolute best part of our stay was the lake. The house is set up with windows across the back of the house for a beautiful view of the lake from all living areas. There are plenty of rooms for people to sneak off to for their own quiet time, whether it be the living room with a lot of seating, the kitchen, the screened in porch or the outside deck facing the lake. We spent a lot of time playing in the lake and floating on our inflatables; renting the kayaks was our best extra purchase. You just need to think through how much you will use the rentals. We grilled steaks, hamburgers, brats and shishkabobs on the gas grill which was very convenient. And there was plenty of seating around the fire pit with a great view of the lake. There are air conditioning window units in the upstairs loft and queen room and a window air conditioner for the living room area. Just need to be strategic in placing fans to blow the cool air to the 1st floor bedrooms which didn't have air. We had an excellent time with our family. The rental fee is reasonable and we made wonderful memories. Thank you for everything!

Perfect for what we needed

We rented this for the weekend for a family birthday party. We had 3 couples and it was perfect for all of us to hangout. It was clean and comfortable. The metal grate on the floor for heat was ridiculously hot but other than that no issues.

Beautiful property

The place was easy to find. The fishing for our 5 year old and 8 year old was fantastic. Swimming was a tad awkward but doable…water shoes are a must. The family thoroughly enjoyed the hydro bikes and kayaks. Owner was very attentive to questions.

Amazing place

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. The property was in excellent condition with all necessities and lots of extras available. There was more than enough room for our group Of 7. The views were stunning. Will definitely be back again.

Family vacation

It was delightful. Private, clean, almost everything we needed was there. It was beautiful, loons, eagles, osprey, otters and more. Highly recommend.

Overall happy

Property was clean with great private access to the lake. Everything was as described except for the washing machine not working and the outdoors shower. Both were features we’d would have liked. Our group of 9 packed light with the intention to wash our outfits on site. Instead we had to spend our vacation time at the laundry mat in town. Which was a bummer. I just wish this was communicated in advance so we could have packed appropriately. Overall the experience was still good though!

Love everything about the cabin.

We had an amazing time at the cabin. Perfect for the family to spend time there. The water bike was so much fun. Everything was amazing!!

Winter Getaway

This is a great property for a winter getaway. Our group was adults & teens. We were close to the snowmobile trails & had easy access to ride on the lake. The property is in front of a nice deep hole for good ice fishing. We had a beautiful winter campfire & enjoyed playing pool in the garage. The enclosed front porch was the perfect drop zone for all our gear. The house was cozy, warm & comfortable. With large windows everywhere, we got to enjoy beautiful views from inside, as well as outside. We had a wonderful time!

Cameras

The cameras made us uncomfortable. I burned my foot on the furnace grate in front of the door. Asian beetles all over, and the tv remote didn't work. Fixable things though

Great getaway!

The cabin was very clean and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The cabin was easy to find and spacious. The cabin is up on a hill and had a beautiful view! The area was nice and it was very peaceful. We stayed in the fall, but it seems like there would be lots of great amenities for the summer time. We've rented other homes that had exterior cameras, but we were surprised to see cameras in some of the common areas indoors at this cabin. (maybe that is common and we just aren't used to that) The kitchen was well stocked, the beds/pillows were comfortable, and the cabin had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this cabin.
