Specious 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms house with a swimming in-ground swimming pool. Master bedroom has queen side bed. The second bedroom has 2 win side beds. The bedrooms located on the sides of the house. The living room , dining area, and kitchen are in the center of the house. It also has big closed Lanai. The house was just remodeled has great appliances. Just look at the pictures. The location is great. It located 2 miles away from the beach and about a mile from down town Venice. Close to all highways and major roads. minutes away from all the shopping, movie theater, and entertainment. The swimming pool and back yard is shared with anther unit in a house. Wireless internet through out the house. TV operated via streaming channels service. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.

Outdoor lights did not work. Many indoor lights did not work. Broken yard light hanging in back yard near non-working grill that had dead snake in it. Unkept lawn, but owner did come mow once we complained but asked what that had to do with anything. Pool unsafe for swimming as was not filtering. Slimy and murky.. I swept it just so I could sit outside and have coffee. We paid too much too just walk away and get another place so we had to stay. I finally found a broom and swept the walkway with all the grubs and filth. Non-working hot tub. Washing machine filthy with black grime.

Not Good

We stayed 1 night out of a scheduled 7 day stay. That's the short story. Filthy, Disrepair, non working amenities. If I had a dog I wouldn't let him in the pool or hot tub.Someone was staying in the converted attached garage behind an unlocked door.

Venice bungalow

The property was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The entry light needs a new bulb and we had to find the linen closet to get towels as there were none in the bathrooms. We misread the listing and didn't realize that there's a studio space attached to the house for another guest, but she was very quiet and we really didn't hear her at all. Victoria was prompt to return all communications and we had no problems with the house at all.

Nice inside, outside needs attention.

The inside of the house was nice and modern. The yard was in very rough shape. House was advertised with a pool and gas grill. The pool was completely green when we arrived, it was drained and refilled during our stay but i am glad there were no kids on this trip, they would have been very upset. We planned to use the grill but when we checked it out the inside of the grill looked like it had been tipped over, rolled around, impossible to use. It was never disclosed that the pool and grill were not usable. These issued should have been disclosed , especially when they were advertised as part of the rental.

We didn’t even stay. We were there maybe 30 minutes

It did not look like the pictures. It was dreary and uninviting. The TV was streaming only. No cable or access to regular TV. The owner was slow to respond to questions. We got to town around 3 pm and asked if we could check in early. She responded that we had to wait till 5. She would not text the access code unti 5. We walked through and found moldy toilet paper in the bathroom. It just was not anyplace we wanted to stay. We spent the night in a motel, 3 nights with friends and drove the thousand miles back home. Bad trip! Expensive trip though. Paid for 16 nights and spent none!

Wonderful stay in Venice

House is located in a very safe quiet neighborhood. Venice and Nakomis beaches are a short drive away.. House is very spacious and clean. Victoria is a wonderful host.

Disappointed

Very clean house close to Venice downtown and only 2 miles from beaches. We stayed 20 days and very disappointed in WIFI and the fact that the pool was not heated and COLD. No washer or dryer so we had to go to a laundry. Owner/ property manager didn’t answer texts or emails in a timely manner. Didn’t get admitted into property until AFTER we were supposed to be in. It took the owner 2 days to fix hot water problem but once solved it was fine. A few things could make this the perfect VRBO, pool heater, better WIFI and an owner that communicates with the guests.

Pay attention to the description

Good-sized home, quiet neighborhood, close to the "island". However.....I didn't pay close enough attention to the list of amenities and missed the absence of a washer/dryer on the list. My bad. Also, be aware that even tho there's a barbeque in the backyard, there is no propane available....one would have to find a store selling it.
