The Charlene cottage is part of the Halcyon estate, a property consisting of 3.5 acres with ~900 feet of private shoreline. It is fully furnished; you only need bring linens. Charlene is steps away from a dock to be used for your swimming, sunning & boat tie-up needs. Also on the property are a sandy beach, picnic tables, gazebo, dock space, fire pit, and sweeping views of the lake. Conveniently located off of Route 9N (Lake Shore Drive), Charlene is just one mile north of Lake George Village with its many restaurants, shops and events.

Bob was most welcoming when we arrived as were the dogs, Lexi & Ivy. Accommodations were lovely as pictured. The property was amazing with breathtaking views.

Our host Becky and her family were very welcoming. It was a large property for our dog to run. So many beautiful views. Close to everything. Great hiking trails. Cottage had everything we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The views from all over the property was outstanding and breath taking.We got a visit from Lisa who was very helpful and friendly. She provides a tour of the grounds. Stunning...highly recommend

Perfect week at a perfect spot

Lovely Lake Vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much. The Charlene cottage is the perfect balance between quaint and modern. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. They were there for anything we needed, but not intrusive. It was a wonderful vacation and we'd love to visit again!

Charlene Cottage

Thanks To the host Becky and her family, everything went smoothly… cottage was absolutely beautiful inside and out! Location was perfectly set in a cove behind a small island which made the water calm, especially for my boat tide to an excellent dock. Property was very well maintained and a lot to do on the property. Nice short boat or car ride to downtown. Property has the perfect location for us to watch the 4th July fireworks!! I’ll definitely be back here again!! Thanks Becky!

Nice cottage on Lake George

Perfect cottage at the lakes edge with beautiful views, nice dock, fire pit and lovely grounds. We had a great stay with our Bernese Mountain Dog for a local family wedding.

Paradise

Our stay at the Halcyon Estate was way better than we could have imagined. The property is huge, so much to explore with so much shoreline property. We brought our 2 dogs with us, and we don't know who enjoyed the property and vacation more -- us or the dogs. The cottage is close to the Village and Bolton if you wanted to go into town, but also secluded and private for a peaceful vacation. Becky & family were so nice, and we look forward to staying here for years to come!

Charlene is lovely

Location is everything here. If you want to be close to the village, but yet in a quiet serene setting, this is the place. Charlene is clean and has everything you need. The grounds are lovely and the family who owns the property is very respectful of your privacy. We own a boat and the dock was perfect for our boat, calm water on the bay. Just be prepared, as with many places on Lake George, the road in and out is truly one lane and very little room to pull off if some comes barreling in, for that reason I have take away a star.

A weekend in peaceful paradise

My husband and I along with my best friend and her boyfriend spent a long Memorial Day weekend at Charlene! It was an incredible getaway that left us all feeling to grateful to be able to be on Lake George but not among the tourist side. The family that owns the place were all so welcoming and kind, we felt like we were part of the family! Such a great experience, we can’t wait to come back again!

“Best spot on Lake George”

Our family has stayed in the Charlene “ cabin for a few years!! My son n his girlfriend joined us this year n we loved the cabin, location ,best view in town!!! The Tuttle family has own this beautiful location for generations n it’s just absolutely beautiful no matter what window you look out of!! We believe it’s a piece of “Heaven”!! Our dogs are allowed to come which they love n we can bring our pets with us without worry! The cabin is adorable, the views are spectacular n the family who own this location n their dogs are one beautiful family. Special shout out to ,”Becky “ who is on top of your stay n will do anything to make your stay even better! She is quick to respond to any needs, emails or calls! We love you, Becky n we will see you in 2024!! A must RENT n you decide for yourself!

Cozy, spacious and adorable..

Everything was exactly as described and check in was a breeze. The family who lives in the large house was delightful and very helpful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well stocked. It is conveniently located, just a short ride from Lake George village. The property is simply lovely with beautiful views of the lake and peaceful areas to sit and relax, fish, canoe or read a book. The cottage is a 19th century gem and the property is pet friendly too.

Great Sailing, beautiful Indian Summer and fall foliage

We went boating every day from the private beach, enjoyed fire pits at night and the beautiful fall foliage in a serene, picturesque setting. This is our 5th year renting Charlene and we will be back next year! Becky is a amazing host, she always makes sure that we have everything we need.

Beauty and convenience

Beautiful shared property that is large and varied. Want to hang out on a dock? Want to sit in a gazebo? Want to run around in a yard? Want to sit at picnic point? I could go on. There are so many wonderful spots to enjoy. We often sat on our patio in the morning, drank coffee, read our books and looked out at the lake. Between exploring the property and swimming in the lake, it was a wonderful vacation. This spot is very convenient. It's close to Lake George Village and an easy drive to Bolton Landing if you want to go out. You feel secluded on the property but know you can quickly get out for fun, eating and groceries. Becky and family were great (as well as the pups for my dogs to play with!). Highly recommend this cottage.

The Halcyon estate is family owned and loved. The property was originally purchased in the mid 1800's . The main house was built in 1890 and is still used by the family seven generations later.

The location and lake views from the property are ideal. We are located on a peninsula with a South facing view of Lake George village (perfect viewing for Lake George village fireworks on Thursday nights in the summer); views East and North across the lake to the mountains with great sunrises and moon rises.
