The Charlene cottage is part of the Halcyon estate, a property consisting of 3.5 acres with ~900 feet of private shoreline. It is fully furnished; you only need bring linens. Charlene is steps away from a dock to be used for your swimming, sunning & boat tie-up needs. Also on the property are a sandy beach, picnic tables, gazebo, dock space, fire pit, and sweeping views of the lake. Conveniently located off of Route 9N (Lake Shore Drive), Charlene is just one mile north of Lake George Village with its many restaurants, shops and events.

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Becky’s cottage. The cottage is convenient to the village, but due to its location in the cove it feels private. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming area, dock space and lawn for yard games. Becky and her family were incredibly welcoming and kind. We hope to be back to enjoy this magical property again. Highly recommend!

Came complete with some border collies to welcome us. I enjoyed a few stick throwing sessions. Only problem is that a few parts of the house (entrance to one of the bathrooms, stairs downstairs) can be a little tough to navigate. We were too early in the season to enjoy the water but the boat house looks beautifully equipped.

Perfect week at a perfect spot

Location and cottage were exactly what we were looking for….charm abound! Had a blast exploring the area, as well as spending hours in the water. Great spot for all ages!

Our host Becky and her family were very welcoming. It was a large property for our dog to run. So many beautiful views. Close to everything. Great hiking trails. Cottage had everything we needed.

Great place to stay

This was a wonderful place for our family’s first vacation. It is private but not far from everything. My children loved the grounds and we all had a great time exploring.

Great find!

The lakefront property was truly stunning and the cottage was adorable. The house had everything we needed, and we loved that the house was dog friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice cottage on Lake George

Perfect cottage at the lakes edge with beautiful views, nice dock, fire pit and lovely grounds. We had a great stay with our Bernese Mountain Dog for a local family wedding.

Lovely Lake Vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much. The Charlene cottage is the perfect balance between quaint and modern. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. They were there for anything we needed, but not intrusive. It was a wonderful vacation and we'd love to visit again!

perfect getaway

we had a wonderful stay with my mom. She is 86 and had not been to Lake George in years.. She enjoyed fond memories and great family time on the boat. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The Halcyon estate is family owned and loved. The property was originally purchased in the mid 1800's . The main house was built in 1890 and is still used by the family seven generations later.

The location and lake views from the property are ideal. We are located on a peninsula with a South facing view of Lake George village (perfect viewing for Lake George village fireworks on Thursday nights in the summer); views East and North across the lake to the mountains with great sunrises and moon rises.

We are never too crowded, so there is always a place for you to sit in the sun by the lake or be off to a quiet place.
