Sleeps 10, Great Ocean view condo at Papakea

Great ocean view, our condo is just 95 yards from the ocean.

Spacious 4th floor condo with large loft.

We completely remodeled the condo in March-June 2020. There is an entirely new kitchen, all new appliances, all new flooring, new paint, new beds and mattresses, new vanities. Pretty much everything was replaced except the tubs and toilets (and those will probably be replace in the next year or 2). Both bathroom showers were completely remodeled in 2025 with fresh tile. The entire building got a plumbing upgrade.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: There is a california king in the master, a queen in the 2nd bedroom, 2 bunkbeds upstairs in the loft with doubles on the bottom and twins on top and 2 air mattresses if needed. One of our teenage kids likes sleeping on the lounge chair on the lanai. That adds up to 12 (2 master, 2 2nd bed, 6 bunk beds, 1 on lanai, 1 (or 2) on air mattress(es)), which we don't care if you have that many people there but we advertise sleeps 10 because we feel like it it starts getting too crowded with more than 10. But different folks have different preferences when it comes to this.

Papakea has incredible ambiance, it is just like you hope Hawaii would be like. I can't stress this enough. Everybody seems to love Papakea.

Papakea Resort is truly the spirit of Old Hawaii. With 11 low-rise condo buildings scattered across 13 acres oceanfront acres, the Papakea Resort is one of the lowest density condominium resorts on the island. Unlike many other Maui resorts, it is set well back from the street, but is still conveniently close to grocery stores and restaurants. A convenience store, a full service grocery store, several coffee shops and a number of terrific casual restaurants are all within walking distance. The upscale shopping/restaurant venue of Whaler's Village is only a short 5 minute drive, with the charming village of Lahaina another 5-10 minutes further down the road. A few of the amenities on the property include 2 shuffleboard courts, 2 lighted tennis courts, 2 twelve hole putting greens, 2 pools, 2 whirlpool spas, 12 outdoor grills and 2 beach cabanas.

Our condo can seat 21 people for dinner - dining room table(6), kitchen bar(4), lanai table(6), lanai couch(2) and living room couch(3); but I admit that is a bit tight.

Please note: Papakea Resort charges a $25/day resort fee for the first 10 nights of your stay. This fee, which is collected directly by the front desk at the time of your stay, covers all resort amenities, including parking, wifi internet, cable, 24-hour security, onsite Expedia concierge, all resort amenities and activities - even a weekly mai tai party!
