Papakea K404 - Penthouse with Gorgeous Ocean View!

Welcome to our home at the Papakea Resort, a 13 acre oceanfront resort with a true feeling of aloha. The complex is comprised of two sets of low-rise buildings, each with its own oceanfront pool area including a spa, a covered cabana and multiple gas barbecues. The resort also has two large putting greens, two shuffleboard courts, three lighted tennis courts and a number of beautiful koi ponds.

For those of you who just can't leave work behind, Papakea offers wireless Internet access throughout the resort. When you are ready to relax, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, and great snorkeling and boogie-boarding beaches are within walking distance. In addition, Papakea has its own Activity Desk, staffed by professionals who can help you plan any of the great activities that await you on the island of Maui.

Our oceanview condo on the top floor has been completely remodeled and includes top-of-the-line cabinets, tile, paint, carpet and appliances. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in 1200 square feet of space.

The living area has ample seating, as well as cable TV and a DVD player. The dining table seats six, with additional seating on the ocean view lanai. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The unit also has its own washer and dryer.

The master bedroom has a pillow-top king size bed, plenty of dresser and closet space, and a flat screen TV. It has a full ocean view and its own en suite bathroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, separate vanity area, and a hair dryer. The second bedroom on the main level has a queen and a twin bed, another TV and an adjacent bathroom. The loft overlooking the living area has a queen size bed, and a sitting area with a TV and a DVD player. Great for the kids! All rooms enjoy air conditioning for those rare days when tropical breezes aren't enough.

Tropical magic at Papakea

On our first day, a property owner walked by us and said "don't tell anyone about this place, it's a secret." I get it now. You will love Papakea, and Carol is an excellent, communicative host. We had the best time as a family staying at this condo, and the views really are as shown in photos. The place was so comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed to make our Maui vacation the most memorable one ever.

What a wonderful vacation we had!

My family loved our stay at this beautiful condo! This was our 4th time at Papakea, we love the location and property and cannot say enough about Unit K404 and working with Carol. The views are spectacular and everything about this condo was perfect. First of all it was immaculate upon check-in. It had everything we could possibly need. The best stocked kitchen we have ever had and loved having an ice maker! Carol is an amazing host! Communication of any kind is immediate. She even offered a late check-out if possible… it was and since our flight wasn’t until 6:15 made our last day in Maui so much better. I would recommend this condo to anyone coming to Maui, it is a magical place!!

Wonderful stay at Papakea Resort in Maui

My two friends and I stayed for 6 nights at this lovely property. Carol, the owner was so easy to work with, and assisted with getting us early access to the condo which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well-stocked and everything was super clean. The front desk staff were very helpful and gave us several excellent restaurant recommendations. The grounds were beautiful, very-well kept. We enjoyed the pool and one night there was a complimentary happy hour. The location could not be beat--so close to the sea--wall, allowing you to watch the waves and experience beautiful sunsets. You could walk in just a few minutes to the next resort, and swim at their beach--plus enjoy delicious drinks at their bar. All in all, it was a wonderful stay--oh, and parking was a breeze! Thank you Carol!

Beautiful week at Papakea

My husband and I invited our four grown children to make family memories on Maui. Carol‘s place was amazing! It’s not easy to gather all of your grown children into one place, but it worked out perfectly with plenty of space for everyone and so much to do within walking distance. Everyone had a wonderful time! Thank you, Carol for such a very clean, very well stocked home. We enjoyed every minute. Especially waking up to the waves and the incredible view. A week that will be etched on my heart.

Exactly as described!

It's hard to believe such a beautiful place exists, but it does! Papakea K404 is exactly as it looks in photos, and we were happy with our stay! Also it's within walking distance to a grocery store, so that was a bonus!

Beautiful!

First of all, the property was wonderful with a great location! Phenomenal ocean view and right above the pool which was great for my kids. The property manager was very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. The condo was a good size with plenty of space. Very clean and great water pressure in showers. Walkout to the ocean and just down the road from several beaches, restaurants and stores. Overall very pleased!

Great views and a great time.

This was our family’s first time in Maui, but it definitely won’t be our last. This location was perfect for us. Lots of fun, water sports, golf, and fine dining all close by. Kanapali beach close by had lots of great activities for the family, including some cliff diving for my more adventurous kid. The views from the deck of this condo are like a postcard, especially at sunset. With a view of the pool, we were also able to watch the kids swim and play shuffleboard. We also played pickleball ball and cornhole all on site. I can’t say enough good things about our time a Papakea. Thanks Carol.

Maui slice of heaven!

Our stay was wonderful! And the property was perfect! Our family of four, with two teenage daughters, traveled in early July to celebrate our oldest graduating high school. Each of our daughters brought a friend. All of us enjoyed ourselves! The property had private spaces for each pair and fit the six of us just fine. Not only was the resort beautiful, it had so much to do! From swimming, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, corn hole, and plenty of grass areas for walking, to a convenience store immediately off grounds, you’re sure to find something to do! The property owner was not only communicative, but very accommodating! The unit’s a/c worked nicely, offered multiple smart TVs for watching shows late at night, & wifi to stay connected as needed. A wide variety of Food trucks are also just off the grounds which was super convenient! There were plenty of towels in the unit, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and a washer/dryer as well. View from balcony facing the swimming pool & ocean! Perfect for sipping your morning coffee or evening drink! We really had zero complaints! We would definitely book again! Papakea was lovely & K404 won’t disappoint!

Perfect stay

My family and I just spent 10 days in this wonderful condo. Everything was just as listed. The condo was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The AC in the bedrooms and living area was cold and made our stay very comfortable.The grounds at Papakea are so well manicured and perfect for every families needs. Carol was easy to reach from beginning to end and made sure to check in with us during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Will be dreaming of the view

This was my third time to Maui but first time to Papakea and it did not disappoint. I came with my husband, two kids and mother in law - we had plenty of room to sleep and spread out in this unit. The view from this condo is absolutely breathtaking - morning, day and night. Since Hawaii with children means daily breaks and downtime in between the ocean, pool and adventures, this condo was the perfect place to stay. Why? Because we got to soak in the island vibes and relax while in the kitchen, living room and lanai. We had that Hawaii feel 24 hours a day - priceless! Papakea is very kid and family friendly with two pools, two hot tubs, two koi fish ponds, put put golfing, tennis, shuffleboard, corn hole and more. The property is beautifully situated and landscaped and walking distance to lots of amenities including groceries, coffee, food trucks, a park, shaved ice, restaurants and more. Condo owner Carol was very communicative and helpful and made booking and staying an easy process. We would ABSOLUTELY book her place again and hope to in the near future!! Mahalo!

Breathtaking views

My daughter and I truly enjoyed this wonderful property. Everything was so convenient and close we were able to walk to restaurants grocery store and everything that we needed. The view off the balcony and in the master bedroom is truly amazing. We were able to see some whales right off of the balcony. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the unit was stocked very well. We could not have asked for more.

Loved the condo and property

Had a great time using Carol’s condo for a week. Was very comfortable for 6 of us, including two kids. Great resort. Clean, quiet but many fun activities. Good location. Great Location / Great Unit

We spent 10 days at Papakea resort. Had a great view of the ocean and pool area from our patio. We walked to the nearby beach to watch the sunsets. Beds were comfortable. Unit was super clean. Beach trails and restaurants nearby - within walking distance. Some activities at the resort for the kids (shuffleboard, putt putt golf, pickleball).

Our Favorite So Far!

We’ve stayed in 7 different condos on Maui so far and this was by far our favorite! It was stocked with everything we needed, had very spacious rooms and great AC, amazing WiFi, and the a heated pool (the kids swam in it every morning and every night because it would glow at night!!) we loved this property and Carol was very quick to respond if we had any questions!

Wonderful Stay!

Our stay at the Papakea Penthouse in Maui was spectacular! The breathtaking view of the ocean from the condo (especially the primary guest room and the main living area!) created a serene and memorable experience for our whole family. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves added a touch of paradise to each day. The location was perfect, being next to a store for essentials and only a couple of short blocks from a variety of restaurants offering excellent dining options (and food trucks!). The overall ambiance, attention to detail, and thoughtful amenities made our stay truly wonderful. There were many beach chairs, and even coolers were an excellent added touch. We would unquestionably choose to stay at this property again for its perfect blend of relaxation and convenience, not to mention that the owner and resort managers were accommodating and helpful! We can't wait to go back!

Family vacation

The condo is pictured accurately to reflect the home. The view is beautiful. We enjoyed the tennis courts, mini golf, and shuffle board. The pools are nice and the grounds are well kept. There is no beach (which we knew) but we missed that nonetheless. I would say that the furnishings and contents (towels etc) of the condo could use an update/refresh. We were a family of 4 who stayed 11 days. We had to buy basics such as paper products (toilet paper, napkins, and paper towels) because there was a very limited supply which was disappointing and annoying given the overall cost of the stay. I expect to have enough of those items on site to last the length of our visit. There was also nothing extra such as saran wrap, foil, or even salt/pepper, etc...so, plan to buy all of those things at the store. We also would have liked a coffee bean grinder which they did not have although there is plenty of room in the cabinets for such. Overall, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay, especially the view. However, I would rate this a 3.5 -4 star unit as compared to other places that we have stayed on the Hawaiian islands.

Would highly recommend!

From the moment I booked, Carol was in contact with me. She was extremely helpful and her communication was excellent. The check-in process was easy. The view of the pool and ocean was spectacular. Her condo accommodated my family very easily. The unit was exceptionally clean. There were ample bathroom and beach towels for our use. The air conditioning worked very well. It kept each room cool and comfortable. I would definitely rent her condo again in the future!

Perfect Family Condo

Our stay was amazing. The location was excellent, close to amazing beaches, restaurants, and the view was AMAZING! The owner was incredible, checking on us, especially when the fires started. She even tried to find us alternate accommodations when we had to be evacuated from front street.

We had a wonderful week at Carol's condo. She helped me keep my husband's 75th birthday surprise by communicating directly with me. Both my husband, myself and your 2 adult daughters loved the condo-great view-overlooking the pool, the ocean and the island of Molokai, location-beaches, stores, restaurants, food trucks, snorkeling and close to both Kapalua and Kaanapali, and amenities-beach chairs, coolers, outdoor grills at the pool, Koi pond, walking path, cabana with tables and chairs, outdoor showers, Pickleball, and even a putting green!. Carol was a wealth of information. This was our 3rd stay on Maui and definitely our best!

We always dreamed of having our own home on the island and were lucky enough to find Papakea 20 years ago. Papakea is one of the few remaining resorts on Maui that still maintains the feel of old Hawaii. It's quiet, with beautiful landscaping, plenty of open areas and a magnificent ocean view. We have enjoyed many wonderful vacations here with friends and family over the years.
