The historic home built in 1915 boasts 2,300 sq. ft, with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and an updated kitchen while still maintaining its original character and charm. Located in Baroda’s downtown area, walking distance to wineries, cafes and restaurants including Round Barn Public House. It’s a 5 minute drive to Tabor Hill, Gravity, Dablon, Round Barn and many more wineries.

The space:

The host is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and will have prewritten workouts and necessary equipment available.

Great for Weekend Wine Tasti ng

I have stayed here previously, and it is a great spot for a large group. The four bedrooms allow for privacy for multiple couples. The large dinning room gives plenty of space for eating and playing board games. The locations is a great spot with wineries all around.

We loved staying here! Amazing house and absolutely beautiful!! Mike and Mary were so amazing and decorated the house for the bride as well which is the nicest thing ever!!!

Old charm

We loved everything about House on Hills. From the logo throughout the house to the little extra toiletries and the signs with quotes. We loved it! So clean, fully stocked, and loved how we could walk to town. A few of us had to leave a day early for a family emergency but we for sure want to come back and explore the area more

What a great house

What a great house! So many added little touches to the home that made it more cozy! Celebrated our anniversary and they were so nice to put up decorations. Clean house with so much character. Will book again! ❤️

Birthday celebration!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Perfect location for all the local wineries. We had breakfast at Local which was amazing and right across the road and Round barn brewery is right in the back yard with great food also. The house was adorable, clean, and Mike and Mary even put up cute little decorations for my 40th Birthday celebration. We will definitely come back.

The house was absolutely beautiful. The owners have preserved the original 100+ year old beauty while making it functional to stay in. It was also very clean and in a great location. My family and I will definitely stay here again when we come back up to visit SW Michigan. 10000/10 experience!!

Weekend Getaway

This house is so beautiful and decorated so nicely. You pretty much have everything you can think of. Plenty of space and close to all the wineries. Walkable breakfast spot and walkable to the round barn brewery. Great home!

The cutest house ever

Loved our stay at The House on the Hill - everything in this home is so well thought out and nicely decorated. Great location to wineries and other areas to visit. The hosts were extremely receptive and so easy to work with. They gave us ideas and recommendations of places to go with our family. Highly recommend !!!

Beautiful home

Beautiful home and great location. Walking distance to several restaurants. Enjoyed my stay. The home was nicely decorated and very clean. I have no complaints, very satisfied with selection. Would highly recommend to others.

Perfect house for girls weekend in Michigan wine county!!

We loved our stay at the house on the hill. The homes was absolutely beautiful. From the beautiful furnishings, the amazing character of the home to the little details like personalized welcome note from our host. Our host thought of everything. The location is so convenient to walk to restaurants and tasting rooms in town and within in 5 mins to all the other local wineries. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back!

Lots of love has gone into this house…

From the decor to all the amenities, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect house! It’s in walking distance to several of the wine tasting rooms! We had the best cauliflower crust pizza I have ever had at the Red Barn Public House! Mike and Mary were amazing hosts and the house was immaculate! We really enjoyed our girl’s weekend and hope to be back soon!

You must stay here!

We absolutely loved our stay! There were 4 adult couples staying at the house and there was plenty of room for all of us! We cooked in each night and the kitchen and grill had everything we needed for our meals. The house is so adorable the owners have added so many cute details. We use VRBO often and this by far is one of our favorites! The house is so close to many things .. we did not have to drive to anywhere!

Girls Weekend💜

We had a group of 8 for a girls weekend! The House on Hills was perfect for our get together! The house was beautifully decorated and had such a homey feel. The personal touches that greeted us on entry were appreciated. The owners thought of everything and were super responsive to questions. Location was perfect... we walked to the wineries and had a short drive to St. Joe for some shopping. We would highly recommend the House on Hills for a weekend get away!

Beautiful home and wonderful owners!

We enjoyed a girls birthday getaway weekend in this beautiful home! The home had great character, was clean, and had many special touches throughout the home to make our group feel welcome and comfortable. But the true highlight were the owners of this home. When a question arose, they were very quick to respond, have the question addressed promptly, and were incredibly kind and gracious. They went above and beyond to make sure we were ok. Highly recommend this beautiful home to explore a great part of Michigan!

Wedding trip

We recently stayed at the House on Hills Street as a party of 10. We were in the area for my son's wedding at Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn which was only about 15-17 minutes away. The house is beautiful, a restored Craftsman Style home. Everyone had comfortable sleeping accomodations, and with two bathrooms available we were able to get ready in a timely manner. We loved the fire pit. It made the evening before the wedding very fun and reminiscent of the camping trips we used to take when my kids were younger. We really enjoyed our stay at the house on Hills Rd and I would recommend renting it for your next trip with a large group. The hosts made it very special by leaving a small wedding gift for my son and and new daughter..Thank you Mike and Mary.

House On the Hill has Charm

This home has a special charm to it. Beautiful stained glass, vintage sinks and doors, plus all the added decor really makes the home have character. The owners do an amazing job to assure you have what you need. Beds are comfortable and the location is perfect for walking to downtown Baroda or a quick drive to apple picking and vineyards. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed at the house on hills to celebrate my 35th birthday. The house was everything and more. We had such a great stay, the house is beautiful and clean. Everything you could ever need is there. Location was great for wine tasting. We really hope to come back one day. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

We have visited Baroda for the past 10 years. Coming up to wineries regularly and becoming wine members to some of our favorites (Round Barn and St. Julian) we quickly fell in love with area and the memories we have made over the years. When an opportunity came up for us to spend even more time in the area we love, we had to jump on it.
The reason for hosting on VRBO is to let others experience what we did so many years ago, in a safe and gorgeous historic home.
