Situated in a quiet cul de sac near to the banks of the river Coquet in the heart of the picturesque town of Rothbury, Maltings cottage is a very cosy, comfortable and well equipped home from which to explore the many visitor attractions in Northumberland, Tyneside and the Borders. Many country walks and cycle tracks lead from the village . Fully enclosed secure patio area and on site car parking .

Half Term break

Lovely property, very clean and tidy. In a beautiful location - having good weather helped too, with access to local shops. The cottage is very well presented and very comfortable. Tea, coffee and milk was very well received after a long journey. Nick was very helpful with his correspondence. Thank you for a lovely stay, hope to come again.

Lovely Property

The property was great - much better than expected for the price, well equipped, clean and cosy. Great village location and Rothbury is lovely - friendly people, good pubs, lots of independant shops and easy to walk dogs from the house. About half an hour from the coast. Too many places to visit so we are coming back next year! Thanks Nick!

Excellent accommodation convenient location

We all enjoyed our short half term break and this accommodation was excellent. The booking process was first class, owner giving us all information regarding property. There was everything needed inside the cottage with a comprehensive library of places to visit, local walks and restaurants etc. So convenient for shops and a good starting point for beautiful local walks. Would definitely recommend

Born and bred in the coquet valley, we have lived in and around Rothbury all our lives; having no desire to move away from this beautiful village, countryside and county of Northumberland.

Having managed this property on behalf of the previous owner for a number of years, we decided to purchase when it came on the market. Comfortable and cosy 3 bed house (sleeps 5), car parking and pet friendly, centrally located within easy walking distance to all shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and to all village facilities. We hope to continue providing the high quality standards of this holiday home and also receive the same great reviews as the previous ownership.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Access to fabulous hill walking and cycling routes from the house; and within easy driving distance to many more walks and trails. The National Trust properties of the magnificent Cragside House and Estate is just outside the village and Wallington Hall a few miles away. Within 20 mile from coast and miles of sandy beaches, the fantastic Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles and many other castles are all within easy reach as is the Roman Wall, Kielder Reservoir and Observatory, the Farne Islands, Holy Island, the Scottish Borders and the city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
Regular bus service to the market towns of Morpeth and Alnwick, and Newcastle city centre only a short walk away.
