Tahoe Donner is a great area for families or groups looking to get away from it all without being out of touch. You are only a short drive (25-30 mins) to some of the world's best skiing, including Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley), and Northstar. You are also close (10 mins) to downtown Truckee, a bustling little mountain town with some of the best restaurants and shopping Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Guests will have access to the entire home during their stay besides a few locked owner's closets. There is space for 2 cars.

The home is located 10 minutes from downtown Truckee, approximately 20 minutes from Northstar Ski Resort and about 3 hours from San Francisco. Lake Tahoe is a quick 20-25 minute drive. Other ski resorts, such as Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw and Alpine Meadows) are very close as well! The opportunities are endless! Lyft, Uber, and Taxis operate in the greater Truckee area.

One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness for your convenience, it seems that nature is working against us. You may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. The dust and pollen accumulate within a matter of hours.


Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try and accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.
