Excellent place

This place was the ideal mountain ski home -- great indoor space, wonderful location, perfect communication with host. Would absolutely stay again and recommend.

Bob’s house was spacious, comfortable, and felt like a real home. There was plenty of space for our family, and the spacious and natural backyard was perfect for sledding and snow play.

Beautiful house - enjoyed a lot. Close to everything, nice rooms and fantastic coming area with fireplace and tv loft. Used kitchen- has everything needed.

Wonderful, comfortable, cozy home

The house was perfect for our snow vacation. Great house for kids with sledding in the yard. We loved it and would rent the house again!

My family enjoyed our stay here as we attended the Alpine State Championships that were held at Sugar Bowl resort. The kitchen was well equipped to accommodate a great breakfast and dinner each day. A few times I messaged Bob with questions he was very responsive and helpful. My grandkids enjoyed playing in the snow behind the house.

Spacious home with lots of space to relax. Kitchen is well stocked. Backyard has a nice hill for sledding with the kids. Only hiccup was that the TV was broken so we were unable to binge on Netflix like we were planning.

Apologies for the TV. Not sure what happened during your stay, as the 64" Plasma TV is still working fine.

Great cabin for family get away

We had a great experience and would definitely stay again. Two families with young children stayed at this cabin. Location is excellent in proximity to Tahoe Donor downhill ski and the snowplay park. Great sledding just behind the cabin. Very clean and accurately presented. Also owner was very nice and responsive. Would definitely book again!

Can’t wait to come back!

Hansel Haven was the absolute perfect home for our family getaway! Clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Our kids didn’t want to leave and neither did we! The owners are such kind people and very responsive. We would absolutely return to Hansel Haven in the future. What a lovely home! Thank you for having us!

Our host, Bob, pro-actively checked in with me a few times before and during our stay to make sure everything went smoothly. I especially appreciated that he offered to snowblow the driveway early the day we expected to depart after a big storm hit overnight. We ended up leaving the night before to avoid the risk of highway closure, but the offer was appreciated.Be warned, the driveway is legitimately steep.

The house is really comfortable and prepared with everything you need to relax, sleep well, enjoy a fire and cook a meal together. We loved the big screen for movie-watching and the sledding hill. The leather couches are so comfy and the bed I was lucky to sleep in --the master -- was SO comfortable. Guests seemed happy downstairs. Definitely was warm and cozy in fact a little too warm and I should have asked about how to turn heat down a bit. Overall, a great stay and very convenient location, could walk to minimart in 10 minutes. Don't overlook the free transit using the TART system rideshare app.

First Class Stay

We had a nice stay! Beautiful all around with nice, detailed decor, and great communication. Only thing- had to buy a blow dryer! Old style, cabinet feel. Quite opposite to the modern style we have at our more modest home in the East Bay :).

Awesome Mountain Retreat!

Excellent choice in Tahoe Donner. Listing is exactly as advertised. Very warm and welcoming 3 story cabin with amazing mountain views. Well equipped kitchen and the movie room is a nice feature for family time/movie night. Hiking trails right outside you door and access to rec facilities, golf and Donner Lake. Would certainly recommend this property for a perfect getaway, if you are looking for peace and quite in the mountains in a beautiful home.

Fantastic Stay

We took the kids to the snow, and didn’t even have to leave the property because there was so much snow in the backyard! The place was actually better than what the pictures showed and fully stocked in the kitchen for everything we needed. Plenty of room and space! The owner texted us shortly before arrival to let us know that the cabin was clean and warmed for us, which I was really impressed by. He also kept getting a notification about the heater having issues, which he was so accommodating on between offering to try and fix or allowing us to use the space heaters that were available in every room. Overall a fantastic stay and experience!!

We stayed over Christmas and it was very nice. Bob even put up Christmas decorations! Thanks.

The kitchen was fully stocked with all the tools you need to cook family meals. We had a great time playing in the snow in back of the house. We had a little problem negativing the driveway because we didn't have an all-wheel-drive car and the driveway got a little icy. But this is our problem, not Bob :).

The owner is terrific - easy to contact and work with. We very much enjoyed our stay. Well appointed kitchen with decent knives! For those who like to cook that’s a huge win! The views off the back deck were incredible. Great for 2 or 3 families. Plenty of space. Will be back.

Tahoe Fun!

Two families stayed at this property and the layout was perfect and worked really well for all of us! Bob was very responsive to all my questions, and the house had everything we needed. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed for making big dinners. The ability to extend the dining table was awesome for our big party! And of course the kids had a blast building a snowman and sledding out the back of the house! It was the perfect weekend! Thanks Bob!

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Hansel Haven! The cabin is spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. There is skiing close by and the backyard had is awesome for snow play. At night we watched movies and played board games in the spacious loft. The host was very accommodating and communicative both before and during our stay.
