Gnarly Bear Cabin sleeps 12 in three themed bedrooms and a bunk room. Newly added hot tub! Find solitude in a quiet golf course community only 20 miles from the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy the authentic cabin experience when renting this full log cabin! The open main level has a gas fireplace in the living room, dining space for 12, a well-equipped kitchen for the chefs in the bunch, 2 bedrooms, and a full bath. Master suite upstairs on one side, and the bunk room upstairs on the other.



The Space:

Newly added hot tub. Beautiful full log cabin! Nice open floor plan with a bunk room above the attached garage for the young ones. Fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, Fire Pit, Horse Shoe Pit, and Wi-Fi.



Guest Access:

You’ll be provided a door code with your arrival information.



The Neighborhood:

Resort style on a golf course. All recreational photos are offsite, and at guests expense.

Nice quiet neighborhood and very little traffic. House was clean both inside and outside. Would recommend it to anyone that would want to stay in Island Park.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The home was very clean and well maintained, with plenty of blankets, sheets and towels. The arrangement was perfect for our group of 7, with 3 individual bedrooms and a bunk room with 4 beds (for the boys). Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay about a half hour west of Yellowstone.

Fun place to stay.

I would recommend this to friends. The home was clean and well stocked. We had an issue with the gas fireplace and they were there quickly to fix it. Very responsive.

Family Fishing Trip

We used the Island Park house as our main residence as we fly fished the local lakes and rivers. The house was perfect as we traveled to several local lakes and rivers . There was 7 of us and plenty of room to sleep, BBQ, fix meals and socialize. The house is well maintained and well cared for. The home is close to local stores and restaurants . We even got in a round of golf at the Island park golf course.

Beautiful cabin loved it but needed deep cleaning including new towels and sheets.

Beautiful cabin, yet im very clean and carpets and floors did not seem that clean. Also we wanted fresh air and not one window opened.. Towels smelled old and misty not fresh. I did like the cabin. Im just ocd when it comes to renting other places besides my own home.

Thank you for your review and your booking. The windows are wooden and do take a little extra strength to open but they do open. We’ll try and get someone over to take a look at them. We apologize about the towels. The floors we will have shampooed as soon as we have a few days in between guests. Thanks again for the review and staying with us.

Island Park

We had a great time! The cabin was a bit hot and one of the fans didn't work. The windows were hard to open and shut. The mattress' on the beds were a bit old. We did fill up the garbage and asked it to be emptied so we could put more garbage in the bear proof container. That was done promptly. Some of the instructions weren't exactly clear. One email said to leave garbage outside the garbage can and another said to call the property management. Same confusion with where to leave towels. In the bathroom on in front of the washer?!!!

PERFECT GETAWAY!!

My husband actually built this log cabin 36 years ago!💖 We were thrilled we were able to rent it on VRBO all these years later...My husband passed away in 2020 from Covid...so this was so special for me and my children and grandchildren to stay in this cabin...Everything has been so well maintained and updated.. it was fun to reminisce when our kids were just little...and now to make more memories with their kids... There was 12 of us and plenty of room...especially loved the big room above the garage with lots of beds for the kids to hang out and play... nice big dining room table with plenty of room for all...well stocked kitchen..and towels...loved the decor throughout the home... nice quiet neighborhood... Thanks for a very special memorable time!!! ❤️ ✨️

Very nice cabin, lots of room to spread out! The location is great and the area has much to offer. Close to Yellowstone national park. Henrys lake and Island park.

Holiday cabin base for exploring yellowstone

The cabin was our base to explore Yellowstone for 4 days. A great place away from the bustle of West Yellowstone yet close enough to the park. A quite neighborhood with amazing views of two top mountain. The place is a bit old and we had trouble on the first day with the heat but the property manager was prompt and helped fix the issue. Overall a good experience and would stay here again.

Bear review

The setting was nice, quiet neighborhood with significant amount of renters, the location was excellent, the home was nice for our needs. Windows in this home need significant work - many do not lock and counterweights are non-functional, had to prop open with cups. We did not leave items of value in the house, felt it safer to leave in vehicles, front door had obviously been damaged from the broken jam. Beds are pretty saggy and lights in the first floor rooms are very dim. The gas grill was too small to cook for 6 hungry fishermen. Are there opportunities, yes, but nothing insurmountable. I would rent again, the owners were very responsive. Thank you for the addition of the AC unit.
