This Cabin is situated in the heart of moose country Alaska! Enjoy the sights and create lasting memories as wild moose dine on local vegetation on and around the property during your stay. Located at a short and beautiful 1.7 mile walk from the Kenai Peninsula Fair Grounds where the Salmonfest and Kenai Peninsula Fair are held each summer. This Cabin has a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker (coffee, cups and creamer provided) and linens, everything necessary for you to enjoy your stay outdoors in the Wild Last Frontier! Wash-house and laundry - included at no cost. Fish cleaning station included at no cost. Vacuum packing and shipping available at local fish packing business in town.

Thanks so much for a great stay! There was some issue with how clean the cabin was but still appreciate the overall experience. I think it's more for families without children though for sure.

Our first time in a cabin and it was awesome. The cabin is clean and had all that you need. The staff and management was excellent. I recommended this cabin at anytime. Thank you.

Just what you need for your perfect Alaskan stop over

Just what you need for your perfect Alaskan stop over. It was tucked away in a private location, and exactly what you would think of as an Alaskan fishing cabin. They had everything we needed. Hot showers, clean, free laundry. We had two adults and four kids, and it was perfect. The host was great. We really enjoyed our time there, and I would definitely recommend this as a place to stop along your Alaskan adventure.

Cute Cabin

We stayed in the bear cabin and it was tiny but really cute. We were all able to sleep comfy with how many beds there were. There isn’t a sink in the cabin only the sink in the bathroom which is across from the cabin. Super quiet area though, would definitely come again. Thanks for having us.

Waterless cabin

The property was clean, well organized and pretty. We had moose at night. However, as millennia of our ancestors had discovered, running water and inside toilets are almost indispensable. We had heat, beds but lacked all but a microwave and coffee pot. It was hard to stumble outside, climb stairs without railings to pee at night.

Nice place with a very compact efficient layout.

No complaints, we are life long Alaskans and really enjoy the cabin life so this was comparatively luxurious to what our accommodations would regularly be. Six bunks in a 14x16 ish space but just right with the large common area and shower/bathroom facility.

Bear Cabin

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. I also liked that the hosts were responsive. My only suggestion is a black out curtain for the door window. Overall, great stay! Thank you

Frank and Daniel are a father and son. They have always loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors since they were both young. 20 years ago when they first visited Alaska, they fell in love with it. Today's outdoors is not like it was 40+ years ago. The closest you can get to those days are in Alaska. Frank and Daniel would like to have others enjoy Alaska, it's beauty, it's frontier and the overall Alaskan experience.

Wildman Getaway is close enough to enjoy all the fun Alaska has to offer yet secluded enough (about a mile away from Ninilchik city) to enjoy the quiet, wildlife and ambiance of wild Alaska. We can also recommend some of the best charter fishing available (June through August is the busy time of year so schedule early), right out of Ninilchik.
Wildman Getaway is nestled in the middle of moose country, you will surely see some wildlife while you are here.
Wildman Getaway offers a larger cabin, two studio dry cabins, RV hookups, tent camping sites a bathhouse, fish cleaning station and more. The larger cabin comes complete with a kitchen, bath, loft, and room to sleep 5.

Wildman Getaway is centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula between Soldotna/Kenai, AK (39 miles to the North) with the Kenai River (best salmon fishing river in the world) and Homer, AK (37 miles to the South and best Halibut fishing in the world). It is next to Deep Creek river which has great Coho and trout fishing as well.
Pacific razor clams[12] are popular for digging on the beaches near Ninilchik, when the tides are low enough. CLAMMERS SHOULD CHECK REGULATIONS BEFORE DIGGING.
Ninilchik is a great gateway to all of the recreational opportunities and natural beauty of the southern Kenai Peninsula. There is plenty to love here starting with the stunning scenery and old village charm of one of the Kenai Peninsula’s oldest communities. It is also the host community for the annual Kenai Peninsula Fair and the annual Salmonfest Alaska (formerly Salmonstock) Music Festival which only a short walk of 1.7 miles away.
