This Cabin is situated in the heart of moose country Alaska! Enjoy the sights and create lasting memories as wild moose dine on local vegetation on and around the property during your stay. Located at a short and beautiful 1.7 mile walk from the Kenai Peninsula Fair Grounds where the Salmonfest and Kenai Peninsula Fair are held each summer. This Cabin has a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker (coffee, cups and creamer provided) and linens, everything necessary for you to enjoy your stay outdoors in the Wild Last Frontier! Wash-house and laundry - included at no cost. Fish cleaning station included at no cost. Vacuum packing and shipping available at local fish packing business in town.

Awesome little cabin

My cousins and i had the absolute best experience here. Location is beautiful and the hosts were top notch and easy to communicate with. I'd definitely stay here again.

Wonderful cabin great area

My cousins and I had the best time here. Dan and Frank are fantastic hosts. The property is stunning and super close to the fairgrounds and markets and gas station.

Wonderful stay

The cabin was very clean and nicely situated in a quiet neighborhood. All the amenities you could ask for provided in the cabin. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had an amazing stay. The hospitality of Danny and Frank was excellent. We were able to fish, sight see, and most of all relax and enjoy the beauty of Alaska

It was a great place to stay off the grid, but I was charged $150 after the fact of the day after I

It was a great place to stay off the grid, but I will never stay there again. I was accused of smoking inside of my room and they had to scrub the walls the cabinets, etc Dot I never smoked in that room one time and my credit card was charged $150 so no I will never stay there again ever and the owner will not even contact me back to resolve this situation.

A surprisingly comfortable & spacious cabin, located pretty conveniently a few minutes from the highway. The available shower/laundry on-site is definitely a bonus worth considering. Can be a little cramped for bigger/taller people or large groups, though there is a larger cabin available for those who need it

This place was very cozy, I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities like flat ware and paper dishes. The shower house is GREAT to have access to after a long day of fishing. 10/10 would recommend

Frank and Daniel are a father and son. They have always loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors since they were both young. 20 years ago when they first visited Alaska, they fell in love with it. Today's outdoors is not like it was 40+ years ago. The closest you can get to those days are in Alaska. Frank and Daniel would like to have others enjoy Alaska, it's beauty, it's frontier and the overall Alaskan experience.

Wildman Getaway is close enough to enjoy all the fun Alaska has to offer yet secluded enough (about a mile away from Ninilchik city) to enjoy the quiet, wildlife and ambiance of wild Alaska. We can also recommend some of the best charter fishing available (June through August is the busy time of year so schedule early), right out of Ninilchik.
Wildman Getaway is nestled in the middle of moose country, you will surely see some wildlife while you are here.
Wildman Getaway offers a larger cabin, two studio dry cabins, RV hookups, tent camping sites a bathhouse, fish cleaning station and more. The larger cabin comes complete with a kitchen, bath, loft, and room to sleep 5.

Wildman Getaway is centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula between Soldotna/Kenai, AK (39 miles to the North) with the Kenai River (best salmon fishing river in the world) and Homer, AK (37 miles to the South and best Halibut fishing in the world). It is next to Deep Creek river which has great Coho and trout fishing as well.
Pacific razor clams[12] are popular for digging on the beaches near Ninilchik, when the tides are low enough. CLAMMERS SHOULD CHECK REGULATIONS BEFORE DIGGING.
Ninilchik is a great gateway to all of the recreational opportunities and natural beauty of the southern Kenai Peninsula. There is plenty to love here starting with the stunning scenery and old village charm of one of the Kenai Peninsula’s oldest communities. It is also the host community for the annual Kenai Peninsula Fair and the annual Salmonfest Alaska (formerly Salmonstock) Music Festival which only a short walk of 1.7 miles away.
