Heavenly View Lodge offers some of the most breathtaking mountain views in the north Georgia Mountains and a perfect place to sip coffee and watch the sunrise on one of the 3 porches. With 3 stories and a bedroom and bath on each floor, this log home is perfect for couples. 2 of the bedrooms are king bedrooms with TV's and the patio level bedroom has a queen bed. Each floor has its own bathroom. The cabin also offers: Fenced yard-dog friendly, firepit, gas log fireplace, HOT TUB, large porches, ping pong and foos ball. Pack and play and high chair available at cabin.

This cabin is accessed by private mountain roads that aren’t county-maintained. For the smoothest arrival, and for preservation of the roadway, the Road Committee recommends 4-Wheel Drive, with All-Wheel Drive as a minimum.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. Annual Escape! We love this cabin!

Amazing Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What an amazing stay.... though way too short. We arrived to the most beautiful views I have ever seen. The drive was great just up a gravel road that really made you feel as if you were away from it all. The owners though of everything and we loved the separation of sleeping areas. Everything was spotless and our dog loved the fenced yard. It was nice to get away from the summer heat at home. We will definitely return to this cabin.

Needed a Break

This cabin was fantastic. The check in process was easy. The location is perfect for solitude yet not to far from everything you need or want to do. We brought our two dogs and the cabin was perfect for them. It has a small fenced in area so they can be outside as much as they like would definitely stay here again

Fantastic views!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the cabin and views. Comfortable cabin inside. We would have liked a dining table outside, and more comfortable (lounging type) outside on the main level, and a puzzle table (we ended up using the ping pong table, not ideal). However, kitchen well stocked, grill was great, views fantastic. Sometimes neighbors (cabin rentals) were a bit too loud and annoying, so retreated inside. Close proximity to many trails, waterfalls, and small towns. The fenced in yard was great for our pups, just pretty steep for our older dog, but a great amenity. Plenty of wildlife to see, even a black bear! Road up to the cabin was pretty bumpy and some areas pretty steep. Need AWD/4WD, or very experience FWD driver. We don't mind the bumpy roads, but others might.

Gorgeous view

The best view off any of the three decks! We enjoyed cooking and just relaxing at the cabin all weekend! A short drive to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We hope to come back again!

Beautiful getaway

Cabin was spotless and there were dog treats, dog toys, aromatic coffee beans, and easy listening music to greet us. Staff was excellent, well organized. Will be back for sure!

Very Remote

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin itself is wonderful, with an expansive view. Unfortunately, when you reserve via Sliding Rock Cabins, the address/location isn't identified, so we had no way of knowing how remote this cabin is. It's very far from both Ellijay and Blue Ridge -- both about 25 - 30 mins away, and 2 1/2 miles up steep muddy roads.

Reviewer Comments: Having used Sliding Rock Cabins as the go-to company for cabin rentals for a number of years, we have stayed in several of their managed units over the years. All have been good. Wildcat Watch is clearly the best of best. Well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and with a magnificent view. Cabin access is easy. The dogs had direct access to the fenced yard. Being near the road's end, it was quiet and situated on a lot that maximized privacy. All considered, that is why we feel Wildcat Watch to be one of the best in the area.

Quiet Breathtakingly Beautiful Views with a way to Inspire

Amazing and awe-inspiring views morning, noon and night. A way to reconnect to nature and life. The drive up to the cabin was twisty and steep, so be ready and prepared. Other than that the roads are great for walking. The cabin has multiple sleep options and the dogs loved the fenced in yard and gated decks for lounging. Kitchen is great for cooking family meals. Once you arrive you never have to leave as the cabin provides everything you could need from relaxing and entertainment to spending quality wine with family and friends.

Stunning Mountain Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you book this cabin, you really need a 4WD or AWD car/SUV. It's 3 miles up a gravel, rutted road, and steep road. But well worth the trip up for the stunning views. BTW, do your food shopping first before making the trek up! This cabin was spotless, the beds extremely comfortable. Hot tub and ping pong table got lots of use. We took day trips to hike in places like Amicalola Falls, Fort Mountain State Park, Blue Ridge, & Helen GA. My only recommendation would be to update the porch chairs and definitely fix up that firepit area. If you want peace and quiet in a comfortable cabin, this is the spot!

Second visit & won't be our last!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time staying at a SRC Property. The first time was in the fall and this time we went in summer. We went back the second time because we really treasured the first experience. The solitude, privacy, and natural beauty are what we treasure most and why we look forward to a 3rd stay. We also like that there are so many properties to choose from so our plan is to visit as many as possible because they all seem to have their unique benefits. We are the type that looks to completely unwind and relax while we are there, so we stop at the grocery store on the way in and basically, don't get back in the car until checkout. We take long walks with the dog, grill up dinner or cook on the campfire, play games, relax in the hot tub, listen to the sounds of nature and otherwise just do a lot of "nothing". Sliding Rock Cabins does a great job of making us feel comfortably disconnected.

Views for days

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin had one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen! The drive up was defiantly steep and bumpy but we were prepared for that based on the driving instructions. This cabin had a huge main deck overlooking the mountains, as well as a smaller upstairs patio and lower level deck. The cabin was beautifully decorated and made us feel like we were right at home. We were so thankful to be able to bring our fur babies with us, they loved the fresh air and spent a great deal of time on walks around the mountain. The only thing I wish this cabin had was a little flatter yard ( it was mainly on a hill, but none the less we were so grateful to have a fenced yard) and also we wish the deck had some kind of netting along rails ( maybe it was just our dogs but we brought them some balls to play with which are their favorite, but they kept slipping under the rail and we would have to trek down the hill to find them. Such a minor thing but would be nice) We spent most mornings and evening soaking in the scenery in the hot tub, and relaxing. I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin!

Disappointed to say the least.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The owner is clearly not putting any money into this rental. Dark outdated lighting, no soundproofing, mishmash of everything. Appliances like toaster don’t work. Griddle missing a drip tray. Sheets get cleaned but told to leave the shams and comforters....when do those get cleaned???? The couches were uncomfortable, the basement smelled awful. Rules up the Ying Yang. Big negative, zero outside dining space. Jacuzzi broke. Grill is terrible, temp gauge is broken, loved cooking in the dark, not! Impossible! Literally no response from the management. Would I go back? **** no. I cleaned the place better than we arrived. Most blinds broken and don’t work. Outdated. Never again. Gorgeous view though. Sad, could be a gem. Oh also, thanks for saying the driveway is easy...you gotta be kidding. Take the money and run.

Cloud Watcher's Dream Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me begin by saying this is an extensive review and I would recommend staying at Wildcat Watch. This quiet cabin is perfect for porch sitting to watch changes in the light and sky over the valleys all the way to the next ridge of multiple peaks. Bring binoculars for bird watching as well. We heard and caught a glimpse of bear and cub traipsing through the woody area below the cabin the first morning. We spent our last evening watching fireflies and bats come out while tracking a distant rain storm moving parallel to us. The ping pong table was good quality and enjoyable. The kitchen was the very well equipped complete with a large electric griddle. The gas grill was large and of good quality. The beds were quite comfortable and linens were excellent quality. The bathrooms did not supply bath soap or shampoo. During the night our last night a rain storm came through and knocked power out for about 2 hours. It was long enough for it to warm up enough to make it hard to sleep. Being a resident of a similar environment this is to be expected so a generator is the norm but lacking here.The major downside was an unusable internet. The download speed was too slow for streaming (we got by with a 2 bar ATT 4G cell reception used as a hotspot) and the phone voice quality was barely understandable. The kitchen had little storage space for provisions and was tight on prep space. Other minor but annoying issues that can be taken care of by being pointed out: the icemaker was blocked upon arrival so we didn't have ice for a while, the toaster was defective, the main floor bath showerhead high pressure selector didn’t work. The main floor bedroom had one blind that was partially open but had a broken mechanism that allows you to adjust the slats. Not great if you want to sleep late. Overall our 3 night stay was very enjoyable and a welcome respite from the daily grind. We would stay here again.
