This historic country English cottage was designed by the noted NW archetect Richard Sundeleaf. With a lovely view of Lake Oswego and walking distance to the center of town, it has all the old world charm of an English cottage with the comforts of updated bathrooms and fully cook ready kitchen. Sitting on a half acre of property you will feel that you are in the country while only minutes away from outstanding restaurants. Note:
the train runs along the back of the property 4 times a day.

I found Mary and Jim’s property to be a quaint and charming English cottage. It felt as if someone plopped it down in the midst of the forest as if it were a tree house. It is ideally located a short drive from Avenue A shopping and a fantastic farmer’s market on Saturday mornings.

This beautiful English cottage is even more charming in person. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever stayed in, not only did it have all the usual essentials, there was also a crock pot, blender, two colanders, water filter, etc. Every time I opened a new drawer, I was positively surprised. The view of the lake was lovely and it was so serene sitting on the patio, sipping coffee in the morning enjoying the view. For an older home, the master bath was very updated and had two sinks, shower, bidet and clawfoot tub. Our grandkids could enjoy the small bedroom off the master, which made it perfect for us.The location is minutes to the main downtown area and Mary (home owner) gave us several dining suggestions.We invited Mary for a visit and we had shared with her our grands called the home the "Harry Potter House." Mary arrives with a witches hat, which shows her delightful and colorful personality.We can't wait to go back again next summer.

Home and location were perfect! Loved walking to the Saturday market and all the restaurants in the city center. Loved looking at the lake from the back yard too. Perfect

Beautiful house we have stayed in repeatedly

Our daughter is in school nearby so we have stayed in this beautiful house numerous times. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we go to Portland. Wonderful house in a lovely area.

Charming, warm home

We have stayed here several times and find it a lovely, beautifully decorated, well stocked home. The neighborhood is walkable and close to a center with many shops and restaurants.

First visit to Lake Oswego

This lovely property was exactly as described and more! Cozy, elegant home in the perfect location, walkable to restaurants, stores and local farmers market. Very relaxing with everything we needed, as if we were guests in someone’s home as opposed to a rental. We will definitely return! Loved it. So many fun walking trails too.

Excellent property

The house was amazing, decorated beautifully, and very well equipped.. A big plus is the lovely patio with a wonderful view.. A great place to sip your coffee in the morning. Would love to return.

Amazing property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this English cottage. The architecture and the eclectic furnishings are amazing. The house was well stocked and very clean. Mary is a gracious host and recommended excellent restaurants in town and points of interest. The view of the lake from the house is something everyone should experience. Lake Oswego is a great and friendly community. We celebrated my wife’s birthday with our kids and everyone loved our stay. I highly recommend this property.

Home Away From Home

It was a very comfortable home and had all that we needed to host Thanksgiving dinner for our families, couldn't of been better, really enjoyed our stay there, it was our home away from home and we'll be back next year. Thank you

Delightful stay!

We stayed here for a month while closing on and moving in to our new home nearby. It was such a peaceful place to have while we navigated the chaos of moving. We were actually quite sad to leave! The photos just do not do it enough justice! We felt like we were staying in a friends home; everything was just as one could want and need and so peaceful. A beautiful half mile walk in to the center of town. Highly recommend!

Communication was great. Home is unique and described perfectly. Cottage on the lake. view is breathtaking and you could easily get used to waking up every morning to the view. Close to downtown Portland but feels like a different state. Highly recommend. Kitchen is fully stocked. Perfect location.

been the President of LO Rotary and is currently President of the Oswego Heritage Council. Her family lives walking distance from her home. She is a truly welcoming hostess who enjoys people, travel, and great food. She can offer many suggestions of great places and things to do while visiting the Lake Oswego and the Portland area.

The cottage home is much loved and has been put on the historic register of the City.
