This was the perfect property for my family with young children. Felt like a great value considering the quality of the home, the property, privacy, and location. Augustin was highly communicative and responsive prior to and throughout the entire stay. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

Excellent service, the view of Arenal was unreal. We loved sitting outside watching the hummingbirds. The hosts were so helpful, our daughter got sick the first night and in the morning they sent the cleaners in. We really appreciate everything, what a great relaxing place!

We had a wonderful stay at this very private, peaceful property that made us feel immersed in nature. Waking up to the sounds of birds and wildlife each morning was a treat. Despite the secluded feel, it was just a walk or short drive to a few great restaurants and a small grocery store—an ideal balance of remoteness and convenience. We’d gladly return.

Incredible house with the most stunning views! We loved our time here. We ignored their suggestion to get a 4x4 which was unwise - if it’s rainy, you definitely want to get a 4x4 for the road up!

Beautiful views!

This was a great spot for viewing the volcano, hiking La Fortuna Falls and going to Sky Adventures. The local restaurants made delicious food and everyone was kind, friendly and helpful!

Loved the house and the staff

We had a wonderful time and loved the views and the house/accommodations. The staff from check in to housekeeping was outstanding. We just wish the pool was warmer.

Volcano and Lake view with constant wildlife

Incredible setting and a very nice place. The view of Lake Arenal and volcano are truly wonderful especially since they are constantly accented by hummingbirds, toucan's, tanagers and countless other colorful critters. It was nice having restaurants and shops close by.attractions is wonder

Sweet retreat

Perfect for our group. The view was spectacular and rooms were great. Could use a little more light in the kitchen area would be my only suggestion. Great hosts and had massages up at the house. Unforgettable experience.

Gorgeous!!

We didn’t want to leave the property; it was beautiful! El Castillo is a little far from the main tourist attractions in the area (La Fortuna waterfall etc), but staying at this location was well worth it! We loved having this location for our morning and evenings after a jam packed day of activities.

A magical place

This house was perfect. Incredible views. Spotless. Tons of space and fancy furniture. We loved going to the local water parks.

Rainforest getaway

My wife and two adult children stayed here for a week. Everything was as advertised, especially the need of a four wheel drive getting to the place. A lot of room in the house and beautiful views. The large porch was very relaxing for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home and views

This was our first visit to Costa Rica. The home and views were as good if not better than described. The bird life and comforts of this home all made for beautiful memories. Hope to visit Costa Rica again and would hope to enjoy it from this home again.

Great location

This property is wonderful. Just the other side of the mountain from la Fortuna and a long drive up a mountain but well worth it. There are lots of things to do and places to eat right near the property and the wildlife you can see out your door is incredible.
