You'll have a great time exploring Folly Beach when you stay at this oceanfront home on the western edge of the Washout. A fully-equipped full kitchen is furnished with beautiful cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a gas range. The downstairs suite, while not ADA compliant, has wider doors, an elevator, and features a bathtub equipped with grab bars and a roll-under sink. This is the perfect space to host family events or get-togethers with old friends.

What’s Nearby:
Head to downtown Folly for restaurants, shopping, and equipment rentals for surfing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Speaking of surfing, you can get lessons at Sol Surfers Surf Camp, LLC or Shaka Surf School, both under two miles away. Folly Beach also has lots of great seasonal events and festivals like Folly Gras, the Sea and Sand Festival, and the Folly Beach Jazz Festival. Head out to sea to fish with Sea Breeze Charters, three and a half miles away, for Sailfish, Dolphin, Tuna, White Marlin, Wahoo, and Blue Marlin.

Great views!

Great spot on Folly with views of the ocean from every room. The bathroom with the main floor bedroom is not really handicap accessible - would be better if it was a walk in shower. Kitchen is well stocked and entertaining area holds a lot of folks and the decks do as well. There are really 5 bedrooms! We were unable to use the dryer as the vent was apparently full of lint; despite repeated calls and promises that maintenance would come, they never showed so we made a few trips to the laundromat which was a bummer. Everyone felt tremors in the house at random times - not sure what that means but will be interesting to see if this house is still standing in 10 years. We enjoyed our time there!

Fantastic

We did a family girls trip for a long weekend and had a wonderful time!! The balcony with the swing and rocking chairs were one of our favorite places to be, and there were enough seats for all 12 of us. The large kitchen table was another place we spent a lot of time at and fit comfortably. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. There were so many bathrooms too! 12 women and nobody ever had to wait for a bathroom. There is an elevator for bringing your suitcases up. The overall feel of the home was beautiful and cozy. Most all of the rooms had a beautiful ocean view. There is plenty to do at Folly Beach and some great restaurants. We also spent a day and a half in Charleston, which is about a 25 minute drive. The process of checking in and checking out was a breeze also. I would highly recommend booking this house and plan to come back in the future.

Great beach vacation rental

This house worked for our extended family very well. There were enough bedrooms for everyone. The grandchildren loved the bunk room. The elevator is temperamental but if you can get it working it is a huge help when loading and unloading the car. I really loved the big dining room table with enough chairs for everyone to eat together at night. The kitchen was well equipped for a rental house although I do recommend purchasing a set of wine glasses and some measuring cups. The view from the house is panoramic and the back porch is a great place to sit and read a book or watch the surfers. This was my first time renting from Vacasa. They were pretty easy to work with and they showed up almost immediately when we checked in and were having a couple of issues at the house. Everything worked and we did not have any issues the rest of the week. We enjoyed the golf cart we rented from Folly Beach Golf Carts. Really nice people there. Know that if you are renting when SC schools are in session, the local water parks are not open during the week. I wish I had known that before we went, and we would have done that on Sunday at the beginning of our rental week.

Fantastic Property

This property was fantastic. The house was spotless upon entering. The elevator worked for unloading luggage and the kitchen had every utensil possible plus an array of adorable serving platters etc. There was plenty of seating for our party of ten. They provided beginner soaps and shampoo in all the bathrooms also. We loved the privacy on our beachfront and despite high tide coming up to the steps, were able to put our tent/shade where it did not get water logged. The only downside was the bunk room top beds. The mattress was a 6 inch foam insert over ply wood and the ceiling was very low. These spaces were not comfortable for teen or adult sleeping. We still had plenty of beds to go around with our group of 10 and everyone was extremely happy with this house and front porch. A totally delightful and fun family place to vacation for the week and I thank our hosts for providing it. Go Bucks!

Starting to feel like it's run by a big company

When we started going here three years ago and met the owner, the kitchen was much better stocked. There are no pantry items - not even salt and pepper. Also this time there was no griddle, which we had planned on since there was one last year. No measuring cups, which we had bought a full set and left there in the past. If you don't plan to use the kitchen for much - you'll still love the location like we always do.

Amazing deck! The house is essentially IN the beach!

This house location was absolutely perfect. If you want to be in and on the beach from the comfort of a recliner - this is the house for you. Amazing deck space- plenty of room for everyone to enjoy if you have a large party. Views from every bedroom were spectacular. The porch swing and all the rocking chairs were great! Bathrooms were clean. Some bed linens were worn a bit and the kitchen gadgets needs a good refresh but everything was functional. Carpets were heavily stained upstairs but overall the place was clean. Great area- quiet beach in December with full size grocery store close by (about 15 mins). Elevator helped with luggage for sure.

Friend Getaway

Right on beach. Plenty rockers for porch time. Very comfortable for 4 senior couples (not 5). Elevator very useful for moving in and out. Kitchen well stocked. Martin was very helpful with getting our visit started and even had flowers for the house

Great house for multiple families

The house was perfect for multiple families. Multiple rooms and bathrooms made it comfortable for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. Be warned there are ZERO beach things. No chairs, towels, toys available. It was the first beach house rental we’ve been too and there was literally nothing for the beach, but they provided you a 10% discount code to rent them from a local company. When they say you only get the “basic starters” they mean it. Bring your own trash bags, laundry/dishwasher detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning spray… We loved the view and comforts the house had, only wish there had been a few more amenities that we are used to from other beach rentals.

Great beachfront home away from home!

Overall, very nice beachfront property accommodates 8 adults and 3-4 children. Very well stocked. Great location for watching the many surfers enjoying the big waves this past week.

Great view and amazing home

Getaway for a Girl's Weekend

The property was a great size for us with quite a large group of women (11 in total). We had plenty of space and never felt like we were all on top of each other. Great location right on the beach, which made it all the more fun. Great interactions with the owner of the property. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Beautiful mornings

Overall the stay was good. Issues with the elevator so that was not available as hoped. We loved the area. Bert’s was a great store to visit. Taco Boy was our favorite restaurant. We will visit again.

Had a wonderful time!

We really enjoyed our "girls get together" at Folly Beach. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and beautiful. We do recommend a cleaning out of the kitchen cabinets, however. It looks like time for a "refresh" of that area.

Wonderful home away from home!

This house has amazing views! Every bedroom had a view of the ocean. Numerous rocking chairs to sit outside and enjoy the view. The property had all the comforts of home! Great appliances in the kitchen with numerous dishes and utensils. I would absolutely rent this house again. My only complaint would be, not one of the bathrooms had ANY shade to cover the window. If people were on the other property on the deck they could clearly see into the master bath downstairs.

Look no further!

If you are looking for a beach house in the Charleston area, this is the best! Clean, accommodating to big groups, comfortable beds, lots of hot water, fully supplied kitchen. All of that is true, but that is not the best. It is the location, right on one of the most popular surfing beaches in the area. At high tide the water laps the steps, at low tide plenty of place to put up an umbrella and chairs or take a walk. A wide screened porch with enough rockers for your entire crew, and the natural TV screen of ocean, waves, sunrise and sunset, and surfers galore. All the Folly Beach bars, shops and restaurants are an easy 1 mile drive away… But you must drive a short distance inland and have an amazing seafood dinner at Lolo’s. 20 minutes beyond, and you are in historic Charleston and everything that has to offer. All our group wants to do is go back!

Very quiet, semi-private, perfect for large group

Wonderful beach house! SO many times there's a huge disconnect between the online photos and the actual house. Not here. The house was even better in real life. We had a group of twelve ranging from 18 months to 75 and everyone felt well-accommodated. The house manages to be cozy yet provides plenty of room to find some peace & quiet. Located pretty far up from the busy part of town plus there isn’t a house on the north side so very private and low-key. The row of rocking chairs on the deck became the favorite gathering spot for morning coffee while watching the early morning surfers. The waves were literally right below us at high tide. Then again in the evenings with our wine time while watching the kiddos enjoy the last of the daylight. House was extremely well-stocked; we cooked every evening and never lacked kitchen wares - even platters for cheese & crackers. We appreciated the little touches like night lights in the bathrooms and tons of extra blankets. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Folly B.Golly house

We loved the location, the beach access and all the outdoor space. The screen porch was especially nice with lots of rockers and a lovely ocean view. All bedrooms were comfortable and also had ocean views. The living room also had ample seating and the large dining table was useful for dining as well as game playing. Four full bathrooms and a downstairs powder room met all our needs. The elevator allowed for easy move in.
