The property was excellent. It’s a beautiful condo. We really enjoyed the two story. The location was perfect. The neighbors and local residence were very helpful and accommodating. The private beach and access was wonderful snorkeling among the reef. was very good saw sea turtles every day. it was very easy for beginner snorkelers to learn in this water plus there was enough fish for an advanced snorkeler our only regret was nine days was not long enough

This is a beautiful place for people that have NO kids and want a quiet peaceful place. We were not allowed to have music on during the day by the pool because it would bother others. We were the only ones at the pool! Just beware, the property manager watches everyone like a hawk. We will not return.

This lovely spot was perfect for our Maui vacation. The location was great, and this lovely home had all we needed for our stay, including beach chairs, well-equipped kitchen and a lovely lanai overlooking the beach!

Beautiful Stay

The property amenities including the semi private beach are top notch! We were very comfortable with our rental. Had issues with the washer/dryer that couldn’t be resolved before our departure but fortunately it limped along well enough for us to use it. The management assured us that a new washer was on its way to replace this one. So the next renters shouldn’t have an issue. Aside from that, I couldn’t find any reason not to come back! We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Maui.

There was no beach. The pictures online are outdated and should say that depending on the time of year there may or may not be beach access. Also, I would NEVER go here again with my children. The site lets you believe it's a family place but it's more like an old folks community. The property manager was all over everyone with kids, reminding us of the rules our children were breaking (no fun was allowed for kids: no splashing in the pool, no beling loud, no throwing balls in the nice grass area, etc.). Several other parents were there too and we all agreed we wouldn't return to this location due to the strict rules for the kids. The check-in/out process was easy, the unit was clean and very well equipped. Would recommend adults only going to this property in the future.

Thank you for your feedback. The beaches in Hawaii are constantly changing due to tides, currents, and weather conditions. Following the recent storms earlier this year, portions of the beach were temporarily washed away, though much of the sand has since returned naturally. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the experience for children at the property. Perfect place for a getaway

We love coming to Hale Mahina. It’s in a perfect location with a private beach where you can see whales from your balcony (when in season) and turtles beach themselves daily on the beach. In the early afternoon we call it “turtle time” because the turtles are on the move and you can see them passing by from your lawn chair while enjoying the sun and fresh ocean breeze. My 3 year old just loved the pool and he had a blast the entire time. My older kids actually got to surf right out in front of the condo. All the condos here have a balcony that faces the ocean so there will not be a bad view. This location has everything you need. We even left behind 2 bodyboards and sand toys for the next family. We really enjoyed our family getaway

Definitely Stay Here

If you love sea turtles this is the place to be. They are here 24/7. The condo itself offered the most beautiful views. There's a bedroom down stairs and the upstairs bedroom is an open loft. It worked out perfectly for us just wanted to make sure that is stated for couples traveling together. I will be staying here again on our next trip!!

All but one thing....

The condo is lovely, the view is gorgeous, the property is beautifully maintained, the people are friendly, and the rental agency was very helpful. The ONLY disappointment is that the fold out couch in the living room is basically a sheet stretched over metal coils, rendering it useless as a bed. Thus the condo really only sleeps 4 people. Replace that and the unit would be be perfect! Everything else was great.
