“The 808 on Lake Keowee” offers the opportunity to melt away all levels of stress with one of the best panoramic views of Lake Keowee. It is also the absolute best spot on Keowee for fishing! We have underwater fishing lights that bass and catfish love!This home is a quiet escape but only minutes away from dining and shopping and just a short drive to the Clemson University campus. This professionally decorated house is perfect for spring/summer vacations, attending Clemson University activities, viewing the changing leaves in the fall, and snuggling up to the calmness of the lake in the Winter. A private beach area and magnificent sunsets are guaranteed to please.

The dock is an ideal area to experience a serene, early morning quiet time, as well as the opportunity to witness a "front row" view of a sunset containing colors of pink, purple, and blue. A covered porch with a television offers the perfect place to grill and relax in the evenings, after a fun day on the lake.

The master bedroom with a king size bed, offers the calming view of the smooth early morning lake scene. Bedroom 2 offers a queen size bed that is comforting and relaxing, with an attached bathroom. This home has a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. A custom bar area is the perfect place to keep your beverage ingredients as you enjoy your time at "The 808". The stairs lead to a spacious loft area with both a queen size and a full size bed . This loft is a nautical-themed area for kids, as well as adults, to have their own space. Both loft beds have a great lake view. The custom made, well-stocked kitchen, meets the needs of fixing a picnic basket for your day on the lake, as well as preparing dinner as you enjoy a relaxed evening.

Lake Keowee Marina and Tiki Hut are within view of the backyard and just a short boat ride away. The Lighthouse Restaurant is a 15 minute boat ride that offers an indoor restaurant for nice dining, as well as an outdoor area for dining that is more appropriate for your fun lake day attire. If you choose, you can spend a day hiking to several locally-known waterfalls that are just a short 20-30 minute drive.

50th birthday getaway

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. Your home was immaculately, clean and beautifully decorated. We very much enjoyed our stay relaxing at the lake on the deck. The House did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time visiting our daughter at Clemson University and celebrating my husband‘s 50th birthday.

Stayed in this lakeside retreat for 2024 parents weekend. Beautiful weekend and beautiful place. Really enjoyed a relaxing day on the lake the day before the big game on Saturday. Highly recommended!!

Visiting the kids at Clemson for the weekend.

We had a great time. The outdoor covered porch with the TV was great for game day! The house is well maintained and clean which can be hard to find with our high standards for cleanliness. We will definitely stay here again.

Traveled to Seneca to celebrate senior day and Ring Ceremony at Clemson. the property far exceeded our expectations. Wonderful Long Visit!

We had a fantastic stay for a couple weeks on the lake. The hosts were very personable and there was great communication to make sure our stay was comfortable. The views of the lake are amazing!!! This home is wonderful and offers all the amenities to provide a relaxing time away.

If I Could I’d Buy It!

This newer home is super-clean, has a fantastic view not blocked by trees, easy lake access and superb host! Upon entering I was wow’ed by the view. Beautiful inside and out, and it’s like you’re right on the water looking through the tall A-shaped windows. The view is also gorgeous from the kitchen, living room, loft sleep area and master. All furnishings new and clean, in good condition. No steep hills! Decks are furnished, comfy and roomy. The water at the dock is just right for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking since its a small but wide cove just off the main lake. There are some yard and water toys, you may want to bring some floats to hang out in the water. The slide is fun for those with skinnier-hips (kids). The firepit is next door, not for this house. The “beach” area was smaller than shown—lake higher during our July 2023 visit, but still can walk on the sandbar to the little island. Lots of mica and some exoskeletons for the kids to find! Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Hubby loved it too, would choose this one again. He’s more succinct, with 3 words: Scenic convenient comfortable

Amazing Spring Break Getaway

Sherry was delightful to work with. From the moment we booked, she answered any questions and was there for our needs until we checked out. The house is spectacular and the views are stunning. My kids and hubby enjoyed fishing every night and they especially loved the lights off the dock. This home is a quick drive to many restaurants and shops! Clemson was an easy for drive for us back and forth as we came to the area to visit the campus. You can't go wrong with this property!!

Outstanding Long Weekend Getaway

Our stay was very relaxing with incredible lake views. The house had everything we needed and plenty of room for for our party of six. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with a short drive to a Clemson football game. Easy drive back after the game also. We are looking forward to planning a return in the summer so we can enjoy the fabulous dock, fishing and clear lake water.

Beautiful property

We’ve stayed in numerous VRBOs on lakes/oceans, this was our first in SC so wasn’t sure what to expect. The property was well maintained and owners clearly care about their property/business and aim to please. There were a few items that we have become accustomed to having that we couldn’t find such as a cutting board or hangers in the closets, but these were easy work arounds. In all our rentals, we’ve never seen kayaks as up-charges, but we bring our own so that didn’t impact us. The driveway was a bit difficult to maneuver with our truck and bike hitch, cannot imagine how we would have navigated that with our trailer had we brought our boat. However, I’m certain communication with the owners prior would probably find a solution in advance should someone be bringing their motorboat. Will definitely be taking some ideas for our future lake property with us such as the deck with TV and lights in the water, the latter made us appreciate just how healthy the lake is with nighttime feedings. If we visit SC in the future, would definitely consider renting this property again or another by same owners!

Little slice of paradise

This is our 2nd time back to the 808 and it did not disappoint. We love the warmth of this home and you cannot beat the location . The cove is peaceful and my family loves to paddle out to the small islands nearby . Yoga on the deck in the morning to game playing and fishing at night . Sherry provides clear directions and suggestions for anything you need and immediately responds if you need her . We can’t wait to return .

Fantastic times

Thank you so much for sharing your house. From the well appointed kitchen to the fantastic views, this house did not disappoint. The kids had fun swimming from the dock after a nice day on the boat. We purchased this lot and built our house here because of the magnificent open view of Lake Keowee and the close proximity to the lake. The neighborhood is quiet as well.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This house is apx. 25 yards from the lake. Many houses for rent on Lake Keowee require you to walk a longer distance to enjoy the lake. Many are positioned on a hill and the guests have to maneuver steps and steep inclines, in order to get to and from the lake. Here, the back deck and the dock walkway are separated by a short distance of stepping stones. When you awake in the master bed, look out the windows and you see nothing but water, feeling instantly happy and calm.

The back deck is covered and has a TV for porch entertainment and relaxation to end a fun filled lake day.
